Mike, outstanding, the Ducati Imola Racer with the NSR motor will be ready for next year, I'm going to the Classic TT, if you want that ride on the parade bud, she is all yours.
Mike the guy you past on the TZ350 on May Hill was none other than Nigel Rollason, so you weren't hanging about mate! For those who don't know, Nigel won the Senior Manx Grand Prix in 1971, and would have been racing in the TT in 1972 when you were there watching with your Dad. He went on to win the Sidecar TT in 1987 on the Barton Phoenix the outfit that ran the engine of Silver Dream Racer fame. Not unlike your good self Nigel's a thoroughly nice bloke, served as president of the TT Riders Association in 2013, and has a wealth of knowledge about the TT and racing in general. I met him and had a good chat at the past winners parade in 2013 - he even posed for a picture sitting on the old LC!
It was a great opportunity for me to "scratch that itch" of doing the TT/Manx, loved it really but at the same time the competitive side of me said "no way"....
Great video Mike, thanks. Nice to see many bikes there that I know very well including Gibernau's GP6 that I was lucky enough to get my leg over recently :) Love the Morris boys, don't see nearly enough of them. Or you and the missus for that matter. Must rectify that. I think some of our bikes must be reaching classic status by now. Must have a word with Phil and see if there is a spot going. ;) Glad you had fun.
