Mine died in the same way. 2017 limited. Looking at how to fix with all the new secuirty doodads. Havent done a head unit on a car newer than 2005 before

I had a Kenwood unit install last week on my Tiguan, but now getting a parking brake warning warning when switching the car off and turning off the ignition has delay with the engine turning off. Have the installers not ground the park brake as someone else mentioned in the chat?

How do you route a USB cable from the head unit to the car so you can plug your phone in if there is only a USB port in the back of the unit?

I've got the same issue with the factory reverse camera not working with an aftermarket headunit. I even bought an adaptor harness and still nothing. Thank you so much for showing your method. I'll give this a go and report back.

why of WHY get a generic aftermarket unit that requires special trim to fit? Plenty of makers including Xtrons have ones specially made to fit VW. Anyway, thanks for the helpful vid.

Is there a certain code you’ll need once you insert the aftermarket radio? I’ve seen “you’ll need a code if you remove main connection”

Nope :) Maybe if you unplug the original the plug it back in. But not changing the radio no.
