    I preordered (for the first time ever) the P7 Pro and very excited to try it out soon! One thing I wish Google would copy from Apple is the ability to save the camera profiles. Like on the iPhone if you don't like the white balance or the highlights you can customize it and the next time you open the camera it would load that setting. I wish Pixel did something like that, cuz I would love to not have to tinker my images to my preference every single time I take a photo. Thanks for the quick review Mark! Been watching you since 2019!

    2:00 it is because of some objects which are affecting this spot of frame: first of all, it is a girl in the frame with dark dress, so iPhone tried to bright it. Another object, is a leaf of a tree that raised up (probably by the wind) and dazzle the camera at this specific moment. Also its look like you are not using stative for taking stable picture from the same point, picture was taking from different angle.

    Can’t wait for my Pixel 7 to come today. I also have a 14 Pro Max. I think they both do well. iPhones need to work on highlights and hdr. When they work, they work great, but when they miss they miss bad, it’s not consistent. I think both are doing amazing though. As far as zoom, I think any zoom on a phone is a joke. I haven’t seen one phone have a zoom lens produce photos I’d actually want to use.

  • @harveydw
    @harveydw 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Picture comparison at 7:34 is a bit weird because the iphone is probably zooming in on the 3x lens and the Pixel is still using digital zoom on the 1x lens (not zoomed enough to switch to the 5x)

    16:34 during the whole front facing video recording it seems that the pixel focuses on the background not your face. I’ve heard of this issue from some other TH-camrs as well, I hope it’s a software and not hardware problem cause it’s pretty major.
    11:12 same problem. It’s not that the photo itself isn’t sharp, it’s that the focus is much further than it should be. The background is perfectly crisp, your face is not (this sounds mean lol, I mean the photo isn’t crisp not you).

    They are both absolutely brilliant phones with awesome cameras but the deciding factor for me was the price. You can almost buy two Pixels for the price of one iPhone. For some people (especially those that are deep into the Apple ecosystem) it might be worth it, but I cannot justify that for myself.

  • @videomaniac108
    @videomaniac108 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    One consistent difference that I've seen in the low-light performance of the iPhone in various reviews is the apparent lower dynamic range of the camera. Typically, a light in a night shot will wash away a lot of the image detail in the surrounding area. The Pixel camera usually preserves a better image when a side by side comparison is made under these conditions. The Apple phone also seems to be underexposed in comparison to the Pixel phone in very low light level shots.

  • @ulikemyname6744
    @ulikemyname6744 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    it was pretty funny because in some of the photos that you said the Pixel had more details and zoomed in the iPhone was actually sharper everywhere else besides the one thing you showed where the pixel was better. For example at 2.03 the iPhone has significantly better details than the Pixel. Like it wasn't even a comparison the Pixel is smooth and lost most of the details in the front pumpkin and the right one in the back ground is not even in focus where on the iPhone is so sharp and detailed yet you showed how the iPhone have blown out the highlights in the very far background and it wasn't even that bad considering the whole photo? Like wtf? The exact same goes for the picture at 2:17 the iPhone had significantly more details in the photo everywhere else except for the shadow areas. I caught some other biases against the iPhone and I'm not even an iPhone user. The point is the iPhone camera was clearly better in this video for most shots no matter if they were video or daylight photos but you remained bias for most pictures. There was even a comedy comment where you said that you like contrasty photos yet you dislike the iPhone for having more contrasty look?

  • @Alfredul03
    @Alfredul03 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    What I have observed in both results of the cameras of the two phones, is that on the iPhone the HDR is greatly exaggerated in the processing and that already makes it less attractive, while on the Pixel 7 Pro the result is great and sober, where the result stands out over the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The only problem I see with the Pixel 7 Pro camera is that it does not manage the sun's rays very well, where these detract from the photo and alter the colors of the photo. IMHO!

  • @bardknight
    @bardknight 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I haven't had a chance to try the camera on my 7 Pro as much as I would like, but I'm super impressed with the clarity of zoomed shots. It's really the only reason why I went for the Pro instead of the regular 7 and I think I don't regret it. The phone itself is surprisingly smooth. After using Samsungs for so long, it's impressive how good Pixels are.

    Good day. Please help with the choice. At the moment I have 1+3t. Samsung and Pixel are not liked because they have a large Pulse Width Modulation.
    1+11, the price, the screen, the sound is great, but its camera is not very good.
    Huawei P60 is a great smartphone, but at the moment it is very expensive even for 13 max and C23 ultra. The iPhone 13 pro or 13 max remains, but I saw from my sister and brother that they have a terrible dynamic range.

    Why did you prefer iPhone videos? The only video that was slightly better was the night time one, in which bothe did kinda bad.

      True. I think the mentality of iphone hasn't changed for people no matter how impressive another phones is compared to the iphone. In my opinion, I will score the pixel 95% overall and 90% overall for the iphone

    The truth is clear the pixel is the master of photography even in video the pixel outclassed the iphone.i mean watch the video stabilization the pixel looks more realistic......... Google Pixel has finally surpassed Apple's Iphone.....the mic has been dropped.

    Pixel more detail, more noise. Don’t like the over sharpening on Pixel.
