- This is the new Audi A8 and it's quite literally the ultimate tech fest! For the 4th generation A8, Audi have introduced a level of technology that has not been seen before, from the likes of remote garage parking by a mobile phone app, to the most trick active suspension system I've ever seen and absolutely everything along the way. With time to explore the different versions including the A8 L 60 V8, the W12 and even the e-tron, is there anything better right now?
To experience the A8, I join Audi's launch event in Valencia, Spain where I have a full opportunity to very thoroughly investigate the car, show you around the design and features, take it for a test drive and then see some of the highlights aspects in more detail. My apologies for the length of the video but I think this is a car introducing so much new technology that it deserves having that shared and seen.

Shmee150 audi strikes again
Shmee150 The S Class had predictive suspension since it came out in 2013. It's called Magic Body Control. I don't know why people are thinking this is new.
I think u should divide the video in parts ,that's going to give you more views.
The only downside I see of all this level of technology is that the older customers that find that operating a smartphone is too much, would definitely find these kinds of interfaces too complicated. And the age-group for cars like the S-class, 7 series, A8 and the like are definitely older. Personally I'd bloody love that much tech and one of these A8's may have a place in my future.

Time to sell of aging 2011 A8L . It feels very old now but at 94 thousand miles it has never given me any issues and I love it. The old 4.2L v8 wont die.

Looks a little but strange to me, but I thought the same about the new Q7 until I got to drive one and see it for the first time, it's just perfection and "greatness", way better than a BMW X5 or a Mercedes GLS and has definitely way more road presence. I'm pretty sure it's the same with the A8, you have to see it in person and take a ride
RAVibo Had the same thoughts. The Q7 or even new R8 didn’t click with me until I saw them on the road. Both look incredible imho.
kraenk12 Right? Pictures just can't do them justice. Had the same problem with the Mercedes AMG GT, when I saw the pictures I immediately thought "Wow, looks like a cheap, miniature copy of a Porsche 911" but then I saw one on the road and to be honest, I was completely wrong. This car looks brutal and has some amazing lines, a "German muscle car"

What an absolutely stunning car, you could actually live in it if you had to, for a short while at least, I love the parking assist and the garage parking, there's so much technology in those cars, it's practically unbelievable and it sounds and looks so smooth on the road, I've never had an Audi, maybe one day, thank you for doing this review, it was an absolute pleasure to watch

Oh man, I am so jealous! I want to drive the car since I saw the first pictures of it, but I never had the opportunity.
It's scary how the car parks itself after you get out of it. I can't believe how fast technology is progressing, I remember growing up in high school and we didn't even have cell phones yet we had beepers. I can only imagine what tech will look like in another 10yrs.

18:48 - Finally! ...I'm glad someone has said this about touchscreen in cars. It's all going in the wrong direction is you ask me. Touchscreen in cars is dangerous and annoying. Luxury = getting what you want in the shortest amount of time. Heating, lighting, radio etc, should be an instant click away. Not searching in menus and taking your eyes off the road - and then having to double check if you hit the right spot or not. The interface should serve you - not you serve the interface.
If I were a car designer, I would create one universal menu in the steering wheel for all functions at your fingertips.

Its louder tyre noise in this video than the noise in the S-class video and its the same camera for both films.
I'm not sure the A8 is as good as the S-Class flagship car's.

Audi has probably chosen a design evolution instead of a revolution because it is important not to stand out in this segment!
The progress to the predecessor is definitely in the whole car to see and the new operating concept I find through the touchscreen with haptic feedback, the buttons well replaced, very successful! 👍
Audi AI after level 3, the new suspension as well as the new innovations are the new benchmark in the upper class and we will soon see them in the upcoming facelifted Audis.

Hi Tim, After watching this some what great video it's fair to say Audi is making BMW & Mercedes new cars look already out of date I'm just lost for words this is the Germans having a bit of fun on their day off this car will just fly out of the showrooms and most BMW & Mercedes customers will be trading them in for this absolutely great vehicle. Not everything is perfect but this amount of tech gave me major wood. Will get in 15 years after depreciation takes hold. Lol
Man, I LOVE this car, the tech is outstanding. Watching Knight Rider when I was younger imagining car AI to get to a sophisticated level, and it starts here. What would alos be cool, as well as AI parking, is if on the driver could select a plot menu to track through tight spaces and have the car use the most efficient way of getting through (which would be a great help to you at the moment I bet Mr Shmee!).
However this wouldn't make the greatest TV cop car, apprehending suspends with a door smash is now a thing of the past.

At the moment, this is the best sedan out there. I love the Audi design though a few people find it to be a bit plain. To me it's a classic look that will never be out of fashion.
Feel like i've seen this title before...
Can't wait to see the 600hp W12 version in action. Based on the new nomenclature, I suspect it will be called the A8 70.
