INCREDIBLY USEFUL iPad Tips - Part 2

  • You might not be getting the most out of your #iPad, but we’re going to change that today. In part 1, I covered some of my favorite tips to help you get more out of your ipad, multitask, be more productive and save time. My tips in this series are in no particular order, so I’ll link to that #ipadtutorial at the end of this one.
    One of the #ipadtips I’m going to mention today actually turned Siri from something I rarely used to a feature that has been extremely helpful. And another one, significantly sped up my typing.
    Hopefully this iPad tutorial is helpful, let me know if there are other iPad-related tips and tricks you want me to cover.

    Super helpful, thank you sir. Both videos really informative. I’m considering wether to purchase an iPad Pro (12.9”) or MacBook Air to complement my desk setup where I use a MacMini M1. I’m not a creative (video, photo etc) person and my use case is business, using gsuite etc. Where with the hopeful release from captivity from COVID I will be looking to travel (from Ireland) to Uk and US. Also, with the (predicted) 5G cellular addition to the iPad Pro later this month would be the winning feature for me over the laptop. So thanks again for the informative videos and really enjoy the rest of your content. Best, Dave

      @@TechGearTalk, no problem at all.
      As a consumer of content, it is very easy not to take a moment to either give constructive feedback or just say a simple "thank you!". As a quick point of observation, in nearly all iPad, Mac, etc reviews, it is mostly from the view of a creator discussing productivity improvements, etc in making content. What would be cool, is to see some videos on how the same tools can be used to run the day-to-day business logistics (email, meetings, how Microsoft or GSuite tools work on device, etc) aka. "the boring stuff" but really important. I set up a software company with my business partner and using the apple ecosystem had great benefits for us. I'm sure the same could be said for Microsoft etc. I could go on and on, but I will stop there. Again thanks a million, and if you are ever in Dublin, drop me a message and I would be delighted to have a pint with you!! Happy St. Patrick's Day ;)
      Best
      Dave

    Very helpful, thank you. Do you use or recommend the 12.9 inch or the 11 inch?

    • @TechGearTalk
      @TechGearTalk  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great to hear David. Have you ever used the 12.9? It's amazing and I live mine, but I would first make sure that for what you need, it's not too big. I know that sounds funny, but it's not as portable as the typical iPad. If you're going to go the 11" path, also consider looking at the Air 4 and saving $$$. See if this video helps: th-cam.com/video/ITzEdftH57Q/w-d-xo.html

      @@TechGearTalk which size do you recommend for note taking, using diagrams to represent and model ideas? With the 12.9 inch, does your hand sit on the screen and make it difficult to take notes? I don’t need portability at all, but I would use the iPad to read documents sitting on an armchair, as well as at a desk. Thank you so much.

    You could show how to use the IPad as a second screen for
    a MacBook Pro using sidecar. A video with hints on how to use the magic keyboard. I was hoping that it would function more like a MacBook.
    Unfortunately I was wrong but having a keyboard allowed me to set up not corners..

    Hey do u think it's a good shot to get the ipad 2020 ( and I dont think the retail price would drop that much ) or better wait for 2021 no matter what .... after all those rumours god ... what would u suggest ?

    • @TechGearTalk
      @TechGearTalk  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At this point, I would wait and see what happens when the new one launches. I would also look at the 2018 iPad Pro too because most people don't need the upgrades from 2018 -> 2020. Hope that helps.

    Just an FYI for anyone who might be wondering; the keyboard swipe down feature is only an option for the numeric keys on iPad Pro 12.9 inch models... WTG Apple 🙄

    Great and simple explanation. Make iPad tips series. If you find better way, just update the video with it and not make another video about same tip.

    Hi
    I recently subscribed your channel because I thought you would be able to help me.
    I am looking to buy airpods. I am 13 and have standard ears. Yet I am scared about the airpods pro hurting my ears and making them sore. I have the choice of the airpods 2 as well. Are the airpods pro light?
    Would they make my ears sore?
    I also need a new phone
    Choices between iPhone 12 Mini vs iPhone 11
    Airpods wait or buy? Also which one?
    Thank you so much in advance :)
    iPad Pro wait or buy? If the new ones gonna cost the same then I might wait!
    The video was greatly helpful :) loved it!

      Hi.
      Personally the airpods 2 are more comfortable than pro. I would get 12 mini as long as it's not too small. iPad Pro - I would get the 2018 one now (2020 doesn't really give you advantages) or wait for the new one.
      Hope that helps.

    iPad 7 OS 14.4 When using your first method of Find on Page using the address insert window, I don’t have the bottom bar, Find on Page. It only appears when I use the Square & Up-Arrow icon’s drop down menu’s Find on Page.
    The keyboard’s shadow characters caused me a awful lot of misspellings that I threatened to return the iPad for my money back. Apple showed me how to turn off that keyboard feature. Apple said the feature works better with small fingers than large fingers. My index finger covers the key. Now if we could only eliminate the accidental touch “undo” key which many have complained about for many years to Apple. I’ve found my PC is much more reliable for writing.
    I don’t see the benefit of Siri. So, I deactivated all Siri’s functionality.
