If my s8 battery wasnt so old after 5 years, i would still use it as first phone. Got s21 because under screen fingerprint and stereo speakers that i missed at s8, everything else was perfect
I had the fold 3 and 4 and they are absolutely amazing when opened for media but the other 90% of the time it's a just too much of a comprise. The battery life is absolutely terrible and was the deal breaker for me. I would be at 20% or less by lunch time most days with it....and the camera is ok but still a bit of a sacrifice compared to even the much older 21 Ultra. Then you gotta buy a specific S pen just for this phone. I would overlook the camera and even no s pen but terrible battery is just too big of a deal to me.
I have the zfold 4, and I love it. If you are a productivity user, you will love it too, plus it's really a 3 in one device. This is like when Samsung started making big phones, so many people were against it until they actually used one. Folding phones are the future
As a Software Research Engineer at Samsung, I can vouch for the technical innovation being done by Samsung in their phones, it's just on the next level.
As someone that wasted 1000€ with no refund on the flip 4 six months ago with it falling three times to be complete garbage I can vouch this should be the worst lineup ever. Don't get me wrong I love Samsung and I got the phone day one with the best secure case I could find and I feel the quality still needs big improvement

There is something to note here. It's not compatible with "the S Pen" but rather a special version of the S Pen made for writing on that screen. This is only a PSA to anyone watching that owns this phone: do NOT use a normal S Pen made for a candybar-style phone on the inner screen of the Fold (in case it must be bought aftermarket, for example). =3 Also, I am absolutely open to corrections, so please lmk if this is incorrect.
And plus, the guy who brown the iPhone 15 pro max glass with durability test, did a bend test on this phone and it survived (now correct me I forget if there’s a fold 5 that I saw, not sure) But one problem is the screen literally doesn’t even survive.. a finger nail, that will get scratched up SO easily, but otherwise it’s an amazing phone by the looks

One of the main problems of the inner screen is really the aspect ratio which is not really great for most videos as usually the videos are 16:9 whereas the fold is 6:5 meaning the content usually doesn’t use the full screen
I used android devices since 2012 I changed from a Symbian Nokia. I bought the iPhone 12 in 2021, I have to say I’m very happy with my phone and I’m gonna keep buying iPhone.
It is funny that you have bigger screen but you get less content when zoom in. Unless you watch it without zoom in, but you end up with huge black bars on top and bottom of your screen. At this point, what left with the content size is just the same size as like when you are using your regular smart phone. Lol

I had the Fold phone then after nearly less than a year use, the inside display got faulty due to multiple time folding and unfolding. Eventually I switched to Iphone 14 pro max and now happy.
iPhone is good but their ringtones are TERRIBLlY outdated, not as many options, /customizations , no multitasking AND taking video and photos is a better experience on Samsung (you can pause while taking a video on Samsung).
I had to return my iPhone 14 Pro ( it was getting hot for no reason, and the sim card tray was sticking out on one side ) Eventually got a cheaper samsung, cuz all the white iPhone 14 pro were sold out.

Call phone, but after three folds, the screen gets really creased and bubbles start to appear so the quality is in great. They put subpar cameras in they should have the ultra cameras That a load of the deal killer to make it a daily driver And the reverse wireless charging great in a pinch, an emergency, but pretty much a complete gimmick
Personally, only 1 of these reasons actually impressed me, and that is the ability to use a good rear facing camera to take selfies or video calls, other than that there basically isn’t a single instance in my life when I wished to have any of the other features of this phone. But then again I’m not impressed by folding phones simply because it’s more or less a gimmick and doesn’t solve any burning issue with traditional phones
fyi, foldables definitely solve the burning issue of having to use a larger screen with multi tasking ability within those screens yet not being able to fit into your pocket as being portable
I had one for a month. Thought about switching from my iPhone 12 Pro to the fold. It’s a really cool device. The most important pros and cons from my experience are: Pros: - massive screen (Great for media consumption) - great camera - way better customization than on iPhone - reverse wireless charging (great for earphones) - USB C Cons: - massive screen (odd aspect ratios in some apps) - weight and size (it’s incredibly heavy and bulky when folded up) - prize (obviously 💀) - Google Playstore (too much trash) - Bixby is far worse than Siri I also noticed that it doesn’t integrate well into the Apple ecosystem. And I really missed Airdrop and MagSafe.

My 13 pro max fits in my pocket with no problem and I'd much rather have a better display, better cameras and an Apple logo on the back than a foldable phone that'll last me 3 months.

