Thanks for the video. I have been absent from the Pokemon card collecting world for over 20 years. It's been a long hiatus. Now I am back and there's so much to learn. I do have a few questions: - Do you collect all the cards in a master set before putting them in a binder? - How do you know when to leave a slot a card that you're currently waiting on? For me, if I am 200 cards into the binder, but then I realized I missed a spot or two for some cards, then that means I have to remove all the subsequent cards down the row and redo them to accommodate the cards that I missed. Tedious and can be a waste of time. - How do you know how many pokemon cards in a set? Is there a website you go to check off each pokemon card in a set? - What is your strategy to complete a master set? Do you buy only ETBs or booster packs, tins, etc. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. This would help me in my Pokemon journey.
We usually start putting the cards in the binder once we have picked our binder and sleeves. We know how many cards are in the set based off of the set list in ETB'S, but can also be found online. We use pokellector.com to keep track of the cards we need. If we are putting together the binder and are missing some cards, we will usually use an energy card to hold it's place until we get that card. And yes, we also move the binder if we miss a card, or find out there is a promo card that goes on. It is very tedious and we hate it! Lol.. as far as what we open, we open pretty much everything! Lol. Mostly booster boxes, but we also open ETB'S and collection boxes for the promo cards, and to showcase some of the stuff inside the products. One we get to a point where we are only a few cards away, we will usually try and trade our buy the remaining cards we need. Ends up being much more cost effective than trying to pull it all yourself! But if that's how you like to collect, that's ok too! Hope this helps some, and welcome back to the community! It's a great place! 😁❤️
@@RoCheyPokeDECKS Thanks Rodney / Cheney! I appreciate your feedback. This helps a lot. That's a great idea about using energy cards as placeholders. Booster boxes mostly - taking note of that. Since I literally jumped back into the Pokemon card collecting world, there was way too many products to choose from regarding one set(?) - I didn't know where to start. Terminology is all new to me as well, e.g., reverse holo, secret rare, gg - those were definitely not there in that base set era. My last card I bought was a holographic Japanese Typhlosion. When you buy the remaining cards, do you usually buy online? My TH-cam feed is filled with several videos about people being scammed with fake pokemon cards. I am absorbing as much information as I can. Thank you for all the guidance. Inspiring to see you two as ambassadors in the Pokemon community. Keep crushing it!
@EhrenSixon yes! A lot has changed since the base set Era, lol, but still just as fun! And when we buy cards, we buy online, usually from TCG player or eBay, or we sometimes pick up singles from card shops. We have also bought cards from Facebook and Instagram, but that is sometimes more of a gamble unless you know the seller. But so far, we have been lucky and not been scammed. Just gotta be careful cuz if a deal seems to good to be true, it probably is! And yes, booster boxes tend to give you more bang for your buck pack wise, but plenty of people out there have great luck with all kinds of products!
Im just starting this master set right now! My question is how many cards in total are in the master set including commons, reverses, gallery, promos? Need to know how big of a binder I need
If you want it to go side by side, you will need the 12 pocket binder. If you put reverse holos on top, like some people chose to do, you should be able to fit it all in a 9 pocket binder. The 12 pocket binders are 480 cards.
First time here! And wanted to say thank you for showcasing the cards. This is the only set i am trying to complete. I am almost halfway through. Such an expensive addiction is what i call this lol. But love it
Def expensive, but too much fun to stop! And Crown Zenith is one of the most fun sets to open and collect! So many cool cards! Good luck on completing the set! 😁
@ I actually find a lot of crown zenith cards at conventions and card shops, I might just order the random uncommon cards I need on TCG player. i’ve skipped the whole Scarlet and Violet generation just to try to complete this set😂
@LavaX2000 Conventions and card shops are a great place to find what you need to finish! Much cheaper than buying the ETB'S! 🤣😱 And tcg player is great, too! We finish our master sets the same way!
Congrats completing the master set of CROWN ZENITH! I just need 4 more cards to complete a master set: holo Tapu Lele, reverse holo (trainer) Pokemon Catcher, reverse holo (trainer) Trekking Shoes, and a holo fighting energy card (no texure)).
Main set has 280 cards. Galar Gallery has 70 cards for a total of 350 cards. We also threw in 4 promos as well. Galarian Articuno SWSH282, Galarian Zapdos SWSH283, Galarian Moltres SWSH284, and Lucario VSTAR SWSH 291
Love the set! Currently trying to master CZ as a family right now. I debated changing the book around to make the big picture but ultimately didn’t still debating it haha. Do y’all not consider the collection box promos part of the master?
If it is a black star promo, we count those toward the SWSH promo master set, but if it is a different art, or holo, or non holo deck exclusive, we count those as part of the set!
It is loads of fun! Just getting back into collecting the last couple months because of the kids. Really wish we would have been in time for celebrations at MSRP but you can’t win them all lol. What did y’all mostly source your CZ packs from? We’ve had our best luck with the Galarian bird tins.
@@UNFORGOTTENxONE pretty much just ETB'S.. A few collection boxes and tins, but mostly just etb's.. and in the end, we traded for the last few we needed to finish...
The way the cards are put together in this binder look SO 🔥! Absolutely amazing
This set is absolute 🔥🔥🔥!! And putting it all together was awesome! Thanks for watching! 😊😁
"One of the rarest cards" 🤣🤣 yep, that lucario was a tough pull for so many of us!!
😂so hard to come by!
woohoo!!!! Awesome video and so glad was able to help you complete the set #binderlove!
Yes! Thank you! 😊
Nice to see it complete. I'm currently working on it myself, I need to pick up a vault x binder once there in stock
This is prob one of the most fun sets to open and master! Good luck with completing yours!

