Its our shifter kart first drive! We built a custom go kart using a 5 speed 190cc Zongshen engine and full suspension to build a mini cross kart, designed to dominate the CarsandCameras Grand Prix and all other go karts, yard karts included. In today's episode, we clean up the pit bike wiring, fabricate a fuel tank, install a pan hard bar, and take it for its first test drive!

Love the project. I notice y'all consistently make the shifters ridiculously tall. Add an extra pivot point above the existing one and you can run a much shorter shifter with less throw. I'd worry more about that shifter+open face helmet combo that I would have about the tail fins. At least put something on the end of your suicide shifter that is larger than your eye socket.....👁️🩸👎

It’s a pretty damn punchy 190cc’s though. 18 HP ain’t nothing to sneeze at from a 4-stroke engine that size.
I’ve been a subscriber for over five years, and man oh man I am so happy to see how far the channel has come. You guys have really went above and beyond, And the builds just keep getting crazier and crazier. Keep up the great work!!!!

I would lay it down about 45 or so degrees fwd after lopping about 2/3rds of it off, so it's a comfortable reach forward and down. You know, like an actual SHIFTER. :-) It looks ridiculous and works absolutely terrible now, from what I can see. I'm hoping it's current configuration is intended to be a joke. If it wasn't, it is anyway, MHO.

One of the coolest things I seen on a channel called "Make it Custom" when you build petals buy dollar general 1.50 meat tenderizer hammers, and use the tenderizing surface to make non slip pedals. The guy I seen doing this used a hammer to make clutch, and brake pedals for his 34 dodge truck.
I love the way you guys are all so supportive of each other and work great as a team.
I really think you guys need to make Isaac deserves his own mini carts and monster trucks that are his size. It's not like you guys won't fit but he looks like he is sick and tired of making stuff he don't fit in comfortably.
Isaac is a legend and makes the show what it is.. Give him some extra love man it's not like he doesn't deserve it.

We've used Hello Fresh for about 5 months now, and it's actually quite good. If you are tired of the same ole same ole every night it's a great change up.
Looks great, fab the last three or four things, adjust a couple and let's see that thing GO! It actually looked like the suspension was making it a LOT smoother.

Very cool cart, but speaking of Ike fitting in stuff, I would love to see you guys move up to big boy toys. The trophy Kart was awesome, but I'd love to see you guys build a 4wd SxS that can rival a RZR/Wildcat/Maverick/etc.

My wife did Hello fresh for a while... the food quality and freshness was exceptional ... the worst part was all the packaging needed that we had to throw away and of course she does not cook enough and prefers takeout so she never used anything she bought so if you're a cook like me then you could love it as it can eliminate most grocery trips

I think you should put a motorcycle motor on the limo cart. That would be pretty awesome. Love to watch your shows can't wait for them to come on every week. Wish there was more but I know how that is. Just keep up the good work guys thanks.

if you put another hole in the steering arm essentially shortening it that will give you more steering angle .
You guys should think about trimming that shifter lever down, before you actually turn it into a yard dart with your arm playing the role of the ground...awesome build anywho

My friend just did this with a go-kart I had as a kid. He put a 125 ssr pitbike motor on it and it rips right along. Needs better gearing as it tops out at 22. But it's fun in the woods

You guys it sounds just like a 1980s 250r three wheeler with either a big gun exhaust or a dg with no baffle. Sounds epic!!! Thats a nice set up right there
This rear setup is fighting itself. Crossed braced trailing arm with a panhard bar will bind. The bar will be in tension in both compression and rebound. Having chain drive with the chassis mounted engine, trailing arms and wide track is the madness of this setup. I do hope you test it without the panhard. Hope it all works out, congrats on the million and keep the builds coming.
Kinda what I thought.....it could travel up and down evenly but bind if it articulates....right?
I missed the fabbing of the trailing arm to bearing design....can the rear articulate?
@@benrials8010 no i can't, and they don't want it to. the engine is mounted to the chassis, so if the axle articulates then the chain comes off.

When you got this thing all done you're going to have to drop a brand new 190 in it with electric start and everything maybe eventually pick a cool power Wheels body and put it on it definitely needs a new bigger motor ported and polished performance carburetor and exhaust The works in this thing would probably be the fastest thing you have once geared correctly

Nice build but, I would think going from 4” shift leaver to such a long shifter arm that you might damage or bend the shift forks in the transmission.

Hello fresh is a great way to learn to cook! I've used them and found that cooking is definitely within my grasp.
That shift throw seems pretty long. Migh also want the clutch on the shifter w/ a handle so you only need to work abt gas and brake w/ feet
The yard dart switch panel is the next skill level for you guys. Looks good.
Add some weight to your flywheel for help taking off. The engine will rev slower but will have more inertia at takeoff from a stop.

The Gear shifter is very dangerous. If you wreck someone could impale themselves. Cutting it down to 1/3 it size and then out an outward bend on the shifter will give you a place to put your hand nothing that could hurt you all. Other than that I can't wait to see it finished

I feel like this one will take the top spot on the grand prix! Suspension and brakes are solid, good power, and a quick steering box.
Loving this build. It is checking off all the boxes for a fun ride. You gotta cut down that shifter/eyeball impaler rod though.

Very nice build. I have some suggestions for refinement. In my opinion you will enjoy the drivability a lot more if you shorten the shifter to 6-12 inches and place it near your hip, about mid thigh. And then cut the seat out so that it is not in your arm pit when your hand is on the shifter. This shifter position allows you to hang onto it or near it when cornering. Found this to be a great position after building my first shifter cart in 1980. I used a 100cc two stroke Chaparral motorcycle engine. Then later used the same frame and put in a supercharged Honda Z50 engine.

Tail fins!? You need to do something with the "IMPALER" shift lever. I think you will want to lower the gearing too. It seems like you are going to be torching that clutch to launch it hard. It will be interesting to see how the top speed is.
I thought it was pretty shity how Ike just kicks off the fins Charles put on. He could have politely removed them off camera instead of Chuck Norris them across the shop just as show how much he didn't want them on. I sense some hostility from Ike towards Charles. Lay off dude
I have a feeling this will be one of the quickest on your grand prix. If I can make a suggestion, redo the shifter so that it is a short horizontal stick down at your hip so all it requires is a quick yank up or down, with it being so long and tall like it is now, not only does it take longer to shift but you could inadvertently put too much torque on the shifter shaft and break something. (hopefully that's not what already happened!) Keep up the good work guys!

Although for the zs190 your idle is a bit low. You need to set them to idle at 2000rpm.
Some sort of gear indicator would be helpful in the kart too.

I appreciate the cart it's very unique but I think it might have been said that a hand clutch on the shift lever may have been a little easier it would ease the cluttered pedal situation
