Has anybody noticed the sound engineering of these recordings? Let's not take it for granted. Just having an exact representation makes this so pleasing.
Toni and Reina, I had a major stroke stroke a little while back and almost died. Because of IMMEDIATE help I am still here. But I deal every day with Psydo-Balba Affect (I can't control some of my emotions) (I cry just about every day). But I AM alive! I started listening to you extremely talented young ladies about a year ago. And I get so much satisfaction from listening to you two, that I cry most of the time listening to you two play and sing! And it's the happiest CRY ever. You two bring me such happiness listening to you, and I KNOW many others. PLEASE, NEVER STOP! 😃
Very very Dead related in execution on this killer rendition of the Buddy Holly timeless classic "Not fade Away" Please check out just about any live Grateful Dead version of this !
I’ve said it before. Most people can’t sing harmony; most people can’t sing harmony and play lead guitar at the same time; most people can’t harmonise, play lead and arrange the whole thing; most people can’t do that and be a great friend at the same time and make someone close to them look so amazing. Great stuff.
It's lonesome away from your kindred and all, by the campfire at night where the wild dingos call. . and listen to the lovely singing of Toni and Reina...
Well I'm 61 and you gals are blowing me away. Reina your voice purrs, and Toni your guitar playing is right up there with today's best. Thank you for soothing our world every Sunday.
First time I heard not fade away was when Gary Busey played the role of buddy , in the 1978 film The Buddy Holly story. This was ab awesome cover love it
And they say people will go to extremes to get back out into the world. LOL. What a great day. An amazing song written by a genius songwriter. Two beautiful and talented women playing and singing. In a location which is one of the most incredible backdrops anywhere. Enjoy your stay there ladies. Try not to freeze off anything important. Sorry about your Euro tour schedule. The positive (I always look for positives) is that we may be getting more streamed concerts. Not quite the same for you guys without the immediate and vocal appreciation from an audience, but trust me when I say that all of us who will be watching those streamed shows will be clapping and screaming our heads off. Stay safe and well Reina and Toni.
I had a guitar. It taught me that my inborn rhythm is of words. The guitar was unbranded. Like to Willie Nelson, I gave it a name -- Ol' Firewood. Then I gave up camping. It is good to hear you back, Ms. Lindgren.
I remember Buddy Holly's music very well from the radio in the 50's. Reina and Toni, you have the beat so perfect, you would think that it was Buddy Holly & The Crickets with both of you today.
Reina & Toni my words alone cannot express how much happiness your music brings to my life! Another beautiful Sunday morning performance!!! Thank you so very much.
Not only are you making beautiful music together for the enjoyment of your fans and supporters, you are creating a treasure trove of memories. No doubt, your Alaska adventure will be a jewel of special remembrance in that trove.
I remember in the late 70s calling into my local college radio station to thank them for playing this Grateful Dead song and the DJ said “Dude! That’s Buddy Holly!” Opened my eyes a bit. Then I learned that “all along the watchtower” wasn’t Hendrix’s…
The sheer beauty of this music found in the Alaska wilderness by two voices and two acoustic guitars brought tears to my eyes and a giant smile. Proof positive that humanity's little fires will triumph in spite of the turmoil and fear infecting the world right now. Thank you for sharing the fireside.
You had me in happy tears. In Denali no less! Thanks doesn't get across the emotion that song evokes in us Dead Heads. Reina you kept the rhythm tight and Toni your lead licks would make any picker proud. Grateful to you two. Jerry is God. Music saves. Not Fade Away Greetings from Vienna, Austria.
Wow coffee cheers Sunday morning with RDC and the GD ! I loved this. My love for you and the music that you play for all of us will Not Fade Away 😎🎼🎵🎶🎵🎸🥀⚘🌷🇺🇸
I was born and raised in the Lubbock, Texas area. Buddy died when I was very young so, yes, I’m an old guy. I have been a Buddy Holly fan all my life and Not Fade Away is at the very top of my favorite songs. Buddy did it best. Several people have butchered it. Several people have done good by it. This is one of the best renditions of Not Fade Away. You have made it your own but still maintained its heart. Buddy would be honored. Thanks you!!
Nice cover, ladies. Alaska, wow! Always creative. And nice to see Toni let you play her special guitar, Rachel! I always love hearing Toni’s harmony and she does well on this. And her fingers were dancing across the fretboard! Woo hoo!
You know you’re in good company when you agree with all the great comments. To all those who commented before me you left me with nothing original to say. Thanks Reina & Toni!!!
So...Saturday night the smokey apparition of Buddy Holly rose from the campfire and says to Toni, Hawaii doesn't Reina del cid cover one of my tunes? Toni says ... I don't know ... But Alaska🤣 OK, I'll admit it, I am as forest green as that chair with... admiration!!! Thanks!!!
Awesome rendition of the song. I think to Buddy Holly ,i think also to Eddy Cochran( he's native of Minnesota. ),Ricky Nelson .They were too young when death came.Thank you both .Take care. Be safe .we are in need of your beautiful music.❤❤❤☕☕☕
You two have just reminded me why I love folk music, acoustic guitars, Buddy Holly, and the unencumbered human voice. Thank you for starting my morning so sweetly!
Back in early 80s a couple of friends used to play this and other Buddy Holly songs. Sometimes I’d sit in on harmonica. Now they are gone,I’ve got peritoneal issues and can’t play well. This brought me back to better times. Thank you for that!

Thank the great spirits in the sky we have these two wonderful humans here and now.
Greetings from Fairbanks - we have a friend living in Wasilla that used to work in the front office for the Dead!
Holy smokes!! I love how she’s like ‘it’s out of tune but I’ll give it a try’ and then proceeds to burn it down 🔥
For sure Buddy is listening with a smile
Absolutely!
Poor Buddy. I hope you two lead a long, happy and prosperous life.

Reina and Toni together it's like even before watching the video

Agree. One of the few is jerry Garcia himself
Most people can’t even sing..
@@NikkoAus, this is not true.
Almost everyone could sing.
Thanks ladies stay warm.
Very talented women. You have worked hard to hone your skills. So good
My love is bigger than a Cadillac... Perhaps the greatest line in Rock 'n Roll. Fantastic performance.
The song has been covered by everybody from The Stones to The Grateful Dead.
It's lonesome away from your kindred and all, by the campfire at night where the wild dingos call. . and listen to the lovely singing of Toni and Reina...
Your simplicity, your freshness, your talent, your colors, your "fringues", your fire, your chairs, your trees and your sky, your glory, alleluia !!!!
