Hair in the back of my neck always seems to stand up when watching the video of a live stadium performance of "Never let me down again!" & Dave starts the arms side to side waving with thousands in attendance! Btw, I am 51 as well. 🫡✌🏽
Well your parents grew up with DM even if they didn't listen. The things that were going on when your parents were your age affect you now whether it be music, politics, or whatever when on at home when your parents were young like you. ;0
It was the first album I heard when I was 15 in 1987. The sound blew me away. It was something I've never had heard before. It is the best album for me until today. Also because of Alan Wilder.
I've followed depeche since I was 14,now I'm 47 and they are still amazing, I honestly can say they haven't done 1 song that I haven't loved, best band ever!!!!
My older brother was a fan from the early 80s, so early DM was always on at home. When Music for the Masses was released I was 15 and it was one of the first albums I bought to listen to myself. Violator was the game changer for me, and to this day is my favourite DM album.
I can't believe fletch has left us 😢 such a tragic loss 😔 💔 seen depeche a few times, grew up with there music through the 80s,such an amazing band live...my heart goes out to his family ❤
Alan Wilder: “‘It’s Called A Heart’ has to be my least favorite, dare I say most hated, DM single ever, and I was anti even recording it, let alone releasing it. In fact, I fought tooth - and - nail on behalf of the B-side, ‘Fly On The Windscreen’, which was far superior. To me, the whole thing was a serious backward step. I felt we’d worked diligently to build up recognition for a harder sound, with more depth and maturity, and here was this ultra - poppy number that did nothing for our reputation. “Sadly, I was out-voted by the others, although they recognized that ‘Fly …’ was wasted as an additional track and agreed it should be promoted to the next album, Black Celebration. Even now, I have trouble listening to ‘It’s Called A Heart’ and in the case of the [limited edition 12”] ‘Slow Mix’ which was reduced to half - speed, making the experience twice as long and twice the agony, you need to be particularly devout to endure it.”
Depeche Mode Has Good Music Especially In The 80's I Like Listening To Depeche Mode Too I Know Great Songs When I Hear Depeche Mode. Everything Counts, Blasphemous Rumors, Stripped, People Are People Just To Start A List.
I've literally grown up with Depeche since my teens when my little immature brain was forming and moulding to my environment and my awareness. They defiantly help form my adult outlook and personality, maybe just a wee bit!
Me too! Was 16 when Violator came out. Before that, the most played cassette tapes were “Catching Up With Depeche Mode”, “Music For The Masses”, and “101”
This hit from Depeche Mode was heard on the Miami Vice episode, El Viejo, which aired on November 7, 1986. Miami Vice will always be one of my all time favorite shows. It was the first to combine MTV with police action drama.
I Love Watching Miami Vice Great Show The Music For The Show Is Good Music. Definitely One Of My Favorite Shows Too. 2021 Police Shows I Wouldn't Watch Them.. Miami Vice In The 80's Is My To Go Police Show Hands Down. 🔥🔥🔥 The Actors For Miami Vice In The 80's Were Awesome. If Miami Vice Was Ever To Get A Reboot As A Television Series It Will Be Hard To Copy The Legendary 80's Version. Not The Same As The 80's Were. Miami Florida Now In 2021 Is Different From The 80's Decade.
I wish this song was released in the U.S. when it came out. Millions of people who were into a variety of musical genres would have benefited from it. The hip hop kids would like the beat. The Goths would like the lyrics. Classical fans would appreciate the orchestration. Underground dance clubs in big cities would have this one playing every night.
I first heard this song on a Miami Vice episode in 2010. I had to add to add it to my music library. To think I’m still discovering DM’s music. I would love to see them live in concert.
The first time I heard this song(this version, in particular), was on a late night radio program, on our local college public radio station. The program was called, "Static In Stereo", and it ran in the late 80's. The first time I heard this, I fell in love with it. I still love it.
Me Too Better Than Today's Crap People Listen To Now In 2021 I Refuse To Listen To The Music Out Now In 2021. The 80's Were Better Music And Television.
DM and Metallica are my two favorites that I cannot choose between. And I been a fan since the beginning. 55 and still living in my mind of my teenage years with this song blasting.
56 now . I was 18 when this album hit. Been listening to depeche since some great reward album came out 4 years earlier and been with me ever since. Not producing the quality of music of old but every now and then they surprise us with a gem. 20 years ago it was precious. Just under 10 years ago cover me. 2 years ago ghosts again. Can't wait for the next one. When we talk about legendary bands been going 45 years now and without doubt the most underrated band on the planet from the 1980s followed by in my view by tears for fears . Love to all
I went out & bought the cassette for _Black Celebration_ when it came out and played it over the car speakers and this song BLEW ME AWAY! Just sounded amazing on those car speakers! Thanks for posting! 🪰💀

