It's important to note that Korra is pretty under-socialized. She spent most of her life training in isolation, so her emotional intellegence isn't great at first.
Honestly, I kinda do like that each season is its own main story with a different villain and all that. It's much different that The Last Airbender for sure, but it still works IMO. Plus it's very interesting to see a bunch of different kind of villains, rather than "the dude that wants to conquer the world!" :p
I love how emotional and expressive Bolin is. Lots of media and society try to push hyper masculinity and tell men to hide their emotions. Bolin isn't afraid to show his emotions, express himself, and loves himself. He's all about the positive self worth, while in our world its full of people pushing each other down.
The drawback is that it's never pictured as someone seriously emotional, whenever he cries or has an outburst it's played for laughs even if we know the situation he's at doesn't warrant it :(
Actually Korra has never said that she love Mako, she just liked a lot because he essentially was the first prety boy she met after being captive in the South Pole and very understandable, specially cause these characters are teenagers, oposite to the "dreamy love" of Aang being a little kid, so they´re more realistic showing the ephemeral and natural tastes of the affairs at that age (like happened with Mai and Zuko)
You probably didn't recognize the voice but leader of the Wolfbats Tahno was voiced by Rami Malek from the Mr. Robot series, Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, the Night at the Museum trilogy, and the Twilight Saga.
@@EversPrimeTimehe was also Flip McVicker in BoJack Horseman, the Villain in the last James Bond film No Time to Die, he was in Oppenheimer, Need for Speed, and Larry Crowne with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts.
3:07 The Air Scooter, oh and yes they have done it, in the first episode when they were getting down from Oogie (the bison) other than that don't remember if they have done it again at this point 🤔
Yeah, I didn't realize that til I finished up S1. It all makes a lot more sense...also a bit disappointing to hear though, because a sequel series has so much potential!
I've always 100% blamed Korra she kissed Mako after he told her he was confused about his feelings, but that he is with Asami. Mako wasn't paying attention when Korra initiated the kiss & he reacted to it. Regardless of how you feel about someone weather they like you even when they are with another person already, you should never try and kiss them, especially when they're not looking at you at the time.
Your assesment is totally fair, even if I didn't agree with it; but I do. I've rewatched Korra S1 and liked it more with each rewatch, but the love triangle in E5 is easily the more played out and cliché thing the series has done.
Korras official ship is something you would never guess with season 1 XD i'm pretty sure the love triangle was also something nickalodian executives pushed, as it is heavy handed and forced through the whole of seasons 1 and 2 x.x ya know those 60-70 year old guys in a board room who know how much teenagers love love triangles. you cant have a series for teens without relationship bs
Not a sports person myself neither, but the interesting thing about pro-control is that reshape the way to do bending. If you look closely, in ATLA the bending is bigger and "dramatic" but in LOK the bending is a little more similar to the pro-bending style. At first it bothered me, but then I understood that the citys are bigger, the concentration of people is bigger, it make sense the bending has change
Well pro bending is only 3 rounds each fight, but it's not only the best 2 out of 3 situation because of the knockout rule. If, before the end of any round, all the team members of any team are knocked out of the ring, the remaining team automatically wins. That's why there's always a third round, even if one of the teams already won 2 out of 3 rounds, and that's the reason why the match can end in round 1.
I find it hilarious and kind of ridiculous (echoing other commenters' pointing out how under socialized Korra is) that she chooses to take dating advice from literal children. Girl... you need more friends your age (who aren't potential suitors) lol
The second is much better! 😱🔥 The kiss between Korra and Mako was beautiful. Of course it wasn't fair to Azami. But Mako isn't a bad person. He would never want to hurt her. It will surely work out. They are friends. 🥺💔
@@gojiramonster2388 if his patreon fans hated Korra, why would they even wanna rewatch it with him or even subscribe to him in order to watch a show they themselves don’t like. People are very open to him giving it a chance, as am I, even though the show has its faults like I said
@IsraelLlerena it's an obvious bait, don't even pay attention to it. Ever ended the video on a super positive note and this fella still managed to spin it into hating...

Oooh, I hadn't considered that! I'm sure this won't be the only situation where this comes into play haha
And they're between 16 & 17, so very understandable.
They really parallelled Toph with Korra. Both grew up in isolation, have strong earthbender personalities, and start out with inept social skills.

It definitely makes a character more dyanmic!

This is an incredibly fair take. I didn't consider the lack of socialization like someone below said. That changes a lot of my opinion about it.
Actually you see the children do the air ball scooter in the first episode when they’re reuniting with Katara! They air ball off of their bison
OH, I guess I erased it from my mind 😓Thank you!! :D

I haven't seen ANY of that 😭

To clarify about the haste of the plotline.... They did think this was it for the show...

Yeah it just doesn't feel right at all. Definitely not a scene I expected to see in this show haha

If that's the most played out, then we have smooth sailing ahead cause oof 🤣 But it's alright, every show has its thing

I expected relationships, because yeah, the target demo...but mannnn 🤣

I wish we got more probending outside of the romance stuff. Pro bending is awesome.
I understand you don't shipping Korra and Bolin, because I shipp him with me
AIRSCOOTER
YESSSSS
The side-plot is teenagers lol
fr though 🤣
TLOK will still be my favorite in the avatar universe but I absolutely HATED the love triangle…. and mako.

I feel like it's very sad that I've seen bigger clusterfucks of trash fire love triangles (squares??) in my own teenhood, though. Hooh boy. XD

We'll have to seeee 👀👀
Don't worry, ep 5 is almost universally hated. In contrary, almost every ep with Amon is great.
I'm glad to not get raked over the coals on this one haha
welcome to: the legend of whorra!
It's sad this reactor has let his fan's negative opinions about Korra get to him. He's already resigned himself to hating it. Such a shame.
I meannnnnn a lot of people don’t like this part of the show. It’s not because of comments, he even explains why he didn’t like it.
@@IsraelLlerena Trust me, he will start to hate it more just to appease his patreon fans
