The entire script is an avalanche of an unbelievably patronising condemnation of this woman. But, the audience can rejoyce as she finds salvation from her life of iniquity by falling in love with a good, all-American young doctor --- with whom, it is understood, she will have children and for whose comfort she will have his slippers and pipe in hand. It is fascinating to compare the mores depicted in this 1947 film with our present-day attitudes. Thank you for posting this film.♥
Speaking of science, Hedy's daughter said her mother advised her plastic surgeon on the correct way to tighten the loose skin of her upper arms! I could use the same technique.
