    I literally was just thinking about trying to do Text with Emotes but wasn't sure how to do it. This video helped me out and will be trying to do an Emote with text. I am still testing out my Canvas size and from your previous video I believe I found the issue was I was making my canvas to small (300 By 300) so I am going to see if my emotes look better with 500 by 500 canvas. Thank you for these tutorials because MOST tutorials are to complex that I found on TH-cam compared to yours. Keep doing what you do your doing great.

      Thanks so much! Depending on what you're expecting to happen with your emote, any canvas size larger than 112x112 will work. My latest video talks about emote distortion, so if you haven't seen that it could help you understand canvas sizes and what not. So glad these videos are helping and more emote tutorials coming soon! 🤗

    hi, you appear to have many more brushes than come as default on CSP. For example the opaque watercolour brush you use is not on my version of CSP. The ASSETS are full of all kinds of home made brushes so it would seem impossible for me to find the ones you are using on there. What do I need to search for? Or did you set up all your own extra custom brushes? Thanks.

    I mean can you sell emotes of popular characters like pikachu without any copyrights problem?

    • @Shyfoxx
      @Shyfoxx  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Selling fanart is copyright. Anyone doing it is taking a risk. Each artist needs to get informed about copyright to decide if and how much risk they are willing to take as being negligent won't hold up as an excuse if action against them is taken. Many do choose to do it, think of artist alleys at comic cons. Definitely do some research.

    So when it comes to drawing a character made by someone, like Pikachu, are we free to recreate the character as long as its our original work? An artist depicted a ghost that I would like to use as an emote character, do I need permission from the artist, credit them, all of the above? Or is it free to use the character as long as I'm depicting them originally? Sorry if this question is confusing!!!

    • @Shyfoxx
      @Shyfoxx  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Technically we'd need permission for things like Pikachu from Pokémon to use which we don't have. Many break the rules of copyright knowingly. With emotes it may become an issue later on with certain companies caring that we are using their characters but as of now they don't care. So there is risks in a sense but that's up for yourself to decide.
      This ghost character you mention sounds generic so copyright of the characteris less so the issue. The issue here is you can't use an artists work without their permission. You can only use emotes you drew yourself or have permission from an artist to be using. Many break the rules on using artists work without permission as well but this is definitely frowned upon by everyone and taken more harsh than using the big companies characters.

      @@Shyfoxx thanks for the insight I was able to find the original artist I believe and I'm waiting on a response as to whether they would mind if I referred to their art while making emotes. They licensed it to someone who makes overlays so I'm thinking I'll be able to purchase the license to use it and then be all set!

    • @Shyfoxx
      @Shyfoxx  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1