To jest po prostu niesamowite, że pod płaszczykiem takiej z pozoru wesołej melodii udało się przemycić dość makabryczny tekst. Co mogę jeszcze dodać, po prostu mistrzostwo
I love it!so much! Listen to it every week, sometimes twice a week…it remembers me to some pain, to something banned, but something who wants to be part of my life…thank you 🙏🏻💝
Going to see these guys in October. Twice, actually. In Oakland, and at the Hollywood Bowl. I can't wait. I last saw them at the Shoreline amphitheater in Palo Alto in 1986!
We've lost a lot of very good people to various plagues. Mostly because of government evils (suppression of information, failure to respond with research, etc.) But the music was great, and I'm glad YOU are still here.
The albums of their Berlin phase are unsurpassed. The soundtrack of my not so happy teenage years. A bit after we, DM and I, lost each other, as we went different paths.
Had seen a dead squashed fly on the fridge glass in a shop yesterday. When all normal people think some of these "oh shit, it's awful", I've been playing in my head : "DEATH IS EVERYWHERE THERE ARE FLIES ON THE WINDSCREEN FOR A START REMINDING US WE COULD BE TORN APART TONIIIIGHT " Left there, turned on the track and thought "After all this time? Always..."
I knew there was no official music video for this song but I still searched for it lol really cool project you made like 15 years ago now? i like that you saw an apocalypse in the song

Me too!! When I was still in my youth they put out "Behind The Wheel" and I remembered other tracks like "Everything Counts" etc and thought to myself "hmm yeah I like the kind of alternative sound of that lot." Spied a copy of "It's Called A Heart" on 7-inch on my local record shop's bargain section, snapped it up and upon getting home and putting on the b-side, that was it... hooked on DM for life. This song was just such a breath of fresh air, confronting the darker side of life which much of the rest of the bubblegum pop out there largely seemed to blissfully ignore. Long live the Mode!
They were lean, arty and really quite indie sounding in those days. I'm afraid to say that I lost interest in their music quite a lot after Alan Wilder left. He took some of that magic with him. Violator was the last album I bought.

Is it strange that I'm in my 20s and I absolutely love every album by Depeche Mode
That's not strange. Just good taste.
I hope not
Not strange at all! They are loved by millions worldwide!!!!!!
Well your parents grew up with DM even if they didn't listen. The things that were going on when your parents were your age affect you now whether it be music, politics, or whatever when on at home when your parents were young like you. ;0

One of the best albums of the 80's Depeche Mode at their creative peak.
I think its thier best album ;)
@@seanharvey3223 After Violator (even 80s ... 1990) und Music for the masses?

I think it's their best....they still have their quirkiness, which was lost from Violator onwards
Rest in Paradise Andrew Fletcher 🙏 and Thank You for all of this Amazing 👏 ❤ music which is part of the soundtrack of my life.

I’m 49 and can agree with you. I’ve been a fan of theirs since the early 80s.
52 but you can honestly say you liked the last couple of albums ? For me they lacked something and have rarely listened to them again.
@@garypayne4284 100% agree. (51). Lol

I saw them in Glasgow in April 86. Dave wore a red tartan jacket at the start.
R.I.P. Andy Fletcher 🙏

DEPECHE MODE MY ETERNAL AND BELOVED BAND
such a deep song
I remember when it was released and we were all dancing in the clubs and most of my friends were still alive and everyone was wearing black
We've lost a lot of very good people to various plagues. Mostly because of government evils (suppression of information, failure to respond with research, etc.) But the music was great, and I'm glad YOU are still here.
Miami Vice, one of the best episodes ever, El Viejo! And what a wicked video. It equally fits the song as much as the Miami Vice scene it was used in.
Obrigado Deus, por existir DEPECHE MODE, amo suas musicas................................................
This was overall their best album!
I had this song in my head and searched youtube and found this video. This video was great. Thanks for making it!

Муха на ветровом стекле - Финал
Death is everywhere
Смерть всюду,
There are flies on the windscreen
И мухи на ветровом стекле
For a start
Для начала
Reminding us
Напоминают нам,
We could be torn apart
Что мы могли быть разлучены
Tonight
Сегодня вечером...
Death is everywhere
Смерть всюду...
There are lambs for the slaughter
И ягнята на бойне
Waiting to die
Ждут своей смерти,
And I can sense
И я ощущаю,
The hours slipping by
Как пролетают часы
Tonight
Сегодня вечером...
Come here
Иди сюда,
Kiss me
Поцелуй меня
Now
Сейчас...
Come here
Приезжай сюда,
Kiss me
Поцелуй меня
Now
Сейчас...
Death is everywhere
Смерть всюду...
The more I look
Чем больше я смотрю,
The more I see
Тем больше вижу
The more I feel
И ощущаю
A sense of urgency
Чувство безотлагательности
Tonight
Сегодня вечером....
Come here (touch me)
Иди сюда (тронь меня)
Kiss me (touch me)
Поцелуй меня (тронь меня)
Now (touch me) (touch me)
Сейчас (тронь меня)
Come here (touch me)
Иди сюда (тронь меня)
Kiss me (touch me)
Поцелуй меня (тронь меня)
Now (touch me) (touch me)
Сейчас (тронь меня)
There are flies on the windscreen
Мухи на ветровом стекле,
There are lambs for the slaughter
Ягнята на бойне,
There are flies on the windscreen
Мухи на ветровом стекле....
Come here (touch me)
Иди сюда (тронь меня)
Kiss me (touch me)
Поцелуй меня (тронь меня)
Now (touch me) (touch me)
Сейчас (тронь меня)
Come here (touch me)
Иди сюда (тронь меня)
Kiss me (touch me)
Поцелуй меня (тронь меня)
Now (touch me) (touch me)
Сейчас (тронь меня)
