OG Piccolo or Kami never knew they were Namekian, just that they were separate halves of the same being. And in DBZ, Namekian fusion is never shown to meld their consciousness. That's purely a TFS thing, So Piccolo fusing/absorbing Nail and Kami was always purely a powerup. Buuut.... i guess Toriyama forgot that (again) and just rewrote it. Which is fair.
Important point i think to note, i cant recall any namekian writing showing up in the series. Its possible the written language is lost. One can speak a language without being able to read it

I'm a bit iffy on that since the scene didn't present it as such, but it'd be interesting if that's the case. Otherwise, yeah I don't buy Piccolo forgetting. They could have just written it to where you have to speak Namekian in "Demon Realm dialect" for the balls to work there. - Funny that Mark was going through the alphabet for predicting the new Buu, I also saw a comment somewhere that assumed the naming scheme of them is going down the English alphabet and that "Kuu" is intended to be spelled with a "C" (Buu>Cuu>Duu>etc.) - About the discussion on spoilers itself, I do agree that anything can be spoiler, but I also think if we strictly follow by that logic, no one would be allowed to openly talk about any story element in public online spaces because someone out there is going to get spoiled, which wouldn't be fun if we all did that. I do believe there's an unspoken "time limit" on when people largely agree it's okay to talk about story details after it's been released. So I'm agreeing with Mark here.
Picollo not knowing namekian anymore got so many people weirded out? He wasnt even an original namekian, its been years since the last time he spoke or heard namekian, it doesnt seen to be a written language only spoken, its very normal to forget with time when you dont use it

I feel like next episode or maybe the next one, after doo fails to beat tamagami one, were gonna get a montage of making more and more majin as they all become planted deeper and growing stranger and more powerful leading to either a final majin absorbing all of them, or an army of them that all jump the tamagami after the montage ends
Water in stories often is a signifier of change, a symbolical rebirth AND we even have Vegeta being swallowed by a whale/kraken so I hope we'll get something interesting and profound for Vegeta's character next episode. When I reread the manga this year after quite a long time I noticed just how many times Vegeta is engulfed by water, often simultaneously overcoming death in the Namek arc. I love subtle symbolism like that. So I think it's definitely a choice to have Vegeta, of all people, battle in the water realm, especially considering everything that happened with him in the Buu arc. That being said, the Water Vegeta meme is one oft the most hilarious things I've seen all year. Btw, very happy and relieved about your Star Wars preferences. Here's somewhat of I consider a plot hole tbh. How in the ever living fuck does ss3 seem more stressful on the body than say ssg or ssgb. We're talking literally God energy here but that's somehow easier to maintain? I've never really understood that.
