Can’t wait to hear what you think of Strange Sally Diamond! If you like it her other books are great- Unraveling Oliver and Lying in Wait are fantastic. Very unique, very dark
I have almost exactly similar tastes as u! Except not a manga reader.....yet! I really enjoyed this haul and much of the books u showed us I am also interested in and some are out of my comfort zone as well. Can't wait to hear ur thoughts on all of them!
@@amandalavery6282 I would suggest Junji Ito as a start! His stuff is great and most people, even people who don’t read manga, end up enjoying his work. He has longer works like Uzumaki or short story collections like Shiver and Fragments of Horror! His stuff is very odd and bizarre and the artwork is incredible!
I really enjoyed Midnight on Beacon Street. It reminded me of when I used to babysit back in the early 80's. It's a debut novel. Give the author a break. 🤗
I don’t think anyone is being mean! Unfortunately, it sounds like the book is suffering from being mismarketed. I think people are upset about that and it’s definitely something that needs to be brought up if it is! It’ll hurt the author in the long run. It has little to do with the author and more to do with publishing.
Isolation anthology was personally very hit or miss for me as some stories went very sci-fi ish type of route but ones that were good, they were good. Night Film is definitely a chonker to get through but worth it in my opinion :)
I’m not big on science fiction either, but I absolutely loved Foe. Iain Reed is a must read for me.
His writing is super easy to get into!
Ah what an incredible haul you got so many great books 📚 and Happy belated birthday 🎂 🥳 I hope you enjoy all these reads!
Thank you so much!! 🫶🏻🖤🖤
I am also looking forward to We Used to Live Here. I am also looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Murder Road. I also just read that one.
I hope it’s a good one!
I absolutely loved FOE x I hope you enjoy it x
I hope I do too!
Great big book haul 📚☕
I read The Haunting of Velkwood recently and gave it 5 stars! 😊 Also Strange Sally Diamond is incredible!!!
Oooh very excited then! 🤩
Plenty on your shelves to keep you busy there. Best wishes with what you choose to read. I hope you get some great reads.
Happy birthday, Erin! Wish you all the best (and a lot of 5 star reads!)
Thank you so so much! 🫶🏻🖤

Definitely interested in picking up her other books too!

Ooh I love finding people with similar taste! I hope you give manga a try, there are so many good horror and thriller ones out there.
@@ErinMegan for someone who is very apprehensive about manga but has same tastes as u - what do u think would be a good "starter" manga?

Thank you! 🖤
Happy Birthday Erin! 🎂
Thank you!!
Excellent haul - I’m taking notes 😃 Thank you so much for including Mina! I hope you enjoy it.
Haha thank you Amy! Thanks for sending Mina my way! 🖤
omg I LOVE Night Film ! I read it in 4 days. One of my all time favorite books.
Omg, I need to bump it up my tbr then!
I agree--Japanese horror is AWESOME. I've really enjoyed the vast majority of it that I've read.
Me too!! I find it to always hit exactly the way I want it to hit. Same with horror movies, they’re always so good!
I’m dying to read Diavola.
The cover is amazing!
I just started where sleeping girls lie I am loving it
Yay! I’ve heard great things!
I loved Revenge, the stories are all connected in some way. It’s horror but defo of the more subtle kind. I hope you all love it! ❤
Oooh, I’m hoping it reads like Goth by Otsuichi did for me!
That’s Not My Name is a good one. Looking forward to your thoughts
I’m so glad to hear someone enjoyed it! I can’t wait to read it!

Girl I have a personal recommendation for you: Gannibal the Manga series. I’m only on Vol.4 but I really think you gonna love it!!
I almost got this!!! Okay, adding it to my tbr officially now!
@@ErinMegan I finished 10 volumes now and I really like it!

Ooooh sci-fi, not my fave. 😬 I’ll have to just give it a go I guess haha. Night Film sounds like I’ll like it!
📚
Don’t go into Midnight on Beacon Street looking for a thriller. It’s mostly general fiction with a pinch of mystery
Yeah I’ve heard it’s more litfic than anything else!
Please would you include FOE in a vlog, Thankyou x
Oooo I hope you love Clytemnestra! Great strong feminist vibes 💪🏻
Sounds right up my alley! 😍
Any Man was really something but I don’t remember it being that hard to read
Definitely depends! I don’t really like books that involve SA in any capacity, so we’ll see how it goes!
