I sold my 3rd Ed and ordered the 4th edition with the the mounted maps. I enjoy all of Mark's 194x series though I prefer Bitter Woods to Mark's Ardennes '44, this is my favorite Normandy game ever (Replacing the Longest Day I bought in 1980 and wore out). Thanks for highlighting this excellent game Joe. Ps, a suggestion...... Make a shelf of shame especially of the new classics and play them! Don't have to video them but I'm sorry to see this modern classic still sitting in shrink wrap. 🙂
Thanks Ray. I really should take more time to just play games without worrying about doing them for video. Having said that, I would love to do a themed month on the 194x series. I don't have Ardennes or Ukraine (the latter is hard to find at non-exorbitant prices) but have the others.
Now that's an idea! BTW, U'43 is being completely updated/rereleased I heard through GMT so sit tight on that one and save your money. A'44 available P500 GMT
Joe's got a high ratio of unboxings to playthroughs lately. Unboxings of reprints are largely unnecessary since there's likely already videos of the previous print out there.
OK, even though I feel like you post this stuff just to get on my nerves, I'll break this down. TH-cam gives creators analytics for video performance (views) of the most recently posted content vs. the other nine of the ten most recently posted videos. Of my most recent 10, three are first looks (or unboxings if you prefer), three are playthroughs and the other four are other things (channel update, sports game, PC game and a setup video). Of those ten, the top three are the first look videos. The playthroughs rank 6, 7 and 8. I had the Normandy '44 video shot before I went on vacation and posted it now simply because I'm still recovering from the COVID I caught while on vacation. It's doing reasonably well (#3) vs. the other recent videos measured by views at this distance (about nine hours) from their debuts.

I've always been into videogames but I think I have to try this out.
It's a great system.

I notice the counter sheets are a little different, so that's informative.

@@HexedAndCountered Could be your choice of games chosen for playthroughs keeping that category of videos in 4th place.
@@AlexanderWinterborn-r6p please don't cry it's unmanly
Instead of explaining the box size is an optical illusion why not lift the shorter box level with the taller? It is a video after all.
I winged it, nothing was planned there and I liked the optical illusion. The point was made regardless of how I did it.
