- For the first time ever on the channel, we're playing AEW Fight Forever! My review went live earlier in the week, and if you watched it, you know I've been having a great time. It's certainly not perfect, nor will you drown in its depth, but gameplay-wise? Goodness gracious. Let's throw down in a big way. my first match in this game was cm punk v mjf. i was punk and i won the world title. this game is mad fun i’m hyped for the content to come my guy
So I bought the season pass and (as its sold seperately only) Matt Hardy. Had a little mix up with Amazon and my pre-order there so I had to buy the post release copy. Its rare a game like this comes around for me. I love it so much I'll dump as much money as they want for new characters. Its so fun playing all my AEW favorites.
Im getting this game next week and looking forward to seeing how fun it really is. Ive always been interested in it and seeing your review certainly helped as well, Ian

Abadon is genuinely creepy looking, but a total sweetheart if you ever get a chance to talk to them. I've learned more about Abadon these last few months and had to have that be the first pick. In season, you get dialog like "grumbling noises" and "growling" for most interactions. It's hilarious. Abadon and Miro have been my favorites.

another great video Ian!! I have been having so much fun with this game and in my game Kris Stratlander is the belt collector with all the belts. Here in canada we only got the regular edition and no option to purchase the Elite edition so hopefully we can get a chance to get some of the DLC here.

I am really not a fan of the majority of AEW programming with the exception of the occasional match. But i pre-ordered the game purely as some kind of alternative to the 2K games. I’m honestly having a lot of fun with the game. I haven’t really seen many glitches and the gameplay is fun and easy to pick up. Community Creations would be an awesome addition, other than that I’m actually pleased with it.
Do I press and hold the run button or do I tap run and hold a direction?
I would love to see you do a season mode or something like that for this game. Especially after you get the DLC wrestlers. That Maliki Black and Eddie Kingston ending was picture-perfect, real chef's kiss type of energy!
Imagine getting Joe into the game, and blessing AEW with the Power Game! Blessed be!

I'm hoping they stick to their guns and don't abandon updating the game the way GTA V did. I'm intrigued by AEW-FF going this route. I hope they stay the course. THIS could be revolutionary in the Pro-Wrestling video game genre.
Possibly, even in the fighting/sports video game genres as well.

The core gameplay for the game looks ace. That Black Mass into exploding ropes was dope. I just wish there was more content to justify the high price. Looking to pick it up when it goes on sale.

I bought fight forever (ultimate edition) after thanksgiving 24’. Point blank cm punk was my go to and I didn’t see him. Where is he? Please tell me I have to unlock him. I have all dlc available…. Did they take him out of the game?

I am enjoying the holy shit out of this game at the moment! I absolutely love it! In my opinion though, the game needs more CAW parts, a tournament/championship mode, and a NJPW and ROH DLC and it's going to be perfect for me!
AEW - FF NEEDS a Steel Cage Match.
Just like #Ian said, it's ridiculous that there's no Steel Cage Match in 2023.
Just as ridiculous, only allowing 4 characters in the ring at once, and no multi-wrestler Ladder Match.
I'm positive I can think of more, but I'm not going to beat up on this game before seeing if they're serious about going The GTA V Route 1st. And I've been enjoying it so far, based off of what I've been playing

They should steal your idea for the areenas (as Taz calls em) they had red white and blue ropes for Dynamite/Rampage for a while and only ROH had the black ropes.

I've played the game for 7 hours now. Road to elite is okay. I love the barbed wire death match. Especially the historic ending 😂😂. I'm debating whether to get the FTR pack but $12 is steep.
$12 is closer to what they should charge for the game, not the dlc.

found it...When the Casino Battle Royale begins, lose right away. Following that loss, proceed to win all your matches until the next storyline block, When asked what to do, pick “Go Sightseeing”. During this event you'll be invited to join the dark order, to which you should say yes. Win the following Fatal Four Way Match and subsequent tag team matches. Brodie Lee will eventually attack you at one of your fights, and will give you the chance at taking him on at the TNT Title Pay Per View Match. Once defeated, Brodie will be available for 30,000 cash in the shop

Played for about 3 hours it's ok haven't started road too elite.Only know a few names from the roster being a 90s early 2000 wrestling fan.Its trying too give you No Mercy vibes but doesn't at the moment for me anyway.

