Very informative video! Try using a thick rubber band (like the one found on broccoli 🥦) instead of tape to clamp your pliers. Lots of folks have told me all kinds of different temps to use so it was nice to hear what Mr.Trickle's advice is 😁🤘🏼

Great video! I like diaphragm shocks vs emulsion shocks on my oval cars as well and build them just like you showed. This is one of the best dirt oval shock tutorials out there JB!
Tip that I learned is to clip an alligator clip on the wire in between your solder and electrical component. It will act as a heat sink and protect the electrical component

I use the plier method but put a ruber band around the handle ti hold stuff
