    First time replacing a battery on any of my laptops. These instructions worked great - concise and to the point within a 20 minute time-frame. ✅

    Overall, this is great, really useful. Thanks! Two things though: The speaker sockets are INCREDIBLY fragile on the main board and both of mine pulled out of the board, breaking the solder, instead of separating correctly. I saw someone else in the comments had the same problem. I'd suggest some revision of the instructions to remove these. Secondly, I wish the lighting was better in one or two parts of the video but this is a nit-pick.

      @@poweredbyowc thank you for replying. Can we make the battery stop charging once it's fully charged? Would it be good practice for battery life span? Can we do that?

    • @poweredbyowc
      @poweredbyowc  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, once the battery is fully charged, it'll automatically stop charging. The best practice to prolong the batteries health over time is to do battery conditioning:
      1. Disconnect your charger from your Mac and use it until 10% or less.
      2. Perform another fresh charge to the battery without use.
      3. Repeat steps 1-2 four to five times.
      4. **Once a month perform steps 2-3.
      We hope this helps!

    Tell me please how much time takes for charge to fully to this Mackbook 2019, and how much is work time, i have right now 15 inch, battery capasity is 76 %, this is my first macbook not new, when i do something lite , battery drains quickly, not to mention heavy use.

    • @poweredbyowc
      @poweredbyowc  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Some chargers have an indicator light on the end of the charging cable that will turn amber when charging. If yours does not have this we recommend waiting an hour or two and then checking to see if the computer will turn on.

  • @ChrisLeiter
    @ChrisLeiter 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    'Member the days of three tri-wing screws and no adhesive to get a battery out? I hope whoever decided that the cables needed to go under the logic board has been shit-canned for gross incompetence. Also, 2 adhesive straps per cell would've been more than sufficient. Didn't even bother with the pull strip adhesives like in iphones.. I'm about to do one of these batteries in a couple days for a client, really looking forward to it lol.

    Hi, thank you so much for the instructions. Unfortunately after installing the new battery, my Macbook is not detecting it. It is only working when plugged in. Is there any workarounds? Thanks in advance.

    • @poweredbyowc
      @poweredbyowc  ปีที่แล้ว

      Here are a couple of things to try. If these don't work then please feel free to reach out to our support team and they will be more than happy to help!
      The first would be to keep the charger for about 12 hours straight to see if that does anything if not then try the next. step
      SMC reset:
      1. Shut down the computer.
      2. Plug in the power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
      3. On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
      4. Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
      5. Press the power button to turn on the computer.
      If that doesn't work then try to re-seat the battery in case for some reason it's not fully connected

      Reconnecting ribbon cables can be a bit challenging at times. When reattaching the ribbon cable, aim to apply gentle, even pressure along its end to ensure proper alignment with the socket. I hope this helps.

      @@poweredbyowc Right. Doesn’t the battery have to fit specific chassis though? Like when trying to buy a replacement battery the most important thing is the chassis… It would appear that the mid 2018-2019 15inch MacBook Pro is the A1990. Also, the Axxxx code is the model number.
