hammams existed in morocco way before the existance of the othoman empire , the turks took so many things from morocco which they call fes such as the red hat which is moroccan tarbouch and hammam . the hammam in morocco was influenced by the roman bath since morocco was part of the roman empire .
Hello Wataru. We are happy to see this video of yours and to know that you are well, continuing with your purposes as a youtuber and publishing your videos with more imagery quality, more elaborate editions, cool themes and increasingly better narratives. We haven't forgotten when we met you, on our train ride to Slovenia and the time we were able to enjoy your pleasant company there. We hope to see you again somewhere in this world. In the meantime, we will continue to root for your progressive and rapid success and that the positive energies of the Universe will drive you to achieve your most desired goals in life. A special and encouraging hug from me and Bettina.
I clearly remember when we had a good time in Slovenia:) Thank you and I wish you a great journey as well. Hopefully we'll meet somewhere in the world again
So there were differences between Turkish bath and Moroccan Hamman, definitely would like to try both. The latter sounds classic, healthier with black soap.
That was a great video and very unique content. I enjoyed watching it. I am retired and live in Japan, but I have been wanting to visit Morocco for a long time. This made me want to go even more.
My wife and kids are from Morocco and I can assure you there’s nothing like a genuine Moroccan hammam! As I understand it, it cost all five dollars for men or women it doesn’t matter and having experienced that so many times already its a treat in so many ways.
I love Moro o and their food and people. You should try outside Marrakech they are more open to tourist specially if you’re a blogger. I mean small city and not very prominent ha am. Usually they have better massage service they ay allow you to film the process. I live there for 6 years I know it will work to other places
you should try a traditional Moroccan hamam just for the experience even without filming it, very different experience than what you tried now, the same big lines but very different
You misses a few steps. They pour hot water on you as you enter the steamroom and also after they are done soaping andscrubbing you. Also. cold water in the end.
From the video the bath looks pretty relaxing and nice! But from the explanation of the video I feel like you havent experienced an *actual* morrocan bath that most of us get. The one you visitted was a tourist hammam, yes, but usually the hammams offer scrubbing body with bath glove (after putting the black soap of course) which is probably painful to people who first experience it due to the fact the scrubs are so hard your skin turns red (but dont worry its safe! we morrocans have it as traditional bathe and we are used to it, plus its way cleaner than most baths), after that you do the normal rest of cleaning (cleaning hair and cleaning body) and that's it! Baths like these takes 1 hour but theyre very relaxing. some hammams even offer tea (or water if you dont like morrocan tea like me, ironically as a morrocan myself lol) Whoever, I dont recommend you do that bath everyday, because it can harm your skin because of the bath glove! we usually do them once or twice a weak better.
Wes, as a moroccan I can honestly say that you tried just a touristic spa with hammam codes. However, the hammam that we go to in the non touristic areas are much more close to the turkish experience: hot steam, and the manly treatment for scrubing, bone cracking, muscle slaps etc.
@@mehdijakani5519to be honest the ritual isn't like the turkish ones they are different.thr stuff we do and all the steps are totally different especially for us women (not sure how it is for men)
Congrats on the new country and the amazing experience. I hope it gets you lots more views. Enjoying your content and energy. I hope you will enjoy our father-son anthropological travel channel too. I think your mindset and appetite for adventure align with ours. Keep up the good work. - Turtle
man if only you reached out to someone, most Hammams are managed by cool people, majority of them would set up a time where You could come and film the whole experience in a real Hammam, not a Spa-like Hammam.
It's a matter of protecting people's privacy and modesty, you can't film in a traditional hamam where everyone is basically naked and even if it's touristy, most don't want to take that risk. Guess there's no option but to experience it for yourself lol
They didn’t allow you to film the massage it’s because there is 🔞 moments , i know how SPA and hammam works in Morocco ;) m i right ? i am moroccan btw
Moroccans aren't arabs we are amazigh the free people of north Africa, arabs are in the middle east also we have our fair of roman history spqr has been in Morocco for centuries u can still find old cities near meknes

