    AN ENCOURAGING WORD FROM CHERIE
arly this year my husband was diagnosed with several small bladder tumors, one being high-grade and fast growing. We wasted no time in getting him to Oasis of Hope Hospital for holistic treatments where the diet was all organic and plant-based. The tumors were removed before we went. We just returned in July. Tests showed no return of any tumors. We are jumping for joy. I kicked up my juicing and increased the vegetables. It all paid off. People have asked me why the husband of the Juice Lady got cancer. Does my juice program work or not? It works. Here’s where it all broke down. We had a leak last year behind our drywall. When it was finally discovered, we had a “garden” of black mold. Our entire kitchen had to be taken out. We were stripped to our refrigerator, studs, and the floor. It took almost 6 months to get our kitchen back, fully remodeled During that time we had to eat out or get food to go. We were not able to juice or prepare our nutritious organic foods. We got some juices at our local juice bar, but it wasn’t the same. In that short time, cancer came on strong for my husband. How do we know the timeframe? He had his bladder checked not quite a year before. He had a few small growths that were considered just a nuisance. They were removed and his doctor said no worries. That had gone on for about 5 years, but we had kept it all at bay at grade 0 with the juices and our organic, simple diet. Eating out continually is not a good choice. Who knows how much GMO, unhealthy oils, salt and preservatives are in the food. We’re back on track and we know first hand what juicing and eating organic, plant-based food means to our health and for my husband’s healing.
    Anti-Inflammatory Juice
    1 cucumber
    1-2 carrots
2-3 broccoli stems or stems with florets
1/2 fennel with stems & fonds
    1/2 apple
    1 small lemon, peeled
    Raw Soup
1 cup carrot juice (about 5-6 medium to large carrots)
    1 medium avocado
    1/2 tsp. ground cumin
    Blend everything until smooth.
    Yummy No-Bake Carrot Cookie Balls
    1 cup rolled oats
    1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 shredded unsweetened coconut, set aside 2 tbsp for garnish + extra to roll the cookies in
3/4 cup dried raisins or pitted dates
    1/2 cup carrot pulp
1 tsp monk fruit or 1/4 tsp. liquid stevia
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 tsp cinnamon
    ½ tsp nutmeg
    ¼ tsp cloves
¼ cup water or more if needed
    INSTRUCTIONS
Blend oats, sunflower seeds, coconut in Vitamix or food processor until you get a fine consistency like flour.
Add in dried fruit, pulse a few times to break them up, then add carrot pulp, sweetener, vanilla and spices.
Slowly add in water. You're looking for a consistency of slightly wet cookie dough
Scoop out about 1 tsp. of dough at a time and roll into balls. Roll each ball in shredded coconut.
    Enjoy!!!

Love Cherie here in Seattle and have had the pleasure of attending in person classes at one of our PCC Natural Foods Stores. Inspirational life story and one of my favorite juice book authors 😎

English cucumbers that don't have plastic are sprayed with Apeel. I read they are spraying mandarin oranges, avocados and apples. Apparently walmart and target have it sprayed on some of their produce. It can be sprayed on organic apples☹️. Perhaps go to local farmers markets and orchards.

I juice 2 sweet potatoes with one apple in my Nama J2 and strain it. Then add cinnamon on top. It tastes like a dessert.

If I clean up carrots with veggie scrubber (Norwex) or peel carrots, I like to save the carrot pulp, freeze and then add to pancakes, oatmeal, soup, Etc,
    Same with peeled papaya.

I use my blueberry pulp and I make fruit roll ups and they taste amazing. I also strain my juice so that gives me more of a base for a fruit rollup and then my juice is nice and refreshingly thin and not thick. I put it in the dehydrator and then cut them with a pizza cutter once they are done. Yum Yum.

One of my favorites is to use the pulp from organic grapes, because then you have a grape 🍇 roll ups!

I use the Dash Cold press Masticating juicer for a quick juice. I can juice and clean the juicer in 10 min or less. So compact and easy to clean. Tiny footprint in the kitchen. The Nama sounds nice but it's huge and expensive. I also like the Omega 365 slow Masticating juicer. Easy to clean and under 100 dollars.

🍅Frozen Tomatoes of ANY variety: these work amazing for making an Italian red sauce! Just throw them into your pot with fresh garlic, onion, red pepper flakes, pinch salt, and water (no oil). Cook, adding more water as needed, then add fresh basil. Or add dried Italian seasonings when cooking the tomatoes. I experimented one day by adding small-diced zucchini because I never want to eat zucchini really and was hoping it’d disappear into the sauce, and sure enough it really did flavor wise. My family loved it and even a teenager asks me to regularly make this sauce.

Good to hear it said out loud - glass jars freeze fine as long as you first freeze it without tightening the lid ( or first freeze without a lid).

I have tried other juicers when I was out of town and believe it or not the taste is actually different because of the way it’s processed. I’ve never had anything taste so good then I do out of my
    Nama J2 juicer.

A few ways to avoid apeel (and inflation/food shortages). Buy from trusted local farmers, farmer's markets, online co-ops or CSA's. The best option, which you covered, is to grow it yourself. Rip out your bushes and plant blueberries, blackberries, etc. Take down your pines or oaks and plant fruit trees and grape or muscadine vines. Not enough space? Rent a plot from someone who does have space or start a community garden in your neighborhood, town or city, this helps your community grow more too.

The stem from a broccoli has more vitamins in it than the broccoli head themselves I understand!

I am disappointed that there is no website or way to contact Cherie to ask questions. I am both curious and fascinated about how a tumor is expelled from the body along with severed blood vessels. It's information that is hard to process. I would like to know more before I would be able to take it seriously or consider living this lifestyle for both me and my family.
