My mom just bought my little brother two baby scooter turtles from Chinatown and didn’t realize how much work they need to thrive and be healthy. My question to you is, are the fish food for the turtles? We’re going shopping for an appropriate habitat tomorrow and any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
How do you prevent the Fish from jumping out? My Platies clear at least the 6 inches between the top of the water level and the edge of the tub. I have a 150 Gallon Oval Stock tank.
Just saw this post as I'm looking for a 75 to 100 gallon or so stock tank for my juvenile CST. Where did you order the tank from? Also, how did you handle salinity and UVB for your diamondbacks?
Do you know if it’s possible to build a latching screen lid for a stock tank without the wooden frame? Any suggestions for how to build a basking dock for a stock tank? I’m hoping to upgrade my YBS from a 75 gallon aquarium to a 300 gallon stock tank and put it in my basement.
@@chicchi19771 If it’s in your basement I wouldn’t worry! I use a lid just to predator proof it. I’d do a wooden frame still, but the locking mechanism you can screw direct to the tank. Otherwise you can probably do something similar with the wire itself and a sprinkler hose frame or something semi flexible

Actually, the larger the turtles, the more they ignore the fish. The larger turtles have to expend a lot of energy for one small morsel of a fish, and they understand that it's simply not worth it to do that. I also have a pond built, ready for them when they're at size :) I purchased this knowing it would be temporary.

Great enclosure for small turtles but in 5 or so years,it will be too small for them. Once the turtles get a bit bigger say good by to all those fish.
