  • I recently had the opportunity to connect with Matt from Canoe and Dog Explorers (link below) and paddle the Rocky River in Newfoundland. We had such a great day for it; the water was high, and the weather was fantastic! Join us as we paddle 20km down the river, catching a few rapids along the way and trying our luck salmon fishing. The dogs came along and had a great time as well! Be sure to checkout Matt's channel and subscribe to us both so you don't miss lots of great upcoming content!

Cool outing guys. Met Canoe and Dog a while ago, great guy. Love the video buddy, looks like a nice paddle.

    Sick!
I used to go swimming by those falls as a kid. Almost died once I think.
Also do you edit these rides down a lot / is there a unedited supercut of long takes down the river?

I unfortunately don't have a coherent full length cut. That may be something perhaps I'll consider putting together over the winter though when it's harder to get out and adventure.

Thanks for making this and sharing your adventure. I would like to try this on a packraft sometime. What time of year did you shoot this with the high water levels? Was there any sharp rocks that could puncture a packraft?

@@MPJRB10 We did this in June this year just a couple days after a LOT of rain. At one point t the river metre was reading 140m/s3! I’d want a good bit of water doing this in a pack raft. I’m sure it can be done though in high water.
