#Nahvalur #fountainpen #unboxing
Thanks for your video! I recently bought the same pen model, and since it was my first vacuum system fountain pen, I didn’t know why dried out so quick even though it had the barrel full of ink. The tip of unscrewing the end cap when writing with the pen just solved out my problem (and my frustration with the pen 😊)
I'm so glad you found the answer. The ink chamber will be sealed off when you screw it tight so it's a great pen for traveling on planes, as you can write dry the feed and then have a sealed ink compartment.
I have the Narwhal Rose Gold. It has the smoothest nib I have ever experienced. The pen compares similarly to my TWSBI Diamond 580. Enjoy!🖋
Hi Marcy, what nib do you please? ✒️
@@linsefton454 Medium. I do have an unboxing video on my channel.

Thank you, heading to yt ×
Thanks for sharing! I haven't written with it long enough to judge the nib just yet, but what I experienced from the test is promising.
Loving the color of the pen, beautiful.
Thanks, Donna!
@@seemownay how many types of nahvalur pen
Thank you for sharing! Yes, difficult to tell if it's medium or fin nib.🤷🏻♀️
Right? It doesn't really matter to me, I like the line width that it puts down. Now it just needs to perform well.
I have the narwhal primary macchiato and I assume it is the same nib. I’m trying different inks but so far I’m not extremely happy with it.
I enjoyed this video… very interesting and informative.
Thanks, Gail! I have not written with it for a long time to make a judgement on the nib. So far it seems fine to me. Have you tried flossing and all the other "home remedies"?
My next purchase 😁👍
Good choice! Hope you enjoy.
I have never liked these nibs. I replace them with the goulet nib. They are easy to pull and swap.
I have a narwhal primary macchiato…Can I buy a goulet nib for that, do you know?
@@gailsbookishthings5191 yes, you just need to know if it is a no 5 or no6 nib.
I still need to get to know the nib more before I make a final judgement but it's good to know there is an option to switch out the nib. Thanks!
After the whole thing with TWSBI I will never buy a pen from this company again. It doesn’t matter how many times they will change their name. A lot of people don’t care but I do. I should probably just sell the only pen I have from Narwhal and maybe one day I will.
I agree… changing the name seems pointless.
Interesting perspective given that TWSBI initiated that whole debacle, not Narwhal, and later retracted their claims against Narwhal. Most collectors who were bothered by that chose to boycott TWSBI, not Narwhal. Perhaps the facts have gotten distorted or changed through word-of-mouth exchanges of information?
What happened between TWSBI and Narwhal, and was that the reason for the name change?
@@ironmic9244 It's a long story, but you should be able to search for it. In my view, it was not the reason for the name change, and if so only indirectly. The official explanation was that a narwhal is an animal and the owners wanted a more distinctive name that would be less generic and work better in searches. Whether one likes the name change or not, it did not directly address any issues with TWSBI and in fact took place after the TWSBI issue was resolved. TWSBI had no beef with the Narwhal name. If anything, that whole issue may have caused the owners of Narwhal to check for areas of vulnerability.
@@ironmic9244 Basically, TWSBI sent a letter to it's authorized dealers saying that the retailers would no longer be allowed to sell TWSBI if they also sold Narwhal. There are images of this letter online. TWSBI claimed that Narwhal had copied their piston filling system. It later came out that the piston filling system had in fact been patented to Pelikan, and when the patent ran out, TWSBI set out to make a more affordable version. In the end, TWSBI retracted their demand, and this meno too is available online. It was quite the kerfuffle, but I fail to see how anyone can blame Narwhal for it.