Heck yeah! Takes a village to complete a master set! ❤
Amazing set! Anyone know how many pages the binder has?
Thank you! The binder has 40 pages, holds 480 cards total.
@@RoCheyPokeDECKS Thank you!

Sounds good, thank you for your response!! :) Will 480 fit the promos also or do I have to go to the next capacity? @@RoCheyPokeDECKS
480 will fit the promos too
Do you guys also double sleeve your cards before putting in binder? @@RoCheyPokeDECKS
Did you add the prmo cards and unknown and lugia V to the set to really complete it 100% ?
Promo lugia and unown are in the sword and shield black star promo binder!

I have a question. Is the sleeves in ETB are pvc free acid? What kind of sleeves did you use?
I'm not sure what the ETB sleeves are made of, but we use Dragon Shield sleeves. They are very high quality and come in a lot of cool colors!
Is this a 360 or 480 card binder... ?
This is a 480 card binder!
FREAKING AWESOME! love seeing this since i will never complete an english set
Never say never! Lol but this set was so fun to finish! We had a lot of help with trades! 😊
I started working on this set a few months after it came out and I’m still working on it now and I need 20 something cards more😅

Congrats! Love CZ! Love to get some of your doubles!!! Love Pokemon card collecting with my son age 11!!!!
Such a great hobby to enjoy with the family! 😊
Message is on Instagram or on discord and we can trade!
My fav is either the regi vstar or the leafy vstar. And of course those golds!!! So tough to choose just one.
I agree! So many favorites!
I still haven't been able to complete the set its hard I don't know where I can get the rest besides buy them

We sleeve everything! We use Dragon Shield sleeves for our master sets cuz they don't slide around as much in the binder
Thanks for the tip
You're welcome!
What sleeves are those?
Those are dragon shield sleeves. We started using those for all our master sets!
Congratulations!
That took some work, for sure.
Absolutely love this set 👑
The pinnacle of sword and shield. Possibly the best set too.
how many cards is it total?
This set has a total of 350 cards in it.
You help me for the master set thanks🐤🐤🐤

Oh wow!!! You went big! We started, but quickly realized how hard it would be to complete!! Congrats to you for finishing that set! 👏
If you really look into the set they don't actually have a master set cause I'm trying to do it and when I did a deep dive into the set I cried 😂
What do you mean?
@@RoCheyPokeDECKS there a couple stamped cards and a set of friends in hisui and friends in sinnoh cards from the professor program 4 of each In total

Holy shit this sounds like the cringiest power point presentation ever.
