I would love to see a Go-Pro on Jeff Emig on the 150 bike. He still knows how to ride the small bores probably as well as anybody in the world today. It would be interesting to see where he gets on the gas, with no bogging out of the corners and almost no coasting (brakes to gas). We would learn a lot if we figured out what he is doing. I really did not think 4-strokes would turn out to be so different in operation, but they have become that way.

Jeff still rips on any bike!

@Brian. Have you had a chance to clock the lap time on the 2stroke at Glen Helen versus a lap time on your 4stroke to compare the timing?

I have not but that would make for a pretty cool video!

@Brian#934, You looked faster on the 2stroke unless if lm mistaken 🤔

@@FoxRacingNYC I think the noise makes it seem faster.

@Brian#934, You probably right about the sound, but if you time your laps on both bikes then you will be able to have an accurate number.
You never know, you might be faster on the 2stroke by few tenth of a second.

@@briansworld934 You would probably have to practice on a 2-stroke. Not many of us today can ride them like we did when we were the best in the world. Not only has the 4-stroke made a bike easier to ride, (and immediately extend careers starting in 1998.), but with the faster 4-stroke engines, the tracks became faster and smoother. Like a dirty road racing course, almost flat out to the next jump or corner. To go fast on a 2-stroke is a totally different cornering technique. like entering the corner a gear high, with the throttle pinned, and feeding the power out with the clutch, (unless a slick track). The 4-strokes just roll on the power, many times with no clutch work.
At 60 years old (and with cancer that I am trying to beat), I sure am not going to jump what you guys do. But compared to what I rode and raced in the 80's and 90's, these tracks look like fun vet tracks. For example, Red Bud was down right scary for me when it was clay in my prime, and now it looks like a fun vet track to me.
I think the EPA forced 4-strokes made the racing too fast too. Injuries are much higher, and even deaths on the tracks have climbed. And that is with less people riding than in the 2-stroke days.

Would you rather have the 150 or the 125?

The new 150 is really good!

    5:13 Electric start on a tiny bore 150cc 2-stroke?
Do you kids wear Pampers under your riding pants?
    My goodness. lol

That sounds like a 125 2-stroke to me, (could be a 250 on the fast track?).
How much easier is that to throw around compared to your 4-strokes?
I will admit. I don't know how to ride a 4-stroke. I never had the interest to buy a machine the EPA forced on the industry.

I missed the 125 and 150 text, until I saw the 150 text. That is what I get for typing a response before I watched all the vid. :)
