Seems creative to use Ai to play off of like this, and you show some good examples, but there are still problems that is very hard to see through. The first is that this can contribute to isolate writers and musicians even more, and we already have a massive mental health problem due to social isolation in home studios. The second problem is when you start feeding original ideas into AI like this, the tech can re-use it to generate ideas for other users. This means that AI is basically a copy machine, that will take your original data and feed it to others, even before you have published your own production. That could lead to issues with the copyright, even if the idea was originally yours, if you hesitate with the finishing process.

"Sometimes hearing the thing that you don't want the song to become makes it very clear where the song needs to go" Totally agree with you. With music, art, writing or anything that A.I. can now generate, we humans are still the filter of quality. Great vid.
Great video and I totally agree about how it can help writers block. The next step is to have AI improve their lyrics. They really need a feature where you can ask it to write different rhyme schemes....I really am starting to dread the random lyrics. They always sound like junior high poetry. They need to offer different rhyme schemes or input how many syllables per line so you can have short lines and inner rhymes and other choices. Also provide different styles. I know they cant say write in the style of Bob Dylan or Eminem but at least have some options. Other than that....this is really really good!
as an vocalist , these tools give me ideas on the melody even flow of song, so i dont hate on it but as early it is now my ideas cant be implemented as of yet i would love to see suno as an plugin for set daw.
Had the same feelings you did. I’m not using to make my songs but exactly this, pry me from the phoney sense of writers block. Curious what they come up with next
I’m still not sure what to think about generative AI, but it really could become a good composer assistant. At first I was very skeptical, I never even use presets in a VST, let alone have someone write the music for me. But having overcome my obstacle, I think it can help a lot in finding ideas. But one thing is for sure, back in the day the most beautiful music in the world was created only with pencil and paper.
@@SantaMonica_BLVD You already can separate the vocals from audio with tools like VocalRemover and run them through RVC model of your choice. It's not very convenient, but it's something you already can do and it gives pretty decent results. I have a couple examples on my channel, so feel free to look around. ( 'w')
I'd definitely watch more videos of you showing some of your project ideas though it and hearing what comes out... maybe throw in some instrumental only tracks, too
I got some really nice results with Suno. Some things sound off, but I am still impressed. Some of the generated songs probably deserve that someone actually record them without mentioned issues
What can also be a bit frustrating is when Suno gives you an amazing idea but then you don't know how to implement that idea. This happened to one of my songs. I sort spliced them together by separating and cleaning up the STEMs, adding them to my mix. Would be cool if Suno had an option to output the stem files, and improve quality overall (artifacts).
I always wonder - who's going to listen to ALL THIS MUSIC that is 'created' all around the world just with entering a prompt and pressing enter (and to any other music by other people at all) in the near future ?! To use Suno to help with writer's block and come up with new ideas to make or finish some songs - ok. But to do what with? To upload it somewhere in the hope someone else will listen to it?!? I think in the end you will be left to 'produce' your music only for yourself. Because everybody else is busy listening to their own 'generated' music, or their personal realtime-music stream, that is generated on the fly according to their preferences. As a lifelong music creator, who loves to 'share' his music - this vision really brings me down.
Just like with any new technology some people will like it and some people will hate it. Nuclear energy can be used for good or evil for example. I think it is a good tool for songwriters and producers. I like it.
When writing lyrics in Suno Ai, how can we direct the vocal sound by placing periods, commas or other punctuation marks?..When writing lyrics in Suno Ai, how should we use punctuation marks?
Very interesting points! and very brave of you to take the optimistic point of view in all of this😁 really impressive from Suno, building the song as you said. and I noticed the voice, tho AI sounding and too poppy, again like you said, had really good phrasing sometimes landing on the beat sometimes just before which is just a small thing but very humanizing. How does it know to do this?😳
I disagree. Yes, ideas are hard to come by, but that doesn't mean the music business is dead. Heck, this might actually make it come alive again because sometimes even artists have writers block, do they not? I've used suno myself and, though i'm no famous artist, i find it rather enjoyable even if the interface has lost accessability for the visually impaired people a little bit. 5:18
I got mixed feelings about this but with that being said this is like having access to songwriters in your home. Another thing is that it is going to be hard to "compete" with other producers that use these kind of tools if U don't. U will probably come up with better vocals and melodies but it takes so long. Im a father of three and most of the time I dont really have time to make more than "ideas" late at night and to write and record vocals is almost impossible for me time wise. Does this mean I shouldnt make music? On top of that I can still write and put my lyrics in there so it becomes more "me". I will give it a try! Thank u for this video!
