  • Man this thing is pretty awesome. You can use C245, T12, and 936/T18 cartridge and tip systems.
    Handles used were:
    • C245 + 936: Aixun
    • T12/T15: www.aliexpress...

    hi, can you disassemble the AIXUN 936 handle? the product is discontinued, I wanna to know how to modify 907 handle for AIXUN, thank you very much if you could do so.

      Wow! Aliexpress really is sold out everywhere unless you get the 936 bundle. The handle uses a special 3-prong metal heater which is not avaiable anywhere.
      It's wired the same as the XPG controllers.
      Follow the diagram for the AT936 here:
      www.aliexpress.us/item/3256802194508944.html
      Just scroll down, and you'll see the wiring diagrams for the various handles like the T245 and T12. They are exactly the same as the Aixun.
      You will need an AT936B heater with the 2 wires. Make sure you get the 2-wired one. Also, compared to the original Aixun 936 handle, you will have a difference of about +150deg with the AT936B heater, so careful when setting the temps on first start up. I recommend using an old tip so you don't risk burning your good tip. Calibrate accordingly. Also, when calibrating, I find that you need to reset (turn off and back on) the Aixun station for it to set the new calibration settings.

    Where can I buy 936 handle for T3A its discontinued is there a way to make one? Thanks great video!

      Unfortunately, the replacement heater is not avaialble for resale, and it's needed to make a replacement handle. i've tried a few similar heaters with around the same resistance and specs, but they don't work so well.

    AIXUN T3A soldering iron station with 2.4 inch color display, 100-480 ℃ temperature adjustable, with real-time dormancy, supports 936, T12, T245 handles and soldering iron tips for mobile phone soldering repair.

    I'm after their T420D dual-iron JBC clone station but the price is a bit much! Was hoping for a Black Friday sale.

    • @The_SegaHolic
      @The_SegaHolic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would be a bit much. You planning to use T245 or T210 or the T115? Or all? There's cheap C210 clones right now... I'm curious about the smaller handle and itps.

    • @emmettturner9452
      @emmettturner9452 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@The_SegaHolic All three. :) The T245 with some extra heavy duty JBC cartridges will be useful for some EVSE builds. I really want to get into micro-soldering for board level cell phone repair so the T210 wouldn’t be useless for me. It seems many people are fine with the T115 as an everyday iron so I’ll give it a go. Anything is better than my Aoyue Int 701A++ that takes clone T18 tips (same as Hakko FX-888D).

    • @The_SegaHolic
      @The_SegaHolic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@emmettturner9452 Yeah, the 936/T18/FX-888D is pretty ubiquitous. I have an Aoyue myself, and was my first real soldering station. Bought over 10 years ago. Didn't want to pay for a Hakko. Then it started "erroring" which I didin't know the tip was oixdized from the inside so the station couldn't get a good temp reading. So I got a handheld Hakko FX-600 which uses T-18. Then I got a cheap T12 KSGER clone on Amazon, and that thing changed my outlook on soldering. Anyways, you can get a cheap t12 clone for like $35 that has a ton of features. The T12 tips are really fast heating too. Plus the T12/T15 real tips from Hakko start at $12 for the common tips- direct from Hakko USA. They also offer free shipping.
      But the JBC t245 heat so fast! I just ordered like 4 authentic tips... those are what kill you.
      Anyways, I'll be focusing on Solderin Irons for the time being with my vids. LOL.

    Is there any info available about how you modified the T12 handle? I assume that the T12 handle from AiXun doesn't fit the holder very well, and this modified one does?

    Tell me about the T245C handle, are the metal parts aluminum or stainless steel?

    • @The_SegaHolic
      @The_SegaHolic  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I checked magnetism and it's not. I don't think it's aluminum either as there are no dings on the interior where you insert the cartridge. Might be some sort of alloy. Color-wise, the expterior is shinier than what I would expect aluminum to be. The inside parts are darker and duller. Really, I feel it's some sort of alloy or non-magnetic stainless steel. It's proving too durable to be otherwise.
