    Have one with 3 panels on a Costco special. It’s awesome. Runs circles around a GoPro. Go for it.

    if i have a component pulling 1900 W , can this be used to run it for long term use ? Example The item plugged into the Lion Safari ME and the lion receiving charge from panels and maybe plugged into the house power source, basically using it as backup power unit ?

  • @DCGULL01

    That's impressive. I actually like the form factor: small, compact, modular. Not a lot of space, but plenty of juice, easy to over panel and use power while charging during the day as well. Van Life, small C RV, cabin- back up for home. Pricey at $3,400.00 with discounts- but, easier than building your own.

    I'm have the same system with 6 panels and it is great. Now I am having issues finding the transfer switch that will allow me to plug the generator into. Where did you source it?

    Hey Brother I really appreciate the review. Do you know if the solar connector works with after market or other solar panels? Subbed and liked.

    • @fullmoonadventureclub
      @fullmoonadventureclub  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. It will work with any solar panels up to 600 watts . Just make sure that the positive negative polarity is correct. You may want to confirm with the company but the panels that come with the unit are 24 volt but I believe it accepts multiple voltages up to 600 watts. Thanks for the question and happy camping. Jim

    can this run a refrigerator with 3 solar panels?

    • @fullmoonadventureclub
      @fullmoonadventureclub  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the refrigerator. However, in my experience you need 600 watts of solar to make sure you get back to full charge from running the fridge all night off battery power alone.

    Does your transfer switch run every circuit in your house? If so, what is the brand and model number? I am really impressed with your set up and would love to see a video on your transfer switch install and capabilities.

    • @fullmoonadventureclub
      @fullmoonadventureclub  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does run every circuit except for the 240 volt double pole Breakers. Since the generator is only 120 volts I have to turn off the dryer 240 volt breaker. Technically you're only supposed to be able to run one leg(side) of your breaker panel but it is possible to run both. I made you a video covering the way that it's all set up but I have to be careful showing people electrical setups when they may not be a professional electrician or comfortable with electricity. We'll see.

    I wanna get this for my Van life built. Would you recommend this product for Vans??

    • @fullmoonadventureclub
      @fullmoonadventureclub  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely. Should have more than sufficient power needs for anything you need a van. You could even run a small 5000 BTU ac window unit for a small amount of time so running fans or a small microwave or anything should be just fine with this unit. Should be perfect for you.

    Can you use the batteries for an inflatable pool and hot tub? The inflatable hot tub has a regular plug. Can I use these batteries to power the backyard lights?

    • @fullmoonadventureclub
      @fullmoonadventureclub  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can definitely power some lights. I'm not sure how much energy your Portable hot tub uses. If it uses 1500 watts which is a lot of power, and you had the extra battery, It would run the hot tub for about 2 hours.

    • @fullmoonadventureclub

      They both have different pros and cons. I really like both of these brands. If I can ever get my hands on the new Inergy Flex I will enjoy testing it as well. So far so good on both. I have had the Kodiak and Apex longer so I can say they take a beating and work great. I would just say do your research and decide what features suit you best. Jim

    This video was excellent. I'm researching solar generators to power one or both of my window AC units, a 607 watt and 800 watt. Would only be used at home in an emergency power outage. Looking for something safe that will run for 8 hours that I don't have to ground. Do you have any suggestions? Also don't want to hurt anyone from power company when they are working on lines and my knowledge base is limited. Thank you :-)

    • @fullmoonadventureclub
      @fullmoonadventureclub  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Lion safari ME will do that but 8 hours is a stretch. You would need full solar and extra batteries. I might do a video on my transfer switch setup for safely connecting to a house but you could also just use extension cords.

    • @rizipt
      @rizipt 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah that 30a thing is a weird conundrum. Put a 15a fuse behind a 30a plug and people are going to be upset. Remove the plug, offer an adapter and what do you know? People are upset. I think the Titan is the only one actually delivering 30a.

    • @fullmoonadventureclub
      @fullmoonadventureclub  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not a 30 amp plug it's just a RV connection. It has a 1500 watt inverter which would only be able to handle 15 amps at most. It was more for convenience. But I missed it I wish they hadn't taken it away on the new flex.

  • @rjakiel73

    Way overpriced. Base unit 922wh averages $2,000. EcoFlow and Bluetti bury this thing in price and capacity.

    • @fullmoonadventureclub
      @fullmoonadventureclub  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Keep in mind that the lion ME is using lithium iron phosphate batteries which have 3600 charge cycles to 80% capacity whereas Lithium-ion batteries sometimes only get 800 to 2000 Cycles depending on how you treat them.. They're also much more stable than lithium ion chemistries. Just something to consider.

    • @rjakiel73
      @rjakiel73 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fullmoonadventureclub and? 80% of 2000wh is still nearly twice the useable power of 922wh. Also keep in mind that’s assuming you’re fully cycling the battery which most people do not. Add in some pass through charging with solar and it makes this Lion Energy offering even more laughable.

    • @fullmoonadventureclub
      @fullmoonadventureclub  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rjakiel73 you are more than welcome to your opinion. I believe the lion safari me also have solar pass-through charging. And to be honest I don't have any experience with the other two Brands as I cannot seem to get my hands on one for review. I was just throwing out the battery type for consideration. I believe blue Eddie might even be coming out with a connection process to produce 240 volts which would be amazing for home backup Solutions.
