  • Quick walk around of our cheap bobber build on this 2007 V-star 1100. I go over the parts we put on, grips, handlebars, LED brake light and license plate holder, solo leather seat with plate and springs, and our exhaust solution, which is just taking off the mufflers and running it straight piped. Very fun bike, not the most practical, just a fast, loud, and fun way to ride around town. These vstar motorcycles make a great bobber, cafe racer, brat, scrambler, you name it. It's a very simple and straightforward bike to make custom however you see fit.

    The straight header sounds good under acceleration but I can’t stand the sound when you let off and coast so I put it back😅

    Do you absolutely have to cut the frame?

    Quite similar to my 1100 YM 2002! Looks good! How does it run with those striped pipes? Bangs and pops? Did you take the AIS off?

    Beautiful bike man. I have the custom and wanted to get the 16inch front rim. With a beefy front tire like yours. What size tires are you running front and back?

      Factory sizes for the classic. They didn't need to be replaced otherwise I would've gone a size wider in the front and rear

    Did you have to do any work to the carbs when you pulled the mufflers and went to straight pipes? I own this exact bike and went to straights as well and have some popping and back firing going on and am wondering if that's harmful at all?

    Would bar end mirrors work with you set up ? Just bought that same bike and I’m going to legit COPY this bike and I just want to toss on some bar ends

      Yes they would. You can remove the spiked end of these grips, there is 4 little hex head bolts and then the cap will come off, exposing the handlebar underneath 👍

      @bikesandbangs  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Blue collar bobbers makes a few bobber fenders for these that hug the tire and look good. Can't remember what they cost though

    Awesome bike! I have a 2000 that I wanna do. I thought about leaving part of the rear frame on. Do you have a video of how it sounds and cutting down the frame?

    • @bikesandbangs
      @bikesandbangs  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't really have a video cutting the frame. Just used a sawzall, nothing to it. I'll make a video of it running and riding soon 👍
