I’ve never had Iranian food. I like that they use a lot of spices which I bet it smells amazing. Growing up I enjoyed a Swedish cookie - that fruit filled one that you had. Hallongrottor (Swedish Thumbprint Cookies). And those are some of my favorite cookies very nostalgic for me, especially during the holidays. I make them every year. You need to start speaking Farsi have fun, loving all your videos.
Ps. Sumac is simply a sour berry that’s dehydrated and ground up - and you’re right, it’s exactly like lemon. Great over fish, over eggs, definitely over kebabs.
We left already but I’ll put it in my notes. if we go back we will definitely try it!! Thanks so interesting! Makes sense why it tastes like lemon. I was not expecting it haha. I can see it being incredible over fish!!
@@nicolemd33 you've got discerning tastebuds! :) Ps. the mehyoveh (over the Iranian crepe aka regag) is fermented anchovy sauce. One of the best ways of adding umami to things, love it when it's done right and not overly fishy.
Hi I was watching your video I saw your entered Iranian restaurant where is this place located in Dubai I have been to Dubai I saw your eating some kind of dish in the beginning was that sweets and what is the name of the sweets and where is this located in Dubai
The first place we went to was Bandar Bride Special Kabab in Deira located near the Souk! The sweets shop we went to was “Abshar Iranian Sweets” and it was the napoleon cake we ate. They have lots of locations in Dubai!
