I groaned when I first saw that box set, it looked like it would be so fiddly and hard to make, well your instructions were so clear, now I want to make some! Thank you!
Your methods make things clear and easy to follow. Thanks for spelling it out! I'm so glad you have the videos and the instructions for projects. I've had to miss your live feeds the last three weeks. :-(
Great job! I've watched three other videos today of this project and I must say -- "Your's make the most sense." I absolutely LOVE the idea of making a prototype first and adding all the measurements for matting on it! Brilliant! Simply brilliant!
I love the sample idea. With all my health issues, I get interrupted or simply forget. And I would make again and again and not stress about in subsequent constructions. Great job. Dee
I used to make projects like this with plastic canvas. But paper crafting takes up most of my time now. I love this stationary box! It's pretty, fun, and I think it would be a great gift for friends, family, or even a favorite teacher! Great video! Thanks Maymay!
I bought some coordinating paper stacks and card/envelope sets from M's to make some stationery gift sets... and now, I am SO excited to add this box to the list of uses for these pretty papers! Thanks, Amy!
Yes please make the cards and note cards on Tuesday!!! This is the absolute cutest little thing ever. Gonna be making several of these for sure. Thanks so much for the tutorial Maymay!!! Love ya bunches and Tell Vinnie I said Hey.....guess what........ War Eagle!!!! 🙄
I know this is an old video, but I found it. You asked if we thought this is over-kill - ABSOLUTELY NOT! I appreciate all of the time you take to describe the project and the steps. Thank you so much.
I absolutely LOVE your idea of the template box and putting the measurements and the info on the template box and pre-cutting and labeling your decorator papers! What a great video, so detailed. What a great gift idea! Thanks for sharing.
I just found this, I want to say as a mom with crafty daughters, that template box with the measurements seems a perfectly reasonable so that they know what they need. Heading to the store to get a few supplies to get started. My girls did say it makes it easy to see it.
I made one! I followed your easy to understand instructions and printed out the measurements from your blog. Thank you for making this project. I love how you walked us through it. I'll be making at least ten of these for gifts for the holidays and birthdays.
you are REALLY REALLY good at presentation! your explanations are clear, you don't stutter, or say UM, and the transitions to create a "real time" effect are seamless. GREAT WORK! (p.s. i teach for a living!)
The tutorial and video are very well done. The extra efforts you make to share what made things easir or the box more stable for ease and clarity are greatly appreciated.
Awesome!! I was talking to my daughter about how much easier it would be to have the sample! You make things so much easier to understand! I can't thank you enough!!
You are a great instructor Maymay. I just made one for one of my nieces to give to the teacher in one afternoon. This is something that I will keep making over and over again. Tahnks
i will now follow you. i always wanted to make something like this but it looked to complicated. i love your step by step instructions, and all the tips you shared. thank you so much. i think you are an awesome teacher.
Maymay, I gave a stationery box for a birthday gift and boy was it a hit. Already got orders to make some for Christmas gifts. Thanks for your tutorials.
I love it....thank you Maymay and yes please show us the card making and tags process to finish this project....I will be making a few of these this Christmas for sure......Again many thanks ...Pat
The video is an excellent resource Maymay! You did a fantastic job with the instruction as well. Everything was clear and systematic making it easy to follow. I think having the template to refer to for future use will certainly make this project easier to do and I look forward to giving this a try in the very near future. And yes! Please do show us how to make the card! As always, I look forward to your videos because of the care and detail you take in preparing them. Thank you again for sharing Maymay. You are certainly one of the reasons why I continue to enjoy crafting. God Bless You!
This is the first time I have ever seen one of your videos and I have to say it was Wonderful! I love how easy you made this and how you shared all the measurements and tips! Thank you!
I'm beyond excited to do this! I have subscribed. Can't wait to catch up with all your videos... to see how you grew to this amazing successful crafter!
I have made this a lot of time and love put into it and not to mention the cardstock. Loved doing it.I think using the alphabet for the sorting the paper out is a fantastic idea.
