If I had subs like this back in the 90s I would of been Unstoppable...I was hitting 149 dB which don't seem like much these days but this was the early 90 there were no high extrusion subs they all looked liked woofers. And the best amps at the time that I was aware of were US Amps VLX 400 and VLX200 The were monsters at blowing woofers up.
About halfway through the video, as the sub is doing 30hz, in the background on the shelf looks very much like a push pull parallel toob amp, is it bad i was more interested in that?

Wow , these are absolutely gorgeous subs !! Call me nuts , but I have good vibes about this sub . Some Other companies subs have an evil feeling to them - this one brings happiness. Its sexy and unique lookin too . I like this little company here 💪😎👌
The subs were designed by Jake Fuller as well, the Jacob Fuller of Sundown Audio.... and I haven't looked at the specs, but I know they're 2k watts RMS, so if Jake did his thing on these subs, and it's just the "throwback 90s" look....these things probably dig deep 👌🏼
@@johnnygeorgopoulos4072yeah I was impressed too see a 4” voice coil. They’ll probably handle quite a bit more than 2k as long as they’re in an enclosure that’ll keep them from bottoming out.
Had some Audiobahn 18" subs in 1999 and then they came out with these a year or 2 later. I wasnt a fan then because of the flames. These are slightly better.

The color combo is beautiful
it's kind of Pyle blue

Best thing about this is the 4” coil.
Mechanically very quiet.
Why a foam surround and not rubber? Santoprene or Butyl? Was this just a wholesale cost savings?
Multi layer foam is actually superior. Butyl would be a low budget option
Foam offers better compliance, efficiency, and durability, and less distortion especially at higher power levels. It was an obvious choice for us.
You would never want rubber on this type of suspension the layered foam does a great job of holding up and keeping sub linear
To high power of a sub for that
100 watss? wow!
