    Actually the Saleucami trooper that looks like another galactic marine at the end there is actually a fully realized design, it was featured in one of the Star Wars Republic Comics, I can’t remember what issue, but I know I saw them in the comic, which is cool

      Yeah they appear in Issue 74
      They even lack the Kamas just like the Concept Art
      Commander Faie also appears with his "caped Engineer" Armor for a single panel in that same Issue

    The Neyo helmet with a visor is actually a skin in Battlefont 2. Pretty cool how they added different type of armours in the game

    It's such a missed opportunity to not see the V-Wing Pilot in the latest episode of the Bad Batch. In fact, it's the first time we get to see the V-Wing starfighter in action.

    One funny thing I learned after watching this video was the mystery clone (the one with the commander Cody markings which had a figure that got cancelled) also featured in the clone wars featurette called creating kamino. It’s shown on screen when Dave Filoni discusses the “type 3” armor (referring to phase 2, I guess internally it’s referred to as type 3 as in episode 3, same naming scheme it’s used for phase 1, they call it type 2). If only more people watched those behind the scenes videos, maybe that design would’ve become more well known to the general public.
    (Edit: a day after writing this I remembered I wrote a similar comment to this on the video focused on that trooper. I made that comment a few months ago so I had forgotten about it. I was thinking about deleting this one since it’s somewhat redundant but I’ve decided against it).

    Really makes me feel nostalgic. The revenge of the sith era was really when i was first old enough for toys with small parts and could remember things accurately. I was 5 when it came out so in the years following shortly after i had all the clone designs i could find. First i ever had was an attatix at rt and then the at te gunner clone. Over time my army grew.
    The vision of these monolithic, tough, militaristic soldiers with all this conceptual tactical gear really makes me wonder how different the clones would have been if the film had explored them further. So many unused concepts. The clones we know and love now are conceptually very different as people compared to the hardened and stoic clones from the prequels. I want to delve into the rots concept archives so badly to see all the clone art. I wish we had a a 6 hour cut with all of the battles explored as well, but a guy can dream. So many cool designs.
    Anyways great video man! Will definitely save this for inspiration later! Thanks!

    Wack was probably meant to lead a patrol with AT-RTs to search for surviving jedi, with the hologram being to contact a superior, my guess is that he would've been on Kashyyyk in the scene with AT-RTs searching for Yoda. intresting that he has what appears to be a jetpack or jump pack on him.

    10:59 might actually be designed to look like sun yellowing, as the more damaged one has more yellowing.

    • @RustbeltCollector
      @RustbeltCollector  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It could be, but the yellow changes from clone to clone. So that's why I wasn't sure if it was weathering or pattern

    • @truesonsofmandalore

      It would be funny to think that a guy accidentally left his 2003 p1 figure in the sun and was like EUREKA, A NEW CONCEPT DESIGN. Imagine that had made it into the film? People would be purposely yellowing clone figs like look i weathered him 😂😂😂😂

    i can confirm that the purple/blue color variant of Commander Neyo is in the comic of episode 3 ….. ! also i think that the dude who made the comic with commander Keller based the poncho design and the white galactic marine design on this concept art of commander faie and the marine

      @@cold3341 always. However, if they used any of these concept clones, we likely wouldn’t have gotten some other design from the CW. However, Fordo and Keller would have been awesome!! I think that Grey and Howzer needed unit colors as well. All their troopers were just white.

    Bly was originally supposed to be red and Deviss is his remains of the concept design, also Bly got an attackix figure using red marks and is labeled as Bly. Also we got a LEGO minifigure of the phase 2 AT-TE gunner trooper in the 2017 fighter tank set.

    Also I have a theory about Utapau trooper designs, the dark blue AOTC inspired design with dark blue stripes an plain helmet was first, George Lucas wanted the clones to be unique so the pinkish brown Cody like clone was made. Then that design got axed through development and we ended up with the 442nd siege design, for some reason the design got changed to orange and we ended up with the 212th attack battalion! Also that would explain Cody’s design being the remains of the pinkish brown Utapau trooper design on the body.

    • @Rogue_Nine416
      @Rogue_Nine416 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      my personal theory for the 442nd and 212th having the same markings in universe is that they're both separate units but both fall under the 7th sky corps and perhaps the markings are unique to the 7th sky corps and not the respective battalions, only the colors change

    The original Lego Star Wars video game actually has this weird thing where if you try to spawn the green clone on kashyyyk it shows up blue, many people assume it was a bug but Lego probably got early concept art of the 501st and 91st on Kashyyyk and later changed the markings to green in the menu and for the actual set they came in. Also explains the 91st clone in the AT-RT set

    Hi! I dont know if you'll see this but the Galactic Marines without the Kamas actually appear in Issue 74 of the 2005 "Republic" Comics
    Commander Faie also appears for a single panel wearing his "caped Engineer" Armor in that same Issue
    Also I'm not sure if you noticed but the two "Commander Gree"s/"Jet Trooper"s are slightly different
    The one from 8:01 is 501st Blue while the one from 11:23 is Green
    Also at 11:23 I think that red one is a K Company(Deviss's Unit) Trooper
    And the Black Galactic Marine(Also from 11:23 got released in the "Miniatures" Line as "Elite Clone Trooper"
