Satyanarayana is also lord Vishnu. The prasad for Satyanarayana Puja is Sheera same in all counts except additionally banana is added....and look at the unison in prasad...the name is jeera but same receipe...sheer is jeera

We usually call it Kesari since we add kesar for colour
Sri Rangam temple follows only "Hindi" Sheera rather than "Tamil" Kesari
Kesar is also a sanskrit word. Kesar is kungumaa poo in Tamil. Kashmir is famous for kesar Or kungumaa poo
