Absolutely great recap man. Succinct, and clear. I could not have made a video this good. I would have droned on for hours.
Comment is 7 days old on a new video?
@@YRandomVideosY I saw the video before publication since I'm directly quoted and cited.
I’ll always trust strictly sealed and ghezzi long before I’d trust CGC who has already proven time and time again to grade counterfeits and not do their research properly
Could you make a more in depth video. I followed all of the posts and stories when they were graded and Personally I find it challenging for people to believe either side (not saying you or CGC is wrong) but for us who have no idea about these cards I honestly couldn’t tell if all are real some were real or none were real. I think it’d be great to watch an in depth video to give us that information of what to look for and learn the history of these cards!
@@ClaysCollectibles my drafted paper is posted here. It's roughly 100+ pages
Its was nice learning about these type of cards. I didn’t know they existed let alone the fact people are counterfeiting them.
Great video!! Love the breakdown
Let’s gooo!!! More TCG knowledge and history!🔥
Forgot to bring back the "mustardy" and "custardy" comparison for the vanilla lol great video!
Love the video Strictly, thank you
The official has that hexagonal ink pattern
man OCGs are so gorgeous!
Bruh am i drunk or ®️ sign next to konamy is like 50% bigger on counterfait, also, font of letter M in "magic" word seems like on original M is with sharp lines while on fake one M is kinda wider, m thing maybe i am misstaken but man that ®️ simbol looks obvious too me, idk how that guy with scaner missed it
The copyright information is indeed one of the best ways to identify the forgeries
Just typical CGC behavior grading everything under the sun
Love how clean and nice you edit these videos man, its like some people dont get how to do less is more. Subtle, premium. Suits the brand man great vid
I’ve been following these cards for a while and am glad Ghezzi, who has a significant following in the Yugioh IG space, pointed these out as fakes. And now you, who has a significant following in the TH-cam space, is spreading the word. Unbelievable that CGC passed these as authentic…
Love the videos! Keep up the great work!!
I didn't know these cards existed! Let alone were faked. Very interesting find.
Where can I buy LOB wavy cards? Retail or hobby packs?
Can you do a video on the Retro Pack reprint? Your thoughts and future value etc
Amazing Vod Brother, keep going.
The counterfeit silver fang definitely looks like it has higher tints, especially around the border. The original has more shades. After comparing both it’s more obvious on the legit vs comparing it to the counterfeit one. Incredible video and breakdown analysis of the originals and fakes. I have been waiting for this video since that blue eyes CGC 10 Magic & Wizards sold.
Are the authentic ones glossy just like volume 1?
Yessir. Exact same card stock. Thanks for viewing the videos.
CGC grades anything that walks.
Walks?
Thanks For Viewing The Videos!

Kinda crazy how a grading company misses this insane maybe I should send them my fake cards nah jk 😂❤
Out of curiosity, are there any images of the fake ritual BLS?
@Intrepid_Explorer it isn't in my paper but I can link it. One second
@@GhezziTCG I was mostly wondering as the paper mentions it as a smoking gun of sorts, but no image of it was present; so it just somewhat jumped out at me. It was also mentioned in this video as a damning bit of evidence that these old prototype cards were forgeries, so I was mostly just curious.
@Intrepid_Explorer the BLS itself is one example of the paradoxes these forgeries create. The Asian English BEWD and DM are another example.
The Bls is in the Google drive I linked here as well.
The opinion rendered in the paper is the result of a confluence of issues, not just one.
I heard PSA has also screwed up and graded fakes as well from time to time . This goes to show these so-called professional authenticators can still be fooled. It’s still people judging and human error does occur . I remember sending in replica sneakers to stock x seeing if they’d pass and they did . Didn’t sell them to no one but it’s was definitely an eye opener.
Do you think every CGC Graded M&W card is fake? Or just some?
@@dagreenshiz if it has a slash between 1999 and konami, it is fake. This works for the time being
@@GhezziTCG It's 1999/Konami but perhaps if you had a single clue what you were talking about you would know that. The copyright which is evidenced by the Tokyo Dome invitation letter and games made in 1998 showing Tokyo Dome was planned out in 1998 alongside the games being made and the cards.
@@GhezziTCG Nice try with the edit lmao, but everyone can see you edited your comment. Every excuse you have made has been proven wrong, but perhaps you would know if you had read the article I had written.
@@OmegaCollectiblesLLC you should focus on the data that matters, like the stuff that suggests your cards are forgeries. Not ancillary grammar mistakes.
@@GhezziTCG I focus on real data backed up by real sources and cite in my article. You, however, have nothing other than your uneducated opinion and go around trying to call yourself an expert, but don't have a clue what you are talking about. I have had multiple versions of Yu-gi-oh test prints authenticated by CGC at this point, but clearly you didn't tell your buddy here when you sent him your cards. You just continue to make a fool of yourself, but please continue because I find it hilarious.
Isnt the Bandai printed Cards from 1998 Older than Volume1? And so the first printed yugioh cards.
Wow
I saw these on eBay the other day and was dumbfounded at how expensive they were and how many were online.
Good to know that some of these don’t pass the smell test if not all. I can’t imagine spending that amount of money and finding out they were fake.
Cool video!
Isn’t the easiest way to tell just that the corners are sharp angles instead of curved like normal cards?
Yes but they were being sold as uncut prototypes. Thanks for viewing the videos.
The surest method right now is to look for the slash between 1999 and konami in the copyright. Any version with the slash is a forgery
All the grading companies need to step their game up. PSA isn’t immune to this. I’ve yet to see Beckett mess up this bad.
Wow never even knew these cards existed! Grading companies really need to do better, smh
Actually, a fake card that managed to get graded might just be a unique and collectable item in and of itself
Some goes with all the beta / alpha test prints popping up lately and clowns are paying $$$$$ for them😂😂
Awesome video!
As always, can't trust grading companies man. "Oh yeah, the logo here is kinda blurred... hm... Oh, an almost invisible dent on an otherwise flawless card! aaaand it's a 6. Neeext." xV
clown grading companies
You should also disclose the fact that you and he are business partners. So, you have an interest in having people listen to his nonsensical lies.
Who would you trust? a renowed and famous company that certifies, with an official slab and label, the authenticity of a card through a professional and certified method or a random guy on TH-cam?
You can appeal to authority and trust whoever you want lol idgaf, I’m giving my opinion. Thanks for viewing the videos.
They have been caught grading fake cards several times moron. Strictly has a ton of knowledge on the hobby and he’s right for calling it out. You are literally delusional if your only point is “ they are a renowned and famous company.” That doesn’t mean they’re exempt from making errors and clearly they continue to do so 😂
CGC, PSA and others have graded fake cards before, this is not new sadly
@@StrictlySealed appeals to authority and ad hominem attacks the lowest logical bar.
I'm going to trust the collectors that eat sleep and breathe these cards. you think those grading companies have anyone with the expertise in these very old and vague cards that these guys have? you can tell with the side by side comparison that these aren't even remotely close to the original but keep buying and grading cards with these shady companies.