I started off as angry, I was thinking, If you are a musician and you can't be creative enough then just don't. But you're point of ''it's like having another person in the room'' somewhat convinced me to try it out
I agree 100 percent with you. Yes, this Suno could create a great song with little input. If you feel good about that and want to run around and pretend you created it, that's lying, but your choice. I to have a bunch of ideas and guitar riffs that I want to create a song with. I don't have a band or want one, this is just a hobby for me, so I use suno and udio as assistants, like band members to bounce ideas off. I love the direction ai music is going amd I think it opens the door for many people that don't have an abundance of talent like a Prince or any successful writer. Whats the difference between anyone that sings songs they didn't write or a guitarist that doesnt sing. They used other writers, vocalist, and musicians to put everything together for them. If a guitarist plays his part and uses ai for inspiration to complete the other band members input, what's the difference? If a vocalist creates an instrumental and lyrics with ai amd sings over it, what's the difference. So Luke Bryan singing Chris Stapleton's song should be ridiculed? Ai is coming and yes it can be abused by the lazy, but if we define what lazy ai is in the beginning, we can all move forward and embrace new technology to create more greate music. Imagine of we get to the point where we can request our favorite past artist or band that broke up to create a new album for a time period. For example, artist and estates should seat selling their likeness and voices. I could then ask ai to create a Prince album that would be released right after purple rain, or sign of the times... imagine what it would create? Maybe it would suck, but what if some of the tracks were good or even great. You at least have something. We would need to just split the two credits and define it. Yes it's not Prince, but it's all we can get now, at it might be good, like listening to a good cover of one of his songs... again, use it as a tool and embrace it.dont steal the credit, cause eventually someone might tap you on the should and ask you to do it live or in front of them, or how did you do it? I'm ready to jump off my horse and climb in a car. We got past that argument, we'll get past this one too...
I completely agree with your assessment. I have snippets, blurbs, Half baked ideas every where and very many complete lyrics with no music, vocals or whatever. Now I feel like Bernie Taupin handing off to Elton John. (I will never be a Bernie) Suno truly blew my mind with the audio upload extend thing.
Popsickle toes was a hit, enough said regarding your first loop.😂 It's like a writing partner, I don't see the harm in that. They need to have separate stems and midi files so you can take what you like and chuck the rest. The bottom line is you still have to get the songs out there to get any return for investment in time and money.
The people in here screaming that using AI is lazy: I've learned more about song structure and and word rhythm from Suno than I have in my entire lifetime of writing. 🤷♀️ Don't use it for your projects if you don’t like how it comes out. You're actually still at an advantage by being able to compose completely from scratch. In the meantime, leave those of us excited to have something to put their lyrics to alone. Not all of us are surrounded by musicians.
So I'm signed up as pro membership and made a banger song. If I bring it to the studio and remake it similar and release it, I assume it's mine cause its made on pro from what they wrote on their website?
Its helped me in some of my projects as well, as I use Suno mostly as something like Training wheels, while using anvil studio and the like to work on writing songs. As far as lyrics go though, the more you work with the AI, the more you hear "AI-isims" with the word choices it does to the point that they've become a joke in the AI music community.
I would argue that this is more of a tastemaker machine than a talent machine. Definitely more like a pop producer than a bunch of session musicians. It's a long way from that.
I have a guess too. Probably something like Photshop is doing now that will add to your music whatever you ask it for and if you don’t have an idea it will propose something. Music already sounds very similar in some genres. So if producers rely too heavy on this service it will just sound even more similar. Therefore good times for the individualists who know what they’re doing. Or maybe not and we’ll have even more copycats. In the end you can’t teach people not to be mainstream. It’s a personal decision.
