In no way shape or form am I being paid for this but Curiosity Stream is amazing!!!! I’m huge documentary fan and I have not found a single doc or episode that I have seen previously. IF CuriosityStream is reading this (and as a former software developer I know you are always improving on things) would you please add >1 persons watching to the top of the list? In my household, my watching taste is very different than my daughter’s. Ie, I would like to have separate to-watch lists.
This is the first time I’ve seen CS being advertised and I cannot recommend it enough!!!

Poppy seeds can lie dormant in the soil for 70-100 years then when the soil gets disturbed it can “awaken” the seeds . This is probably what happened in your garden. This is also what happened during WW1 after the destruction of all the shells the seeds came back to life and really flourished in the fields of Flanders, which is why the Poppy became the symbol of Remembrance and the Royal British Legion.

Planting potatoes where you want to have flowerbeds in future is a great idea, they break up the soil so the flowers will be easier to plant. My mother talks about her (perfect lawn obsessed) father planting potatoes before he planted a new lawn because it prepared the soil.

Wow that would be a really great idea. I should also be sprinkled with porcelain paring like they do with 🍷 wine. Then several information sections about the eatable flowers. Can’t forget last year’s over stock of was it zucchini and she put it in the most creative dishes. Also is it Suzette that does the best painting.

Whenever I entertain on my zen patio, people always ask to help clean up, more than likely I decline any assistance. Hard to explain, but your shot of the dinner table has that same feeling… ❤

I know Pavlina sometimes goes and stays with Steve and Sara. Now Marie is back she has lost her role as chateau florist which is sad as she did a lovely job. I hope she’s not too upset by that. I half wonder if she could work part time at the flower farm making bouquets there for sale. She would love that. For someone who’s homeland is being ravaged by war she still manages to have such a happy and sunny disposition.

Thank you for the lovely video! but WHY are you PULLING the weeds?? why? why? By disturbing the soil you encourage more weed seeds to germinate among other harm to the soil structure and its habitants, plus if you just use a sharp knife and cut it right below the baseline of the top, it keeps the root in to decompose. Never mind how much easier and cleaner it is to weed! Love the Patreon video, thank you for sharing!

As noisy as the hens are they are great for eating ticks.
I had to pull one off my cheek bone it must have been on my garden gloves and I wiped my brow. Ick! I had to use a magnifying mirror to see what I was doing- it has legs double ick. Tweezers worked.

White peacocks are not albinos. They actually have a genetic mutation that is known as Leucism, which causes the lack of pigments in the plumage. A white peacock is technically a genetic variant of the Indian Blue Peafowl. The colors in the feathers of a bird are determined two factors: pigment and structure. The white feathers on a peacock depend on which genes are dominant and which are recessive. They don’t have any pigmentation. What separates an albino from a white peacock is the color of the skin beneath its feathers.

The doctor doesn't recommend Isabelle leaning over due to her eyes. Isabelle was born blind in one eye, like her mother. Last year, she had surgery and can see out of both eyes now. The greenhouse would be a wonderful place for her to garden upright. ❤❤❤

Did you know there’s no such thing as half albinism? You are either fully albino or not. That said, I have a theory about the pea chicks!!!
Leucism is only a partial loss of pigment and thus leucistic organisms often have a striped or speckled appearance, although they can still be almost completely white. Leucism doesn't affect eyes, however, and thus an easy way to tell whether an animal is leucistic or albino is to look at its eyes. If its eyes look normal (or if it has any color) it's probably leucistic, if it has really weird pale or reddish pink eyes (and has no color) then it's probably albino. You could also call them piebald, but the fancy word is leucitic.
That being said, I highly recommend googling piebald peacocks. They are gorgeous and it would be soooo cool to have TWO!

Great video, so glad that you are able to get the important repairs on the chapel . Please change how your mom is using the heat lamp in her bedroom for the chicks in a cardboard box. This is a HUGE FIRE HAZARD. a few months ago on another TH-cam homestead they almost burnt down their house when the heat lamp fell into the box and started on 🔥 fire 🔥

Marie, use a baking soda and water slurry on the stained walls. Let it sit awhile and it will easily remove the soot.

Stephanie, you can be ultra elegant but just at home gardening. This is why I like you. Mummy can weed, if she takes it easy? She looks very strong. A suggestion: i found when weeds are hard to pull, watering a bit softening the ground. Your mom is very stronf willed.

I am confused why "mommy" can't weed? Gardening is an excellent form of exercise for those who are older. Being in my early 70's myself, I am not that far off from her age. I also saw how gardening was very important for Mom's health in her elder years. I loved the photo that Marie got!