Thank you for this! It was very interesting and makes me want to go to Morocco now!
Wesさんの動画を見ていると、英語と好奇心が世界を知るための鍵だと感じます😊
You described the experience very well. It sounds like a wonderful experience.
So there were differences between Turkish bath and Moroccan Hamman, definitely would like to try both. The latter sounds classic, healthier with black soap.
the black soap, called "Saboun Beldi" (native soap), is very special because it helps specifically with degreasing and exfoliating dead skin.
That was a great video and very unique content. I enjoyed watching it. I am retired and live in Japan, but I have been wanting to visit Morocco for a long time. This made me want to go even more.
I Love your YT channel. very enjoyable to watch and learn.

Nice job! I'm excited because I've always wanted to see Morocco, and can experience it through your eyes. And open pores.
Was about time you visit my home country Wes !
Enjoy the beautiful weather over there :) and also the food !
I had one in a tiny little village in morroco and was told not to leave the hotel, but I went, and It was amazing
He's so cute!
Great video. I just arrived and I think I’ll try it out too
I love Morocco ❤️

I think you and Luke Korns should do a collaboration! You both go so deeply into the cultures of the places you travel to.
Who did you the scrub and massage man or woman ?
you should try a traditional Moroccan hamam just for the experience even without filming it, very different experience than what you tried now, the same big lines but very different
Wes you should just do videos of travelling the world and showing all the hammam/spa, its suits you. All the best!
good attempt
I liked your hammam experience. I hope to see more videos of your travels. Will you show onsen?
Hey, Thanks for the video! Do you remember the name of this hammam spot?
You misses a few steps. They pour hot water on you as you enter the steamroom and also after they are done soaping andscrubbing you. Also. cold water in the end.
I think you're becoming a hammam/massage/sauna expert. Perhaps this is because of the Japanese love of dipping themselves into natural springs.
Yeah probably haha
I wish I could find a similar experience near my home
Any other open hammam for local ?
Ingenious invention indeed which many spas acquired.

Thanks mate I’m from London and I enjoyed your review. I’m going with my lovely wife to one and I now know what expect 😂 a good slap😂
Nice video Wes... Which is better hammam. I think the Moroccan hammam is a little bit gentler.
Honesty I miss the brutal one in Turkey too haha

Thank you!

Nice
Nice! How much does it cost?
You should try Algeria or Tunisia next
It would be cool to do videos of you getting haircuts and crazy massages in different countries.
❤
😆
As a moroccan , I just want a regular shower 😂 the heat in hammams is too much for me
Malek mousekh 😂😂😂

Go to Tangier you will really like it
Keep traveling within MENA, Wes!!

How much was the whole hammam?
What a happy ending.
😂
Happy ending?
It would be interesting to know how much it costed.

man if only you reached out to someone, most Hammams are managed by cool people, majority of them would set up a time where You could come and film the whole experience in a real Hammam, not a Spa-like Hammam.
May I know the name of hammam
You are cute!
😆
@@NomadicWes You are, love me some Asian Persuasion! ;)
@@NomadicWes Seriously, you are sexy!
I don't know why it's so impossible to film this procedure! 😡 Seriously Morocco... Name your price.

you want to film naked people? people are supposed to feel safe in a public bathhouse dont ruin it
turkish haram is best
as Asian I'm don't want to go there, seems like a lot of restrictions there

Are there Hammams for women as well?
Often the same one, with a women's side and men's side. He's just showing the men's side.
Bro you need to try a traditionnal hammam not these one
describing is not the same as seeing it...
This is not hamam ... Real Hamam price is 1.5 $
at minute 6 of the video all of the sudden this video became a commercial - no, thank you
Thats not traditional hamma, there should be no women there
In Turkey it's all about manipulation and abuse - hammam, icecream and dating
TURKISH HAMAM NOT MOROCCAN
Kind of heavy on the advertising, but still ❤️
Thank you!
So, their liars. Ok
