Both Nova kits are godlike support weapons. I've only used the vanilla in Clam Blitz and the Annaki in Tower Control but I've helped the teams I've been in to get so many wins - including multiple wipeouts per game. A damage buff would be nice, but the kits have so many strengths otherwise that I don't think they need it.

They should make the Nova a 4-shot kill already. Annaki nova is only decent cause of inkjet spam, but ballpoint can do the exact same thing, and is way more adaptable
As someone who uses this weapon, I don't think it needs it. The weapon is designed to support, poke from a distance and spam inkjet. Could you imagine how annoying it would be if it could actually fight too? Yeah ballpoint can do all that too, but it's movement is hindered by charge time for balance.

I love the Nova both for the kit and its speed. I run all swim and run speed on my gear and it's so fast. The main thing that ruins it for me is the accuracy. Even with the five hit kill I lose encounters I SHOULD win. All because my spray parts like the red sea whenever an enemy approaches. I think an accuracy buff is something it needs. Love this weapon

Yeah it’s really inaccurate and slow to kill, but because of its range, mobility, ink coverage, and ink efficiency, you can often keep the short range weapons far enough away to slay, while moving quick enough to avoid chargers and blasters. There’s no weapon with the same range that inks as well or moves as quickly and that’s the nova’s niche.
YES IT'S REALLY GOOD! Mines are perfect for both nova and jet! You get huge range and can deny space! You have to remember to constantly change your mine placement. Manual mine activation is actualy really good and it makes you feel like a smash snake player! I've mained this weapon for about a month now and it's playstyle is very unique!
Nova paints really well and has pretty good range so even if its a 5 hit kill your going to be spamming its special like crazy and getting a few free kills just by being annoying.
This weapon may be for support but from experience, I can challenge most slayer weapons. It out ranges most of them while still kinda weak to blasters if you get caught off guard
IMO Nova's actually kinda good for an "Inkjet 101" pick. The main weapon is pretty inaccurate but paints well so you can get it often, Ink Mine can be placed before it pops special to protect its landing, and there's not many gear slots it really NEEDS so putting lots of Special Charge/Power Up is a viable option for the Inkjet.
I also want to add that the bad accuracy trains you to try and get accurate hits often, which translates well into better Inkjet usage. I still think there are other better Inkjet picks (Tri-Slosher is a MONSTER) but it does well for learning how to use it better.
I solo-main an angle shooter weapon, and while it isn’t the actual worst sub in the game like everyone says, it’s definitely bottom 3. The angle shooter would be a good fit for the Nova in the sense that both Nova kits got subs that track enemies, and the long range it has matches the Nova’s playstyle of “only engage safely and when you outrange people”. However, the vast majority of subs in this game are better than angle shooter on the vast majority of weapons. The best “locating” sub that the Nova doesn’t already have is probably the autobomb.

How do pros always take the worst weapons in the game and get 13+ kod?? I had to use this on the sampler challenge and said this is just as bad to use as any blaster (which pros also love using.) The ink mines do this thing no help.

I like putting mines around my inkjet recall so it’s harder to camp and I know if they are there so I can shoot a that spot in jet

They should’ve given nova the accuracy buff they gave the normal splatter shots. Nova would be top 5 at that point
But then you'd get the special slower. The weapon is meant to be a turfing one. I d rather have a 4 hit kill, but then it would be OP.