I have had so many lyric pieces and full sets come together as I now flesh out full songs and already have a full album of demos ready to go working on a second and I am exploring so far outside my musical wheel house of country and rock now and cant wait to get these songs into the studio amd fully flesh out from concept a fully story boarded piece. Movie producers story board film shots either on paper or digitally, this is that tool for musicians, AI is not perfect and fixes have to be made in timing and flow but when you hit the sweet spot you know, and you lock the shot in and move to the next. AI should only be used as a demoand real work done by artist. That said country songer Randy Travis lost his voice and from his library of work AI sang his latest release of songs he wrote. AI gives that voice to song writers who write incredible lyrics and this allows them to feel out their stuff as a demo to shop.
This is me all day. Tons of unfinished ideas that never became real songs. It can absolutely be abused and it will. But it can be used as a tool as well. A song that was heavily improved and made complete by a tool like this is always better than something I did all on my own that is doomed to remain unfinished and rot on my hard drive for my whole life.
How can I create a piece of music, digital, using samples, etc? I want to create the basis and polish in Suno, but it's hard to guide Suno, I tried to make original songs using tags to guide the flow, but Suno gets stuck with a lot of instructions, maybe if I upload the base Suno can help me achieve a better version. I'm not a professional musician, I just play with AI
Honestly! You are incredibly astute. The biggest reason people including myself have been afraid of using AI is 100% ego. Especially when it sounds better than something I made! The way you think is refreshing. I appreciate your review 🙌🏼 No offense to any humans, but if something was made with zeros and ones and can communicate with me as good or better than a regular human can… and then I turn around and curse its existence… that’s very sus.. Sounds like a reaction of someone that always prefers to work alone on projects, someone who can’t relinquish control. And funny enough, the most egotistical people I know are the ones who do not use AI. (Obviously people who simply haven’t learned about its existence yet doesn’t count)
I hate all about this. Why? 1. Millions of demos to labels = no attention to real artists who spend a lot of time and even money to get a final version of a track. 2. Losing a job = songwriters, singers, sound designers, ghost producers, producers. 3. To me, as a sound designer and producer who started making music 21 years ago, it’s just a punch in the face that there are some kids who have never spent an hour making music but can get a product in one click. 4. Humans can’t make music in one minute… check again #2. Yes, I HATE THIS!
Do you hate it just when people use ai for music? Do you get upset when music artists use chatgpt that borrows from people who have written articles and books? Is it just when it borrows from musicians?
@@lamebot7164 As I wrote earlier, this system will replace everyone if it can fully handle everything from start to finish for a person. If someone uses AI as a tool (for example: iZotope products) for working on a project, but they are aware of what they're doing and already understand the subject, I don't oppose it if it helps save time. But not when everything is done for you. And yes, in my case, I’m talking about music since I specialize in it. Writers should speak for themselves when it comes to writing books. Although personally, I understand that I will read books that were written before the creation of ChatGPT or by authors who write on their own.
According to their FAQ, Pro users can use any output created by Suno commercial and retain all the rights. That includes completely re-recording a song that Suno generated. It will definitely be interesting to see if AI-generated music will kind of end up in its own lane compared to real music.
You guys are naive this will replace real artists mark my words , at least as far as billboard is concerned there will always be underground music created by humans but as a label who wants to make money $30 per month to make 5-10 albums vs $300,000 per album per artist which do you think they will choose !?
@@thedaytonapodcast I disagree. People fall in love with the artists for the music first and then for the person second. Look at how obsessed people are with the life of Taylor Swift. It's what brings her songs to life and gets people so invested in them. People want someone to admire. Songs are just a flash in the pan. Even the best song ever created would slowly fade away into obscurity if there's nobody behind it.
@@thedaytonapodcast I can say this with 100% confidence after trying this out on my older unfinished tracks - at a minimum, this removed any need for a producer. And not the 'I make beats' producer, but the producer that will work with artists and guide them towards a hit track. I could take ten unfinished tracks (synth-based, vocals, guitar, drums - with a solid first verse and/or chorus melody) and recreate the extended ideas I'm getting from a handful of rolls from Suno and have a solid album from top to bottom. I've spent maybe 10 hours trying old material out since watching this video, and my noggin is blown. I'm not discouraged; I'm inspired. I also have realistic expectations that if I did release anything, my audience would be next to none - and that's ok, too.
