Many years we summered🎉 at Harwichport. As I live in western mass. I can say Cape Cod is wonderful at many seasons.There is a playhouse that's wonderful in Chatham..

We live in West Dennis during summer but always make several trips to Chatham. Love downtown always buy my niece cloths at Chatham Kids, sister-in-law stays at Wayside so frequent The Goose, always grab a drink at Squire or CBI beach lawn or the beach bar. Take boat to Monomoy, beaches harbor. Catch baseball game at Veterans and our favorite restaurant Del Mar is just outside of downtown.

Yes! Chatham has lots of great whites due to the seals. Cape Cod in general has become a home for great whites.

We would never harm any seals or endanger them in any way. But good question, and we'll have to ask next time we see em. lol
Actually it is illegal to be closer than 50 ft of the seals... it would have better if you raised up so they wouldn't flee into the water.

I agree. Music is too often in the foreground of videos and movies, drowning out the voices. Aggravating! That being said, I love the Cape and especially Chatham, a vacation spot at my grandmother's cottage for many years,

Chatham -- decades ago as a kid, I "summered" there with my insane, unhappy Puritanical (and racist) New England "family." The only good thing? There were TEN TIMES fewer tourists then. Now that's gone too. UGH.
You do realize that it is a federal violation to fly your drone that close to seals and whales...
As much as they are a nuisance and currently overpopulate our waterways, decimating the fish population, it's still illegal to disturb them in any way...

Summered there ever since the 1950s, beautiful town, but way too overdeveloped! Moved there in 1988, raised a family there, NOT a family friendly town! The dark underbelly of the Cape, alcoholism, the highest rate in the state, drugs i.e. heroin epidemic, and suicide! My three kids knew students there that committed suicide! Barnstable County even made it to People magazine in a cover story feature in the 1990s regarding this! Chatham..."A drinking village with a fishing problem", what the wives of local fisherman have stated who also live there! So if you vacation there, have fun and enjoy, but don't move there! Way more expensive now, homes go for half a million to over a million dollars now!
