Scott’s pricing makes no sense! The bikes are simply not worth the money.

      I really don't this
...7K (entry price) for an ebike with horrible range and power specs, propriety components, and overengineered design...pass

Wil is actually a fairly average size in person, might be the camera angle.

The bike looked mint in person. Great review and well done on the massive climb/ descent.
Was nice to meet you and the kids were stoked to see us cross the bridge in the background.

    Thanks Wil for the vidéo.
I have to make a choice between Voltage 920 and Lumen 910.
At the moment i still ride an orbea Rise carbon on fireroads and fun forest trails with few rocs and sand. Here in Réunion Island the Voltage is the cheapest 😊

it's a shame they didn't choose fazua with higher power and a replaceable battery (

nah, the fazua is way too loud. TQ is the best motor out there.

How does this compare to the 2020 genius e900 tuned? As I have one and want to upgrade to something

What bike does your cameraman use? Does he always use it or does he change it often to also test new bikes?

It looks like they’re already discounting the Jam2 SL in Australia which makes the price differential with this bike even greater. I don’t get how a bike with less motor and less battery costs more. If it was an electric car it would be the cheaper model. Still it looks like a fun bike to ride!

The one turn off is the inability for the user to easily remove the battery - this is an issue when travelling and charging this in a hotel room

rotwild rx 375 released in 2021 also weighs 19 kilograms but has a full-fledged 85 hm motor and an easily replaceable 360 battery...

True - and back in 2016 the Focus JAM2 launched with a full-powered motor, a 378Wh battery and a range extender to double the capacity. The OG of the lightweight e-MTB segment, with a concept that was waaay ahead of its time! [Wil]

@@FlowMountainBikeTH-cam 100% agree! I would like to see more of this concept, and not built-in small batteries and weak motors.

Top stuff Wil, was great to see a back country range test on video which helps riders to not only answer questions about the bike in realistic non standardised trail conditions but also about various trail destinations in Australia. I'm yet to take my ebike to the cascades but have often wondered whether I could park my car at Marysville, ride up the fire rd on Red Hill get to the summit and ride down the cascades back to the pub on 540wh battery, 60nm and almost 21kg bike weight. I guess that wouldn't be happening based upon your experience, do you think you'd have made it back with any juice if you had gone up the tarmac instead of the fire rd?

      Thanks Sandy!
I made two mistakes on that range test - one was going up the fireroad, which really did chew through the battery a lot more compared to a nice consistent speed on the smoother road. The other mistake was trying to do the climb on the HIGH setting. If I used ECO to begin with I would have easily finished the whole ride.
I reckon a full loop would be possible on your Rise, but definitely on the Eco mode.
If you get the chance, put the Cascades Trail on your list - it's an absolute ripper!

Thanks for the tip Wil, eco it is then 👍. Been itching to ride the cascades since I got the Rise, just need a few more weeks for a fractured rib to heal from an off during my last proper ride at Coronet peak in NZ which was freakin' awesome 👌 (the ride, not the injury)

About to attempt to replicate your ride on the weekend. Did you go up on falls rd, yellow dog rd, robley spur fire rd to ticket box?

Rode the 51km 1500m of vertical climbing from Marysville to Lake Mountain and back down the cascades mostly on eco with a tiny bit of trail on the last few sections before finishing off at the pub. Made it back with 15% remaining in the 540wh battery but the body battery was completely rinsed after such an epic ride

Until now I was a Scott rider. But the integrated shocks make the bike unattractive. I don't like it