@@LuxElliott I am with you, I have a few hundred “ideas” on my mac or my iphone stuff that I write-record because I would never remember it the next day. And trying to co-write with another musician or producer is not worth the hassle. Now we have a giant engine to at least show what’s possible! but my question remains can we copyright the track, the US copyright office rejects any artwork (music or lyrics) generated by AI in any form. Which means how would AI produced music become popular AND protected legally?
Yeah its scrazy how it takes the song apart, and then adds more using those instruments. But this is the end of music as we know it. Anyone is a talented artist now, and a year ago you couldnt do anything like this, in a year its a wrap
I would argue that the kinds of music that this thing cranks out haven't been recorded by terribly 'talented' musicians for quite some time. Tasteful maybe. Talented not really.
I wonder if my recordings of me humming a beat idea(melody idea)..could it generate a stable sample that I can usem If so, this would be groundbreaking! I could just make the drums at that point
Hi! Thanx for the video, i have a question , maybe you could help me with it. I if i want to record my own vocals with a song which i made with AI (Suno and others). I tried to take out the instrumentals with Ultimate Vocal Remover and other apps but i realised that the quality is not good, there are some gaps and stuff and it doesn't depend on the vocal remover app but the original instrumentals which AI generated.. What would you suggest?
i am a lyricist and if the writer's block is removed then how i can make beautiful songs ? sir i request you to tell team suno that please do not remove the writer's block.
I agree, AI can be a great tool. As an end unto itself, with entirely Ai created lyrics AND music... well, I don't see the point. But as a tool... Hell yeah.
Like anything else, people with a greed mindset will mine this for every penny with no qualms about about how it will affect the ecosystem. I'm with you in that I like the idea of having tools to help me move fwd but... I guess we can look forward to a hobbyist/performer market because the producer market is going to get it's handed to it at this rate 😅
A better thing to do is ask chat GPT for help writing a song, it will give you a bunch of suggestions for composition. and that way it's more still your own music.. i could never give suno my audio , they probably gonna use all of this for their database.
The extend option doesn't do much good if you already have a piece of your music, it just messes everything up, and the voices don't have good quality.

Had the same feelings you did. I’m not using to make my songs but exactly this, pry me from the phoney sense of writers block.
Curious what they come up with next
Yeah this is pretty crazy and the possibilities are endless.
Makes you wonder if there were people complaining that "it wasn't real music" if you had to write it down to remember it.
Suno is making changes and new updates rapidly, I don't think I can keep up. Great video, lovely voice.
Isn’t that because people keep on feeding it information uploading their songs. They practically train it to become better?
Now all we need are clean stems!! And bonus to the first company that provides AI mixing online - like Ozone!!
I'm hoping they add stems and also custom ai voice models would be cool
@@SantaMonica_BLVD You already can separate the vocals from audio with tools like VocalRemover and run them through RVC model of your choice. It's not very convenient, but it's something you already can do and it gives pretty decent results. I have a couple examples on my channel, so feel free to look around. ( 'w')
SUNO is a great new tool. It will give you a backbone of an original song but still needs a talent to make it great.
Every week I’m blown away more and more!
Also worth noting that customers are paying to help train and extend the companies ai models. OG level smart
Vary well explained, soon it would get pro level
if anybodyt thinks this is cheating then they simply dont understand how music works and how collaboration works
Thanks!
What is it that you understand about music that others don't?
@@MycketTuff the way music works
I'd definitely watch more videos of you showing some of your project ideas though it and hearing what comes out... maybe throw in some instrumental only tracks, too
I got some really nice results with Suno. Some things sound off, but I am still impressed. Some of the generated songs probably deserve that someone actually record them without mentioned issues
Suno ai is like a text book for students of learning and easy way out for music lovers
No it’s plagiarism machine
Students learn and give back, when you go through school, you learn, you gain and one way or the other give back
To each, his own.