So far, I’ve been enjoying this game a lot, as the gameplay truly is addicting. But sadly, I do have a huge issue, and anyone who has this on PS4 specifically knows about it as well, that we can’t play this game with internet turned on, because if so, the game crashes every time we want to load into a match. This SUCKS, and I don’t know how this slipped by the devs. I truly hope this gets patched immediately, as everyone deserves to have fun with this game. The only way to get it to work on PS4, for now, is if you play with the system’s internet setting turned off, and it works, as I tried it, and finally got to play. Anyways, sorry for my little rant, as I truly hoped my first experience wouldn’t be miserable😔, but I’m very grateful that everyone else on the other versions, didn’t suffer this issue. Hope you guys continue to have fun with this game, as it truly is so much fun.👍
*Edit* - This was such a fun episode. Seeing those explosions on the Barbed Wire Death matches NEVER gets old, and tag matches truly are a lot of fun, as I played one too with the Hardys against the Lucha Bros, and got 7 stars myself. So happy for that😁. But yeah, when I can get it to work, Fight Forever truly is the most fun wrestling game I’ve play in years.😁

I’m 12 mins in to this and I had to stop to comment. The negative reviews for this game boggle my mind. But I think I’m overrun by nostalgia. Seeing this camera angle with the spirit meter is soooooo cool. And this gameplay is top notch. Quick matches, not too long but not too quick either, and the spots are insane. Black Mass kick into the exploding barb wire for the win, I mean come on, so awesome. Ok, watching the rest now. I got this for Switch, need to get it for Xbox, the Switch doesn’t do it justice, too much lag, it can run this game properly. Love these videos man 🤘🏻❤️

So for those who have Ps4s the game doesn't play online, you need to be signed off to play having not known that it reset my match history, similar to No Mercys game breaking glitch.....they legitimately created a No Mercy Clone down to its biggest fault.....unplayablity
The small things it does right is abysmally shallow
Tacks, belts, roster, arenas, thats it
They were forced into a game of chicken with a company that had 30 years of gaming history behind it in WWE
And instead of working on a project privately they announced it prematurely and sold it on pre orders of BEING SOMETHING DIFFERENT
However they made a base game engine and didn't refine it, test it, or make it universally fun, tables suck, the fact weapons go away after 2 hits is ridiculously ineffective when it's so RANDOM what you get
Counters barely work if they do, and signatures and finishers are ridiculously over powered to the point Kenny Is the Equivalent of Shao Kahn cause he does 2 moves and gets a signature and spams it, he's NOT A FICTIONAL END BOSS he's a regular person
The Counters are So Random and hit and miss without prompts there's no way to learn how to time shit this isn't 2000 ADD A PROMPT
Then we get to the pinfall kickout system that worked for RUGGED CONTROLLERS OF THE PAST
Since controller now aren't made to stand up to a slight breeze slamming buttons on it is stupid as fuck when so many other systems could have been implemented
The Game does a few things right but they wanted a bare bones game that was ineffective that they could patch for years.....had they NOT PUT PRE ORDERS OUT we wouldn't have known about this project but loose lips sink ships and this game is already out of my system, in its case and put away probably to only be played for a deathmatch or 2 and walk away

For a company so cutting edge its such a step back not even graphically which it looks great arenas look amazing details with the ring is great
The Game has 0 replay ability and that's the worst part
WWE 2k23 released with a roster of people I haven't the slightest clue whom they are Santos Escobar?, alba Fyre? The community creations makes it repayable and you can download all 60 characters from the game using less than the 1000 images on WWE 2k and still add more to it
They rushed this and it's fucking sick they got peoples money and didn't want to make a playable game

On the next fight forever they need the crowd to be more excited when got ur popular wrestlers with crowd a split chant for both wrestlers like one screem John Moxley & others Kenny Omega do you what realness it will give the game along the announcement team given the ppl what they want.....lol & give Ricky Stark to come give a play by by @ times when he gets injured give Taz, Tony JR & Excalibur just being silly even thou Taz & Excalibur don't get along but they do times they cracking jokes @ times but go back to heel baby face announce team. The holy shyt give the crowd the excitement in the game that makes it an original & now put in the wrestlers to give comments toward the crowd & the crowd responds to what they say & do. I know I might be wrong but when MJF threw that drink in the kid face but it was real but he never went out of character that will make so real & plus Tony has to fine or suspended him that be off the chain. I need to see crowd singing Jericho entrance music when comes the ramp & watch him look @ the crowd singing it or jungle boy when crowd swinging there hands side to side do know how much pop you get on the game. I need to all Rey Fenix crazy moves specially him walking the ropes & the cage yes, yes, yes & Wardlow finisher Symphony Powerbomb multiple times like real life & crowd behind what pop.
i hate how they keep pinning after a 3 count. wrestling games usually mess up such obvious stuff.

I wish Ian would give 2k23 an actual chance instead of assuming it's bad because it's 2k23 and not HCTP. AEW Fight Forever is a great game and I'm glad everyone Is enjoying it I just feel it's unfair that people shit on 2k way too much. Sure Hell in a Cell could be better, GM mode is only alright, and the 2k showcase is kinda lame but everything else is honestly great. I don't wanna tell people what to do I just feel like as a fan of wrestling and not just the video games 2k does a great job at capturing the feel of wrestling.
Never once have I “assumed it was bad.” I’m always complimentary of the modern 2K games. I don’t have any interest in playing them. I enjoyed 2K18, didn’t like 2K22, I don’t buy any annual game every year. I’m glad people like them, but they’re not for me.
