It sounds like this season we get a lot more less overplayed songs! In the last 5 seasons they kept repeating the same songs and gave contestants Shawn Mendas Billie Eilish etc.
i cant get enough of blake he is just so funny, and not to mention he's the glue that brings life to the entertainment side of the judges POV. Honestly i do like hearing new singers audition, im mainly her for blake's commentary since season 1.
He has a cool tone and I love the rasp in his voice. This is one of my favorite songs of all times and he emoted to it beautifully. Epic beard as well!
This song brought back memories of driving from Adelaide to Armidale in NSW as a kid with my dad back in 1981-82-83. We would play the country winners collection on the cassette in the car and this song was one of my favourites. I thank my dad for bringing country into my life at such an early age and it is great to see that Alex did this song his way but gave it justice at the same time.

As an Englishman & a country fan its great to see this guy on the voice USA, ofc as ppl have pointed out Country is alive & well in the UK but sadly for some reason they don't ever tryout (as far as i can remember) for the UK talent shows The Voice UK or BGT
