@@TeethTalkthat’s funny I always felt like I was doing it wrong by using just a little because I have a sensitive (fissured) tongue so the more I use the more it hurts. This makes me feel better lol.
This channel is amazing. One of the best on TH-cam. Why? Because you help us take care of our dental health, which is a super important in everyone's life. I have a video idea if you find it interesting: How can we use bubblegum (those that claim that are good for our teeth, like the ones that have Xylitol), to help keep our teeth healthy? Maybe it can help regulate our Ph? Thank you Whitney!;🎉
thank you so much for this kind comment!!! means more than you know :) and I have a couple vids about the benefits of gum and I def plan to make more! until then -- here's my older ones: th-cam.com/video/AwY4O73HAlE/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/6D050cgCZaw/w-d-xo.html hope these help! thank you for watching!
Dentist told me I have tooth erosion in back of my front teeth. I'm having a hard time finding a low abrasive toothpaste but also with out the harmful ingredients that can worsen tooth erosion. Any recommendations????
I'm not sure what the best toothpaste is, but I used to use Crest Pro Health, but changed to Colgate toothpaste recently because it was on sale. Both work for me.
I use this toothpaste which has calcium sucrose phosphate ions and my dentist recommended it. It is approved by IDA(indian dental association), however does it work the same as fluoride or does it have less effect than fluoride?
I fell for the anti fluoride sentiments for many years. Then went back to fluoridated toothpastes for a couple of weeks. Due to information like this. I started to get nightmares, interrupted sleep and overall a sense of dread. Fluoride is known to be a neurotoxin in “high doses” I guess maybe I’m extra sensitive to fluoride, but I can only comment on my experience. Your mileage may vary, but thought I’d share my experience.
I personally can't use fluoride toothpaste as it makes me sick - instead I use one with hydroxyapatite and I'm ok with that. My diet is also very mineral rich too and very low sugar so I think that helps. But in terms of fluoride in my experience I haven't used it in 25 years and never had tooth decay or a filling.
Hi Whitney, been following you for years and years and love your videos, so informative! Quick question is there any real difference between a fluoride percentage .243 and .45 noticed that some have a lower and higher percentage, is it still serving the same purpose? Thank you and God Bless 😊
Hey hey! Thank you so much for following me and for your kind words! And great questions! So, Sodium Fluoride: Percentages typically range from 0.243% to 0.45%, depending on whether it’s over-the-counter or prescription-strength toothpaste. Most people are fine with OTC fluoride toothpaste, but some may need a higher concentration, which requires a prescription from their dentist. You might also notice the percentages are different because Sodium Fluoride and Stannous Fluoride are different. For example, Stannous Fluoride is usually at 0.454%. But they are generally both serving the same purpose (the OTC sodium fluoride and stannous fluoride). Here’s my video explaining the differences between Sodium Fluoride and Stannous Fluoride in detail: th-cam.com/video/4WaZufEbWEc/w-d-xo.html hope this helps!
the best toothpaste is the one that the American Dental Association (ADA) has accepted because it has the necessary data to support its claims. I only use toothpaste that the ADA has approved. If it’s not ADA-approved, I won’t touch it.
Usually about a pea size. You don’t really need much for it to work. But I still make a line on my brush because using more makes my mouth feel cleaner.
Dudette! I must have accidentally unsubscribed a few months ago. I just figured you got swallowed up by Chicago, got shot or something. Glad to know you're still kicking!

You look better than ever. i remember checking out your videos 2 years ago and just looked them up today for some whitening advice and wow.
I miss the days when ADA accepted tubes of Toothpaste used to come in 12oz tubes in the 3 packs. It seems like I'm constantly buying toothpaste.

What about using a xylitol toothpaste?
Or using a natural toothpaste alongside a regular one with flouride?
Could you make a video if the modes on an electric toothbrush useful and worth it and how we should use the modes

Since they do different things can you combine fluoride and nano-hydroxyapatite, to get the protection and remineralization?
I think I missed what one you said to buy? I like to go to the store and just grab.
What about brushing with coconut oil ? I heared many got whiter teeth with it..
Thanks for your help.
