    Casey Stoner : The first and probably the only one that fully tamed a Ducati ever. Too bad he had to retire early due to sickness.

    • @christeckstein7952
      @christeckstein7952 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Correct..stoner was the one and only fully tamed the unrideable original ducati..
      the ego of ducati is so high,
      when rossi came and changed the bike, the never give, but they give rossi input to dovi, when rossi out to yamaha.
      and lorenzo come, also want change, again ducati not giving it until lorenzo sign contract to Honda, and then suddenly the bike lorenzo wants coming, and he also became superior
      and now dovi wants to go, i bet dovi's input will be given when he left next year..lol..
      same old ducati, too much ego..never admitted rider input..

    • @christeckstein7952
      @christeckstein7952 3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Oh yes one more..if you ever see the documentary...sickness is not the only reason stoner left...he left also because he sick of motogp future..motogp is no longer about the rider..its not rider controls the bike, but bike controls rider...so for him, motogp is end..he also admitted if motogp back to setup when riders more involved controls the bike, the only riders competent to ride are him and rossi..

      @@christeckstein7952 I stopped watching when the Freddy Spencer / Kenny Roberts era of 500cc two stroke race bikes ended. Rossi brought me back in the mid 2000's but I'm pretty much done with it. The Isle of Mann is on my bucket list though. One very small thing Ducati should thank Stoner for is I was always a Suzuki rider but Stoner moved me over to Ducati and I've been there ever since. My age (and back) keeps me off their sport models but I'm a firmly in the Diavel camp now. Almost 70 but still putting in 10k a year on my Ducati.

Marquez is a god of motorcycling he is so complete in every aspect like Rossi was, but Marc rise his level when he become a specialist also in the starting of the races and Rossi doing pole was always weak but a master in the race and Marquez master in both with indeed his agressive relentless pace. only one to shut down rossi's incessant dive bombing tactics, only one to tame ducati, only one to dramatically improve every bike he rode. My only regrets with stoner is he didnt stay longer and his fall at the suzuka 8 hour really wanted to see him do well there.
