Does pocketed coil have other benefits? I sleep alone so I am not worried about movement of another person.

Hi there -- Thanks for your question. Besides motion isolation, the other principal benefit of pocketed coils over connected coils is their ability to conform more closely to your body's curves. This is mainly an advantage for side sleepers, especially lighter and/or curvier ones.
Another advantage is noise -- since the springs don't touch, you shouldn't hear any creakiness/squeaks that were noticeable with connected coils. Likewise, pocketed coils are generally compatible with an adjustable base whereas connected coils typically are not.
And lastly, there are some other advantages that are possible with pocketed coils in general but that you won't see on the entry-level Beautyrest models specifically. Examples of this would include beds featuring "zoned support" (firmer coils in the middle third of the bed to support the hips) or "edge coils" (firmer coils around the perimeter to give a mattress better edge support).
      I hope that's helpful.

@@goodbed So can we say that connected coils are somewhat better than entry level back sleepers? They may be more firm and provide more support.
      edit: for back sleepers

@@wangge203 I'm not sure I understand your question however we can certainly say that pocketed coils are better than connected coils for some people, while connected coils would be better for other people. FYI, more detailed information can be found in our written and video guides to innerspring mattresses here: www.goodbed.com/innerspring-mattresses/
      I hope that's helpful.

Anybody try the Beautyrest Renewal Laguna?

Hi Jason. Thank you for the comment. We have not tried that particular mattress, but my best guess is that it is similar to the Harmony Lux collection here in the United States. Specifically, it looks like the two collections share the same coil unit.
Here's our coverage of the Harmony Lux: www.goodbed.com/reviews/beautyrest-harmony-lux-mattress-preview/
      Hope that helps!

I bought a Beautyrest Pressure Smart for me and my wife. We are both thin and tall. This is the worst mattress I've ever had in my life. Both sides of the bed have a deep pocket and there is absolutely no support. The bed has eroded completely in only 1 year of use. We bought the "firm" mattress and it's GARBAGE. AVOID.