Spec sheets mean nothing on phones nowadays, chinese phones might have good-looking specs but they are borderline unusable; 4. What emulator would I ever want to run ON A SMARTPHONE? Why would I need BlueStacks if all the apps I want are on the App Store? And as for the screen resolution being from 2015, that's just BS. iPhone 13 Pro Max (the phone I use) has a resolution of 2778*1284, whereas the 6S, a 2015 phone, was only 1334x750. => samsung sheep?

If America was so inclined to use more third party messengers like WhatsApp and mainly Telegram, that does more than iMessage, Android would be a no-brainer for everyone. Apple, and Android to an extent (because they think copying Apple in every step is good), love to segregate and either lock or push away people from their ecosystem(s).

At this point, what left with the content size is just the same size as like when you are using your regular smart phone. Lol

@@Iaserzik samsung have their ecosystem but too which I didn’t tried. For me the Apple ecosystem is kinda like an addiction for me at this point. Last year when I bought my iPhone 13 pro max I actually wanted a Samsung s22 ultra. But still I ended up buying this iPhone. Like its like I have entered a closed garden and now can’t get out of it. I miss the level of customisation androids have. But still can’t get out of this thing.

I had the Fold phone then after nearly less than a year use, the inside display got faulty due to multiple time folding and unfolding. Eventually I switched to Iphone 14 pro max and now happy.

iPhone is good but their ringtones are TERRIBLlY outdated, not as many options, /customizations , no multitasking AND taking video and photos is a better experience on Samsung (you can pause while taking a video on Samsung).

@equallybiased Can you demonstrate how "The Z Fold 4" allows you to watch a movie or TH-cam using the full screen on the phone? The middle of the screen is used to watch videos or movies, while the rest of the screen real estate around video or movie is just a black screen.

Had one and returned it for an s22 Ultra. The battery is terrible. I really love how easy it is to use one handed when closed but you can't get through a day without charging it and mediocre cameras are a deal breaker for me. They are about 2 or 3 generations away from being amazing.
I had the same battery issues with the fold 2.

The truth is, the Fold 4 shldnt be compared to any phone right now bcos it's on a league of its own. The only thing I don't like about it is the tiny outer display. Other than that, it's on a different high level entirely.
I love the Tiny outer display. It's the only phone with a thin enough display to use one handed. And be able to send a message

Call phone, but after three folds, the screen gets really creased and bubbles start to appear so the quality is in great.
They put subpar cameras in they should have the ultra cameras That a load of the deal killer to make it a daily driver
And the reverse wireless charging great in a pinch, an emergency, but pretty much a complete gimmick
Personally, only 1 of these reasons actually impressed me, and that is the ability to use a good rear facing camera to take selfies or video calls, other than that there basically isn’t a single instance in my life when I wished to have any of the other features of this phone. But then again I’m not impressed by folding phones simply because it’s more or less a gimmick and doesn’t solve any burning issue with traditional phones

fyi, foldables definitely solve the burning issue of having to use a larger screen with multi tasking ability within those screens yet not being able to fit into your pocket as being portable

I had one for a month. Thought about switching from my iPhone 12 Pro to the fold. It’s a really cool device. The most important pros and cons from my experience are:
Pros:
- massive screen (Great for media consumption)
- great camera
- way better customization than on iPhone
- reverse wireless charging (great for earphones)
- USB C
Cons:
- massive screen (odd aspect ratios in some apps)
- weight and size (it’s incredibly heavy and bulky when folded up)
- prize (obviously 💀)
- Google Playstore (too much trash)
- Bixby is far worse than Siri
I also noticed that it doesn’t integrate well into the Apple ecosystem. And I really missed Airdrop and MagSafe.
He did even mention battery life nor operating system. Most folks buys stuff based on brand names

My 13 pro max fits in my pocket with no problem and I'd much rather have a better display, better cameras and an Apple logo on the back than a foldable phone that'll last me 3 months.

@@mashuharaguni7809 1. The screen on iPhones is not as easy to break as it was in the iPhone 4 era; 2. The resolution on OLED iPhones is so high you can't even notice further improvements; 3. Spec sheets mean nothing on phones nowadays, chinese phones might have good-looking specs but they are borderline unusable; 4. What emulator would I ever want to run ON A SMARTPHONE? Why would I need BlueStacks if all the apps I want are on the App Store? And as for the screen resolution being from 2015, that's just BS. iPhone 13 Pro Max (the phone I use) has a resolution of 2778*1284, whereas the 6S, a 2015 phone, was only 1334x750. => samsung sheep?
