- The #vrx cobra is one of those cars that I think just needs to stay on the shelf.
They look great, but that’s about it. They really need alot of work to keep them
Running.
Well mine anyway.
Took it to the local bmx rack, gave it a bash and yep. Broke it again.
Not a bad break , but just some minor issues like the battery straps, the sticky pad for the esc and broke the rear wind on a roof landing!.

Hi mate, great videos! I've been closely rewatching your vrx and ftx videos to follow your experiments with the hsp diffs.
Did you find the hsp diffs any better than the vrx/ftx diffs?
I'm new to the hobby and I have a carnage, a quantum+, a 124019 and recently I got cobra, and I seem to be constantly fixing carnage, mostly diffs.

Ok but they need care. I’m saying that, they need shimming. So there is no side movement when they are meshing together. They was no difference if the vex to the ftx, they run the same product. Also I use a red tacky grease that I got from a motor shop. It’s called red and tacky. Helps a lot with keeping the gears lubricated and I use it in all my cars. Hope this info helps. Let me

i got a few of them just a little modding a bit a hair pulling and the redcat imex samurai ftx zoro common china rc 1/10 crap steal gears fit in them i got a cheap set of amazon for redcat and funny the bearing are so bad looses like abec-0 grade lol but 16 usd for a set of diffs to rob gears from all i needed but china is funny like that .i did learn to use this to find bearings bulk Abec-3 Bearings [tolerance rating 3 is good 5 is well very good but any how
Hey anges, what set up did u do on your vrx cobra.
At this stage I upgraded the motor and the esc. 3670 2500kv and 120amp speed controller.
Also fitted some metal
Swing arms and replaced the chassis plate with a carbon fibre one. Apart from that, everything else is stock. 👍🏼🚗

Yeah for sure. It can!. But if the motor starts cogging , like it’s struggling to take off. You might need to put in a smaller pinion gear. I think they start from factory at 13 tooth. I could be wrong.👍🏼🚗
Is that Tullamarine Bmx track , my Vrx is stock , goes good n jumps good
Yeah it is. it would be a good track if they maintained it. Trying my best with jumping, I don't get enough time to practice that part of bashing.

I’m in Sunbury , few spots there , Bmx track ok for jumps with landings , but pebbles n sand will cook your esc fan , I got a ramp I put down, just small air , as I’m not goin Rc shops lol, , will try Altona Bmx soon , n venture out n find other stuff,