Yes, it allows you to find a quick arrangement. But it's YOUR lyrics that matter most.
I love Suno, I use it for the majority of the music on my channel.
Cool Video! For me its a lovehate relationship. As an artist I hate it but as a creative person I love it....Happy colored greetinx
I can totally relate. To deny that it’s fun to play with would be lying, but there is a part of me that feels dirty when messing with AI, haha.
Just like with any new technology some people will like it and some people will hate it. Nuclear energy can be used for good or evil for example. I think it is a good tool for songwriters and producers. I like it.
I hope they add a feature where you can generate songs feat your own voice models
When writing lyrics in Suno Ai, how can we direct the vocal sound by placing periods, commas or other punctuation marks?..When writing lyrics in Suno Ai, how should we use punctuation marks?
have you tried udio's version yet?
Very interesting points! and very brave of you to take the optimistic point of view in all of this😁
really impressive from Suno, building the song as you said. and I noticed the voice, tho AI sounding and too poppy, again like you said, had really good phrasing sometimes landing on the beat sometimes just before which is just a small thing but very humanizing.
But you're point of ''it's like having another person in the room'' somewhat convinced me to try it out
I love your fair-minded assessment.
Sounds promising.
Just keep us posted if your computer turns to the dark side.
(I will never be a Bernie)
Suno truly blew my mind with the audio upload extend thing.
It’s honestly about time I find someone who doesn’t think that this ai is gonna somehow rule the world lol
Suno still has a lot to learn, you can't just add a drum, or any instrument without destroying the music.
This is just the same as spending 500 usd on a collab with a vocalist.
suno is really good today
Can i upload a song to youtube that created bye suno ai ?
Yes, you can upload it, but you can't monetize it
@DJEndre-n3b even i payed for suno ai in month ? I subscribe in ?
@@SongsLyrics-gu3lv If you use the paid version, you can monetize yor songs
Suno DAW? Perhaps one day? I still want more editing.
If you can't copyright the music you create or the info you enter how will musicians support themselves?
I have a guess too. Probably something like Photshop is doing now that will add to your music whatever you ask it for and if you don’t have an idea it will propose something.
Music already sounds very similar in some genres. So if producers rely too heavy on this service it will just sound even more similar. Therefore good times for the individualists who know what they’re doing. Or maybe not and we’ll have even more copycats. In the end you can’t teach people not to be mainstream. It’s a personal decision.
I think you nailed it, some will copy but I do see it as a challenge and sometimes a melody is the hardest part so yeah
But now I'm curious if there is also a button with which you can record audio, what is this for?
A song that was heavily improved and made complete by a tool like this is always better than something I did all on my own that is doomed to remain unfinished and rot on my hard drive for my whole life.
this is a game changer!! no writers block anymore..😀
This will be such a creative boost.
I appreciate your review 🙌🏼
No offense to any humans, but if something was made with zeros and ones and can communicate with me as good or better than a regular human can… and then I turn around and curse its existence… that’s very sus..
Sounds like a reaction of someone that always prefers to work alone on projects, someone who can’t relinquish control. And funny enough, the most egotistical people I know are the ones who do not use AI.
(Obviously people who simply haven’t learned about its existence yet doesn’t count)
Appreciate ya
Great video, lots of interesting insights
That's actually really impressive.
can a person copyright the output is the question. I think we need AI Music Charts
Good on you man! (In the end, it's just another tool)
Everything else is fine. Tell me about the hair products and routine!
Just used it...insanity. Yep, it will help you sound out your song ideas....and force you also to cut ideas away to find the songs essence.
i am a lyricist and if the writer's block is removed then how i can make beautiful songs ? sir i request you to tell team suno that please do not remove the writer's block.
Is it possible to upload my own song and have Suno change the bass line? Or drums or whatever.
nope
@@axelmaldini4218 Thank you.
I guess we can look forward to a hobbyist/performer market because the producer market is going to get it's handed to it at this rate 😅
its ''transitions'' heaven lol

All True Bro!
Sounds like you just created Toro Y Moi's next hit. :)
