Zane Grey, Henry Hathaway and Randolph Scott - can’t go wrong. Good film, especially for its time, especially the buffalo and snow scenes. Thanks Pizza!
Very few Westerns made till date deal with the free buffalo migration and hunting days. This movie does this and does it rather well with thundering buffalo herds and very close look at buffalo hunters' camps and outfits. This is a chapter of American history that has few pages with buffalos being the doomed heroes of the American prairies whose place were soon taken by cattle from Texas and Mexico. Hooray for the simple but well-made Western.

The killing of the buffalo (bison) was to eliminate one of the main food sources of the plains Indians and the full use of the rest of the buffalo for their lifestyle. The taking of the hides was to cover up the true reason for the killing of the buffalo. Easterners and Europeans found the hides useful for coats and other things.
The Indians were here for many years before anyone else..they were drivin out..then came the black man..now he has taken over...and still thinks the civil war is holding them down lol..if Lincoln wouldn't have been killed he was in the process of shipping all blacks back where they came from..for free!...dam John wilkes booth sorry ass!!
Slaughtering the Buffalo, Slaughtering the Buffalo, Slaughtering the Buffalo, makes me sick. All those steaks rotting for nothing, a $2-3 dollar hide. We should be ashamed, shame on Randy, shame on Harry too.
Yeah typical, white man comes and only takes what he wanted, left the rest to rot. The Native American used everything, and only took what he needed, big difference between need and want.

🌵 🐎One of the best Westerns ever made! 🌩 Thank you for posting this! ❤
I'm here for Randy..love his accent! And I adore Buster as Billy Carson in his westerns with Fuzzy, loved his laugh.

entertaining movie, thank you for sharing.
Originally released as “The Thundering Herd”. Love this classic!
Randolph Scott looks like Errol Flynn with the mustache.
No doubt intentional by the studio.
Love Zane greys books, read every one.

this movie is when horsepower was a thing to come
Awesome. Lot of story in one hour.
Very modern ring to this very early western.....mostly due to the guiding reins of Henry Hathaway.
And mr Scott

This early bit is something they couldn't even come close to making anymore
Classic western from the early years. A good "oater."
They played a mean husband and wife in lots of movies.😆 I wonder how their relationship was in real life.
Was looking for a very young Noah Beery, but it’s Sr not Jr. Very alike each other...
Yes, and they are very unalike too. 🤣
Buff pealers must've had a very strong smell about them..
Looks like majority of Indians were wiped out with wagon trains fighters n if they chased while shooting at them, likely more than majority.
