    I have been trying to learn VBA for a long time, I paid a lot of money to get tutorials and and joined classes to get to learn VBA but I never could and I started imagining that I can't do it until yesterday when I found your tutorial #21 and I thought i should give it a go and man I am really enjoying learning it. Now I know I can do it. It is just the teacher that makes difference.
    I am so thankful for you for delivering the lectures so nicely and easy to understand and WiseOwl for making this wonderful course available for free.

    I will really look through every video you've uploaded eventually, as this is a gold mine! I have been using VBA and makro for long, and many many buttons in workbooks, but I did NOT know about the Alt key helping to size the buttons to the grid! That's exactly what I needed! Love your content, much appreciate you sharing so much knowledge in a perfect way!

    Great videos. One problem I have though is with the QAT for excel 2007. When I add a macro from one workbook it shows up in the QAT in all excel workbooks. As I have many macros I would rather restrict them to an individual workbook, but that doesn't seem to be possible.

    Hi, so I've been trying to manipulate some buttons on form I've created and its driving me mad. I want a button to move, in this case up and down, with the height of a label that has text in it. If i give absolute numbers to .top, .left then the button goes exactly where it should. But when i do this in relation to the height of the label the button is nowhere. It goes all over the place. Other buttons on the form work fine.
    I don't know what i am missing now. The fun is eluding me slightly. Any help appreciated.

    Thank you for making these videos - really useful! I was wondering if you could answer a question. Is it possible to modify the keyboard shortcuts for custom tabs? Eg if I make a custom tab called 'macros' and create groups within that tab and populate it with various macros. Can I set the tab shortcut to, let's say, alt-c (the macro-tab I created were set to alt-y1 as default), and then set sub shortcuts for macros within that tab? eg alt-c-1, alt-c-2, alt-c-3 for macros 1, 2, 3, etc. similar to the shortcut structure in the other tabs. Thanks!

    Hi, very informative videos. I have a question regarding a finished project. I have created an icon on my quick access toolbar linking to my VBA source, and the program runs well on my computers Excel program. How do i easily transfer this program in one file via email/local network in such a way that multiple other users can simply download this file, customize their quick access toolbar to include my code, and execute my program which will now be permanently featured in the quick access toolbar of my clients Excel?

    Hi, I love these videos, so far they are very easy to follow and informative! However I have a problem; I have created a simple macro and it works just fine using either the F5 key or by running it in excel via clicking the Macro button. The problem is I have assigned the macro to a 'picture' I brought into the worksheet. When I click the picture I get the error ' The macro may not be available in this workbook or all macros may be disabled" . I have fully enabled the macro in the macro security settings so im a bit stumped. Im using Excel 2007 and windows 8. Thanks!

    • @cenatioj

      Looks like you did not assign the macro to the picture. The macro in this case is CreateAndLabelNewSheet, make sure you are assigning correct macro.

    Just one question on customising ribbons - if I customise my ribbon for a specific sheet and email that workbook to someone else, will they be able to use the same customised ribbon tabs for the macros I created on their PC?
    Would your answer be correct only for one version of Xcel or between different versions? (e.g. I email my workbook 2013 to a user with 2010 or 2007 Xcel.
    Look forward to hearing from you,
    Kind Regards

      @@WiseOwlTutorials HI dear Good Tutor! thanks a lot for the awesome video, but I wonder if there isn't any automatic way to insert the created VBA code to be run without having the workbook containing the code opened, as other built in toolbars do? It seems to take much time to open the said workbook always.

    Ribbon buttons don't work for macro execution. The user has his own ribbon his application. You can share your ribbon with him but unfortunately the links will not work because it's looking for a literal file that does not exist as such in the user's computer

    • @dukestt
      @dukestt 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Thanks but i got it working.
      Just in case you're interested here is the code.
      btnTestYourLuck.Left = LblPages.Left + LblPages.width / 2 - btnTestYourLuck.width / 2
      btnTestYourLuck.Top = LblPages.Top + LblPages.Height + btnTestYourLuck.Height + buttonSpace
      LuckLabel.Left = btnTestYourLuck.Left
      LuckLabel.Top = btnTestYourLuck.Top + LuckLabel.Height + buttonSpace
      So this moves a button up and down as the height of a label changes. It also moves another label up and down too. Since i dont know how big the label will be (from 20 characters to over 300) giving absolute references wasnt going to work. Thanks anyway.
      I do have another problem if you have the time.

    • @dukestt
      @dukestt 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** I have a Timer on a sheet. It increments 1 second at a time as you would expect. The problem is this, I want to show the timer on a form, the same one with the buttons, and so I refer to the cell that the timer is in on the sheet:
      UserForm1.Label23.Caption = Format(Sheet10.Range("E1").value, "h:mm:ss")
      When the form loads it recognizes the reference but will not increment in seconds. I had thought that there must be a .refresh method but cannot figure it out. Any ideas.
