    Even though "this is most difficult" to achieve in creating a "realistic" fur; the rewards are great! Practice... Practice... Patience.. Slow it down! Thank you again Brenda, for your shown examples and superb instructions.

    Great video Brenda. I showed this to a friend who has just taken up burning. You make it look so easy! At least now I understand what I am doing wrong to get that soft transition between the light and shaded areas. This video made me think about human hair, men, women and children. Would you be up for a video on that type of burning? Thanks so much for your tutorials, I love them and learn so much. Cheers!

    Hey brenda this was really well explained and i love how you show exactly what you do behind the timelapse! This method certainly takes a lot of patience like realism usually does but this is a lot more intricate maybe because you have to get it right first time since there is no eraser aha Well done on this video it was great to watch as always :)

    • @PyrographyMadeEasy
      @PyrographyMadeEasy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Eve,
      Realism takes patience as you well know. Pyrography is slower than drawing, but for some reason more enjoyable. There are ways to erase mistakes (sand paper), and that's good because i don't think I've ever created any piece of artwork where I didn't have to fix something. :)

      I was curious if anyone would be commenting about seeing more of the cats in work. I just didn't want to make the video too long as it takes forever to upload. Plus if they get too big they don't fit on my storage dvds.

      The most common problem is using a heavy hand pressure. This technique requires very light hand pressure.

  • @PyrographyMadeEasy

    This video demonstrates my zigzag burn method to create animal fur. I use 4 different cat examples to show the ways that zigzags can be altered to create different looks. This is not a tutorial about how to create the 4 different cats. Instead it is a demonstration explaining the concepts needed to create different looks in the fur. You can then apply the concepts to your artwork.

    Hi again I love that you show how to get different fur lengths and textures but I noticed you never change your pen tip what kind of tip do you use and once again you are awsome beautiful work

    • @PyrographyMadeEasy
      @PyrographyMadeEasy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Lloyd,
      I'm using a smaller shader pen tip. Any shader pen tip will work. I pick my shader based on the size of the area I will be burning in. Larger area I tend to pick a larger shader.
      As for the specific shader in the video is by Colwood and is called the J shader. They assign a letter to each of the pen tips. Not sure what they will do when they use up all of the letters in the alphabet. :)

    Once again you have created an in depth and very informative tutorial video. Do you take a long time in planning these tutorials Brenda ? I am giving you top marks and a huge thumbs up for your Zig Zagging technique ! Well if it isn't my favorite and only Dino King!
      I hope you are doing well. Thank you for the awesome comment. I have to tell you that I continue to be amazed at my sub numbers. I really never expected that.
      For the most part I don't spend much time planning out the videos. Usually what happens is I start working on them (like this one) and ideas about ways to help better show what I'm trying to explain start popping into my head. Then I have to create the artwork.... Fortunately that doesn't happen all that often. I do have one I've been working on for several months as I keep thinking about different ways to approach the subject, so I put it aside a little longer as I ponder. :)
      Have a fantastic week!

    Thank you for a wonderfully detailed explanation of fur shading. I learned quite a lot. One question do you have a example of a all white animal/cat?

    • @PyrographyMadeEasy
      @PyrographyMadeEasy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Dena,
      I'm glad the explanation helped. The only white fur tutorial I have is for a dog with curly hair.
      What I will tell you is that the techniques for a white furred animal does not change. The only thing that changes is how dark you burn in the fur.
      All of the fur needs to be burned to a tan color. Light tan in the highlights and dark tan to light brown in the shadows.
      Then darken the background (not pitch black) and that will make the cat's fur still seem white.
      Hope that helps.

      Ciao! Sì, la bottiglia ha dell'acqua che appanna leggermente sulla tavola. Solleva le venature sul legno e le carteggio dopo che la tavola è asciutta. Il produce una tavola super liscia. Inoltre questo aiuterà a prevenire l'aumento del grano se si tratta di un cambiamento di umidità.

      Very true. You are most welcome. I think a common misconception all pyrographers have when they first start is that a different pen tip is needed for each texture. I bought a LOT of pen tips because of this.
      Fast forward a few years and many projects later and now I know that only 2 are needed; a writer and a shader.
