The pacing of this film is insane. The way the tension builds throughout is some of the best. By the end you leave the movie right on the edge, just as intended
Trent and Atticus ALWAYS put everything they have into their scores, and to hear that it stood out in this movie is so cool to hear!
I love them, but i wish they would go back to scoring better movies.

This movie was excellent!! Saw it at a press screening last night and it’s my favorite movie of the year so far.
Zendayas fantastic fashion on the red carpet for this film has done so much in promoting this
Her stylist quit styling and only kept working with her because they have such a fashion partnership. He occasionally styles Celine Dion when she does something in public as she was his first client but that’s it. Just him and Zendaya, that’s it.
For some reason I always remember the day you reported on this story 2 years ago Grace, I'm excited to see the movie!!!
Zendaya is the next Kidman. Calling it. Thinking about ‘Legacy’. Zendaya has stayed ‘normie’ enough… while making amazing wild choices with her talent and brand. She’ll be around for decades. Talent and intelligence.
Denis Villenueve loved working with her. He thinks she has a future in directing.

OMG! I've always made the same comparison. She always reminds me of classic Nicole Kidman. I love it! Reminds me of Julia Roberts too.
Nicole is severely underrated. She's one of the best actors, period. Exceptional in almost everything.
Nicole Kidman shouldn't be in the same sentence as Zendaya, at least imo. Kidman is a great actress, who has been a part of some phenomenal movies, like The Others, while Zendaya hasn't made any movie that I would consider to be a classic movie. Not to say that Zendaya can't act, but it's not the same level as Kidman.
Did anyone else get an Anime vibe from the way they filmed scenes with the closeups and the tennis shots? Also the ambiguity of the relationships? It reminded me so much of that form of animation.
I died, Grace. Zendaya is taking good care of her white boys. Haha. Love you and your humor. I wasn't interested in this film until your review.

Zendaya looks AMAZING in this movie & I’m 100% on board with the Zendaya fan club now. Her makeup & hair🤯. I don’t like tennis, but this movie is sooo much more than just tennis, it’s such a great watch & hope shows everyone that Zendaya truly is a leading lady, & a very powerful one at that. Just wow
Saw this with my partner with a full theatre. The experience was exactly what you want, everyone was openly engaging and just having fun with the film. This is a film I think really benefited from a full theatre experience. You don’t need the best seat in the house you just need to experience it with friends and a good atmosphere.

I watched this movie and enjoyed it. But this is a love triangle, not throuple.
Grace, I had no interest in seeing this movie at all. I thought it would be a movie directed at Tweens like "Cruel Intentions." But your review was so glowing that I started to consider it. Then, all the talk in the live stream made me want to see it. So when my plans fell through on Friday, I decided to treat myself with dinner and a movie. I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF THIS! I'm a writer, I've written 3 books, so I can really appreciate a good script and this is a great script. The call back at the end was just EPIC! I was waiting for it. I knew it was coming, and it was just perfect. Zendaya's acting is top-notch 👌🏾. She deserves an Oscar nomination, and I would go as far as saying she deserves the Oscar. This should follow the same path as Everything Everywhere All at Once. Things would have been very different at the Oscars had this came out last year
Just saw the film and absolutely agree with you Grace: that soundtrack is on fire! I was also tapping my foot to it. So exhilarating. Maybe the 5th character in that film - after Darnell Appling? And what an empowering female character to play, more driven by career than romance. Nice to see the usual romantic interest trope turned on its head for a change. Yes, passion for sports or else, brings people together as equals, regardless of gender.

I was always going to see this movie because of Zendaya, but you've sold me with the Cruel Intentions comparison.
I saw Challengers last night -- sorry Grace but the Cruel Intentions comparison is marginal at best. Challengers, while it had some great shots in it, is a slow and uninteresting movie with a horribly unsatisfying ending. As for the threesome aspect of it - apart from the one scene this has nothing to do with a throuple. Worth a watch down the line on streaming but not worth paying to see in the cinema.
Zendaya’s bob in the trailers sold me! Can’t wait to see it. Literally counting down the days.
The score was great however it was distracting in some scenes especially when it over took the dialogue at times so I couldn’t understand what was being said in the scene. That was annoying
Yes, especially in that big fight scene between her and Patrick that started their lifelong resentment. I understand the use of loud music, but maybe have subtitles over it so we can understand what's going on? lol

I saw the 3pm showing of this yesterday Thursday May 2nd at the AMC La Jolla 12 in San Diego! Easily the best tennis based romantic comedy since WIMBLEDON (2004)!

Yeah. From what we can see so far, Amazon don't seem interested in film distribution, so I think MGM will continue to have partners like Warner Bros. here.

If you play sports, don't watch it. This is definitely not a sports movie. Just a girl cheating on her husband multiple times.

I’ve been saying since Past Lives came out last year that both of this couples movies being about an awkward love triangle is a bit too crazy a coincidence!
The music was nice, but it seemed too jarring, popping in. Like it was more hanging a note on the scene than being in the scene.
The acting/dialogue was actually my favorite part of the movie and many people said it was bad based off the trailers. As soon as you see the reason for why Tasha is the way she is with art, her acting makes so much sense. I also thought making their relationships tied to tennis was genius. Even the simple conversations were juicy because they had underlying intentions

This isn’t the first queer role for Mike Faust or for Josh O’Connor, and I’m so glad that they both keep choosing such interesting queer roles! They always bring something fresh and fantastic to a role, and I’m thrilled to hear that you enjoyed it so much.
I love this trio. Loved Josh since God’s Own Country, Mike since Dear Evan Hansen, and Zendaya is obviously Zendaya. Will try to catch this.