Maymay--here it is Aug 2021 and I'm TOTALLY going to make several of these for Christmas gifts!!! Your thoughtful efficiency in all of the How-to-Build is SO WONDERFUL Thank you!!!
i want to let you know that your the best on doing stationery box. I look at about 4 different people could not show how it was done. So thank you very much.
I just now discovered this video. I love the idea of making a prototype and writing down the sizes. I did that with the folios we recently made. Excited to make some of these boxes and not have to use chip board for stability.
Made my template box & love it! Only change I made was in the length of the notepad cover. Made it to where a 3x3 post it sticky pad will fit inside the cover. That way it can be refilled when it gets empty!
That is amazing. I also don't think your template is over the top. I have no trouble following your directions. I think you are a great teacher. Love this series.
I came across your channel by Maymays channel. She was making one of your albums and suggested we check your channel out. I am certainly glad I did. You have a lot of interesting videos. I am sure I will learn a lot from you. I will be joining your facebook group as well. I love your excitement for everything. Thanks for the opportunity for entering your contest.
Just wanted to let you know I finally got a chance to put the box together. It was a little challenging because I don't have a 12 x 12 score board but will soon. Your directions were awesome!!!! I'll post a picture after it's completed. Thanks May May!!
I love your method of making a template with the matting measurements and corresponding letters to panels. I have a problem if I make something and then go back to make another one and have to determine the sizes again. Also, I like the idea of having all the mats cut out and then just glue. It makes the process that much faster. I may use this template idea for a number of other items.
Definitely not overkill! Especially for me! I have been wanting to make one of these, but, I'm glad I waited to see you do it! You explain things so that even I can understand, and I'm not too crafty! By the way, I ordered art glitter from you because you kept saying how much you love it. I've never had luck with glue because of the humidity here in Louisiana. With the pen in the glue, I haven't had any problems! I love it!
MayMay, you are a Godsend! I watched your tutorial first on this box and it was a good thing I did! Had I watched several others first which were equally as pretty, I would've been zoning out. My attention span is limited! Your instructions were concise and descriptive. Thank you very much!
Hi, I have watched so many tutorials of these boxes but your video has helped me so much, it is the easiest by far for me to get a handle on, thankyou xx
Maymay, this is so very helpful. I love how you made a template box with all the measurements and explaining all the steps along the way. Amazing work. It will help me in making my boxes. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Mary
I made one of these stationery boxes several years ago. I remember it being tedious. I like the way you broke down the steps. I'll try it your way. Thanks!
Your tutorial is absolutely fantastic. So well illustrated and precise. I watched, took down a few basic measurements and will get the rest from your blog. Loved the sample box with measurements, makes life so simple when you have a prototype in front of you. Thank you so much for sharing your inspiration with the world. 🌎 👍🏻. I am anxious to make one.
Maymay you are awesome ! I've watched many of the stationary box videos and was very confused and overwhelmed. You just made this very easy to understand and explained it perfectly. You are the best teacher! love the template idea and I would enjoy watching the cards and tags video. Thank you soo much.
I made one of these too and it took me 2 days to make a Cricut file. It totally tested my patience and brain. Your idea would have made it so much easier.
Thank you for showing us how to make the stationary box. Very easy to follow instructions. Definitely will be making a few, so the template box is a wonderful idea.
what an amazing idea to mark up the mats and in your sample you could pre prepare all your mats and put them in the pockets thank you for sharing your awesomeness
I think it is a great Idea. I made this a few years ago for my Mum from a splitcoast stampers tutorial having the extra measurements actually helps with matting and what not.
I LOVE the template that you made for the body of the box and the the actual box with all the measurements. I am in love with these stationary boxes and I am making a bunch for gifts and craft shows and these will definitely come in so handy. THANK YOU for these very helpful ideas!!!
I'm looking forward to making this. I think I will use dollar tree poster board instead of the card board. I like the idea of white or black instead of brown. I made the prototype without the mats and I think I'm going to like this even better once I get my craft glasses.
Great tutorial! I think is works great to make a sample. I wouldn't have thought of that, but seeing why you did makes me realize it's a great idea. I would've just made one, then realize later I don't remember what I did that first time. This is why I love watching tutorials on TH-cam. I learn so many different helpful hints. Thank you!
