Ha I remember that, I watched that episode of my corvette life. Wish he would have had the time to finish that Callaway. Another great tip on making those original parts look fresh and new. Ha and there is the hose I asked about too

Me too, I wanted him to finish it. But I was talking to a Callaway owner, I remember him saying he knows who the new owner is. It wouldn't be their first Callaway either, and I think it's being restored even further.

@@VetteWerks Oh that’s awesome. Would be fun to watch that process.

@efstorms Yes, but unfortunately, if I remember, I don't think my friend had their contact like Insta or Facebook (new owner) I mean, unless I ask him to try and get it, but nah 😅 he's in the Callaway circle.

Instead of electric pump has anyone been able to find a sleeve for the water pump shaft like what is being used for the harmonic balancer. Electric concerns me because when it goes it doesn't give you a warning like the weep hole in the factory pump

@ryanreed6808 The Meziere HD pump is rated for about 10k more miles, so it can outlast the stock pump. And when it goes, we can simply monitor the temps. I know that I, like many other owners, are always monitoring the cars vitals like a hawk.
There is no leaking on the shaft area for the water pump. Where it can leak is from the mating surfaces of the waterpump housing itself onto the block. It can also commonly leak through the bolts.. so we need to make sure that it is well sealed with it's gaskets when mounting the waterpump housing, and that the bolts also get some thread sealant to prevent a possible leak. Some '95-'96 get a leak from the pump housing at times, but I find that those vented Optisparks cans till run for a long while.. tenfold the 92-94 opti's.
