SAID IT BEFORE AND I'LL SAY IT AGAIN. Just love these old westerns which always pass a happy nostalgic hour. Amazing to think that these films are still being watched and hopefully enjoyed by new addicts to the original and despite poor quality, films. Lovely to see Sidney Toler who later on found fame (and hopefully fortune) as Charlie Chan.
This is so wonderful. I can't stomach the garbage so called reality TV now days. If it weren't for you I wouldn't have anything to watch. Thank you so very much for sharing these amazing great Westerns. 🙃☕💖💖💖
Douglas Dumbrille played many a bad hombre and idid a great job of playing the anti hero! I’d never seen this movie before and really enjoyed it! I’m going to watch it again soon!
Second time watching this. A great watch even if small pieces were missing. Seems like the first time I watched the pieces weren't missing, but still a good movie.
I love that he's always going on about his muffin pans - I know how frustrating a bad muffin pan can be - it is an all consuming task to find just the right one !
This is an excellent movie with an outstanding cast and story! If you are passing by, its well worth your time to watch. The highlight of the movie is Charlie Chan and his muffin pan. Any cooks here, you know what he is talking about. Another high point is the good horseback chase starting about 00:40:00. Raise a beer for the cowboy that rode the stunt and the unforunate horse that took the head first fall. Why do I enjoy watching the old movie riders give their horses a good work out? One of life's little pleasures is putting a comfortable saddle on a good horse, I'll use on of my wife's horses and ride it to the hills and back. 3 miles or so later, I bring back a well worked horse and my wife is pissed because I didn't ask her or was gone too long.
Everyone knows Sidney Toler as the great and best ( at least in my opinion ) Charlie Chan. I was thinking that Toler began playing Charlie Chan in the 30's, so I looked him up and learned some neat facts about Toler. He began Charlie Chan in 1938, the same year as this movie. Toler had already had an illustrious career as a playwright and a stage actor long before he moved to Hollywood.
Nice fight toward the end. Lots of wrestling before the one punch that ends it. Exciting music to accompany it. Everything gets broken up. That sheriff is an idiot.
Too bad the editing cut out some dialogue/action. Zane Gray -based westerns are true-to-cowboy life. Adjustments necessary for movie length. Actors great: Pecos Bill, sidekick, the daughter, sheriff, young foreman. Movies these days--some good, bad, waste of time/money/talent behind the camera--could benefit from authors/bases like Zane Gray, Larry McMurtry, Louis Lemoore, Mark Twain, sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie, Pearl S. Buck. et al. Thank you for sharing this better-than-average film. Remaster audio, film for greater viewership/appreciation with restored footage.
@@truthadvocacy Actually I think that so much time has gone by that the "Western" is gone from the world. I mean the actors in the '20's and 30's westerns were closer to the Western era in time but after all the time gone by, the newer westerns can only try to assimilate dialect, clothing worn in that era, ...in other words, today's westerns look only like actors trying to play a part. Just not convincing. Just my opinion.
This would be a great story for Quentin Tarantino to make anybody out there no the guy gave him the name of this movie at least he can find out if he gets it for free as old as it is it should be in public domain it’s a good story told well
Movie cowboys showed me how to ride horses when I was a teenager. Stable workers gave us fast horses .... My girl friend watching me run the livery 🏇, the horse trips and face plants on hard ground 00:42:12. Yes stable owner, it was my fault. Please don't tell my parents! A hundred and twenty five dollars! Thats a alot of money and it'll take the rest of the summer to pay you off. Yes, officer, I will pay 💰the stable owner for the dead horse.

Well, Billy the Kid was around and the injuns were on the warpath. None of that applies now. What the warped thinking is these days is that I need a gun because other people have guns.
There are only a few 3rd world countries that have more firearms deaths per capita than the United States. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why. In the old days the NRA used to focus on hunter education and gun safety. Now they are a source of misinformation and evil pandering to sociopathic rubes. Constitutional carry my rearend. I'm 70 and I've not seen a Zane Grey movie until this month. they have humor and a good story line. Thanks for the post
The scene in which Pecos was riding solo was amazing! That horse was majestic.

At least them Westerns have a story to tell.
I used to watch this on vhs and other zane greys western. And the funny thing is I'm 28, but at least I was raised by my dad who liked old westerns.
🏜Zane Grey. Always a good movie! ❤Thank you for a wonderful old Western! 🐎✨ 🌟 🌟
Thanks for watching PizzaFLIX. May the Sauce be with you. 🍕🍕🍕

Thanks for uploading this episode.
Excellent! Loved this. Thanks for sharing.
Loved the Arizona scenery in this, esp. the Saguaros! They were thick up around Phoenix, not so much down Mammoth way where I spent much of my youth.

This is a great cast and well acted,a damm good western
Excellent! Loved this movie .
Enjoyable. Wish they had not garbbled over the one father daughter conversation when downloading. The book is almost unrecognizable in the movie!
Another good show 👏 👌
Guys, the side kick is SIDNEY TOLER who eventually became Charlie Chan!
I believe it was Toler who became sick while make Chan movies. Had to stop and soon died.
The mission with an incomplete tower is San Xavier Mission, just south of Tucson.
oh, yes, sydney's comic relief is priceless!
Thanks for sharing it! I always enjoy watching Old Western Movies though. 👍👌👏
An of course, I'm a subscriber!

Good, thank you.
Sidney Toler was 64 years old in this film and died in 1947 after playing Charlie Chan.
Awesome! Great Western! 👍
the bad guy called Cramer was played by Glenn strange who went on to play Frankenstein in the 40's and was Sam the bartender in Gunsmoke in the 50's

I prefer the old westerns. No cussing, no blatant sex acts. No stupid innuendos. It was just better.
Some modern westerns are good too.

Sad to see the Father riding away and leaving his daughter the way he did. But otherwise good picture.
I think the leading lady had a bum right arm I never seen her straighten it out through the whole movie.
Not the worest western but different in who plays the lead/ he usually played in ganster and mystery moives / i like
